Welcome to Phasmophobia! Phasmophobia is a 4-player, online co-op, psychological horror game. You can play solo player too! You and your team of paranormal investigators will enter haunted locations filled with paranormal activity and try to gather as much evidence as you can. Use your ghost-hunting equipment to find and record evidence to sell on to a ghost removal team. Realistic graphics and sounds as well as a minimal user interface ensure a totally immersive experience that will keep you on your toes.

Notes:
There are numerous online videos and websites that will explain “how to determine” which ghost that you are currently dealing with. This is the basic evidence you can gather from a simple investigation, but you can also learn about the traits, the tells, and how to determine which ghosts to eliminate and then determine the ghost you are currently dealing with in your game session. There are numerous videos on Youtube for helping you become better at the game. A few video examples are below. You can also search “Phasmophobia Ghost Guide 2024”, “Phasmophobia Cheat Sheet 2024”, or “Phasmophobia Ghost Tells, Behaviors, Traits 2024” and you will see websites that have charts available for you to quickly see the evidence, the tells, tests you can do, and the behaviors of various ghosts.

Stage 1 – Play the Game (Single Player or Multiplayer).

Play through the Tutorial of the game so that you are familiar with all the different tools in the game, there is an associated trophy. The vast majority of trophies will be earned naturally or even accidentally through regular gameplay. You can choose to play either single player, multiplayer, and/or any combination to earn associated trophies for naming the correct ghosts, surviving, completing tasks, unlocking equipment, earning XP to level up (and unlock higher difficulties), earn money, and to unlock map locations. After level 50 you can choose Custom difficulties and use this to help earn some trophies that can be annoying to earn. You will need to continue to play the game for hundreds of sessions to level up to a minimum of 300 (Prestige 3 for an associated trophy). At any time you can switch to do any of the items in Stage 2 as you like.

Stage 2 – Complete Apocalypse Trophies and Various Challenges.

You must play for the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Apocalypse in single player mode. Each of these will have an associated multiplier with them. Bronze will be 6X, silver will be 10X, and gold will be 15X. You will need to play for the Apocalypse trophies on the Sunny Meadows Mental Institution Unrestricted map.

Paranormal Perfectionist
Obtain all trophies.

Congratulations on your shiny new platinum!

Gold Hunter
Obtain the Gold Apocalypse Trophy.

This must be done in single player mode. You will need to set your Custom Difficulty to Apocalypse III. This is the 15X multiplier. You can change any of the Player, Ghost, and Contract criteria so that it shows 15X with a gold skull beside it. You will then need to select to play the Sunny Meadows Mental Institution Unrestricted map to play on. This is the most challenging difficulty that you will need to play on in the game as the ghost will be 1.5X speed and you will be 0.5X speed with no sprinting. The ghost will hunt for either 50 or 60 seconds depending on how you set your Custom difficulty in the game. You can check if a ghost is hunting you if you can not hear it by trying to use a light switch. If you can flick it up and down this tells you that the ghost is not hunting. If you cannot flick it up and down then it is currently hunting. This means that you will need to be prepared with a setup that will make you be more successful.

For this session, you will need to:

1. Correctly identify the ghost.
2. Complete the 3 Optional Objectives given.
3. Take a photo (any star quality) of the ghost.
4. Survive the investigation.

You may want to reset the game if you find the Optional Objectives are not to your liking. When you have easier Optional Objectives, you can then start your investigation as you attempt to do all the necessary requirements (Optional Objectives and get a ghost photo) and then leave the game session by closing the truck door. You do not need to collect the Bone and it does not need to be a perfect game. The easiest ghost to earn this trophy on is a Deogen as it will be slow enough for you to loop it around the desk that is in the side office to the left from where you enter the building.

Silver Hunter
Obtain the Silver Apocalypse Trophy.

See Gold Hunter for more information. You will earn this trophy automatically if you complete the Gold Hunter trophy first, however you can do this trophy on its own if you want. You will need set your Custom Difficulty to 10X by changing the Player, Ghost, and Contract criteria and this will show 10X with a Silver Skull beside it. You will then need to select to play the Sunny Meadows Mental Institution Unrestricted map to play on.

I
Reach Prestige I.

You will need to reach level 100 for you to earn this trophy. You will now have a “I” in front of the level shown on your ID card when you start a game session.

II
Reach Prestige II.

You will need to reach level 200 for you to earn this trophy. You will now have a “II” in front of the level shown on your ID card when you start a game session.

III
Reach Prestige III.

You will need to reach level 300 for you to earn this trophy. You will now have an “III” in front of the level shown on your ID card when you start a game session.

Flawless Execution
Complete a perfect investigation.

For any game session (single or multiplayer), you will need to investigate it to get all 3 of the Optional Objectives done (shown with a red checked as completed on the truck bulletin board or in your Journal), Fill up the Photos on the truck bulletin board or in your Journal (with 3 Star quality), collect the Bone, identify the Ghost correctly, and leave the session by closing the truck door which means you survive the game.

Fully Loaded
Unlock all tier three equipment.

You will need to reach level 90 and then buy all of the upgrades for the Tier III items.

Doom Slayed
Get killed by a Demon ability within the first minute.

Demons can hunt you at any Sanity, even 100%. You may need to play this on a Custom difficulty if you do not earn this trophy naturally. For the Custom difficulty you will want to set it as shown in the pictures below. When you exit the truck the timer will start for your 1 minute. You should use a timer, the video camera or parabolic mic as they both have the time shown while using them. Enter the building (recommend to use Tanglewood Drive or a map that has a special event that makes the ghosts faster) and then move around to try to find where it is located. If you have a Demon it may use its ability within the first minute to kill you. If you do not get killed within a minute then you will need to quit and try again. Eventually you will be successful, but it could take a long time with the RNG of this game.

Escape Artist
Escape a Revenant.

You will more than likely need to get some evidence or information that the ghost is a Revenant. When you know you are dealing with one, you will need for it to hunt you. Once it starts to hunt, you will need to hide or get away from it. You can use a Smudge Stick when it comes near when it is hunting to blind it and then you can run away and hide from it. You will need to wait until the Revenant is finished hunting and then leave the building, get back in your truck, and close the door on the truck.

Extra Mile
Complete 50 optional objectives.

Every game session that you play will have 3 Optional Objectives. You can see them on the bulletin board in the truck and inside your Journal. Complete any 50 Optional Objectives to earn this trophy.
