Stage 1 – Complete the game.

Tales from Candleforth is a small, creepy horror point and click adventure. For the Platinum Trophy, you have to play through the game once and pay attention to a few things, as not all trophies are story-relevant. What to look out for is explained here in this step.

Intro

Play until you reach the pumpkin creature sitting in his armchair. Here all items have to be clicked for the trophy “Curiouser and curiouser!“.

Epilogue

After the letter has been sealed and you have tried to leave, cracks open in which small mini-games must be played. The first crack is in the mirror at the entrance, where you just have to collect the moth for the trophy “Moth(er)“. The next one is on the right, one room away, where you have to remember which notes fall down and pull the corresponding hairs accordingly. Before this is done, must the Hooks be removed from the hair. (“Meticulous hairdresser“) After that, the right hair can be pulled for the trophy “Sing out loud“. In the next crack, one room further, the flowers need to be protected from withering with the help of clouds. This game consists of 3 phases and in the third, all the flowers must be rotten at the same time for the trophy “Bad gardening“. After that, it can be solved correctly. After the fourth moth has also been collected, it must be placed in the mirror where you drank the elixir, correctly on the first attempt. For this you get the trophy “Astronomy“.

Chapter 1

In chapter 1, there is a place where valves for a liquid must be opened in a certain order. This has to be achieved in the first attempt for the trophy “Simple Alchemy“.

Chapter 2

In Chapter 2, you have to knock on skulls with a bone right at the beginning. For the trophy “Shake your bones“, it is necessary to take the wrong order. Just hit it a few times somewhere. After the hares have been put in the right order, it is necessary to remove the thorns with scissors, but first try with the bare hand for the trophy “Crimson Red“.

Chapter 3

In Chapter 3, a path leads through several mirrors. Here you have to choose the right way for the trophy “Through the looking glass” right away. The solution (from left to right) is as follows: 3, 1, 2, 3, 2

Chapter 4

Once you enter the barn, there is a stone tablet on your right. Here you have to choose the right signs so that the door opens. There are two trophies for this, namely “Carved in stone” and “Needle“.

Careful! Don’t break anything.

In the intro, where the pumpkin creature sits in the armchair, everything you can click on has to be clicked on before you click on the book to his left for the second time.

Moth(er)
Get paper moths.

Story related. You obtain this after the first moth was collected in the epilogue.

Astronomy
You really know your stars.

This trophy is unlocked in the epilogue if you place the four moths correctly in the correct spaces without any mistakes.

Bad gardening
Maybe you should do something else for a living.

This trophy can be obtained in the epilogue if you let all the flowers rot at the same time in the gardener mini-game in the last step.

Meticulous hairdresser
Make an impecable work.

In the epilogue, in the music minigame, the hooks must be removed from the hair.

Story related. This trophy is unlocked in the prologue after the flower minigame. Protect the flowers with the clouds from the sun or the moon. Depending on which light they prefer.
