- Scurry down the tree on the other side and hide among the leaves, twigs, and pine cones at its base, so that it won’t be able to smell you

- Abandon your sword, leap up and rush south down the path
- Retrace your steps back along the path, hoping the ogre has gone

- Try to evade the tree trunk and dart in close to the ogre
