Welcome to the trophy guide for Metro Awakening. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4/5 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Roadmap


Welcome to the Metro Awakening trophy guide. Your main goals are as follows:
1. Pick up all the postcards, 3 in each chapter
2. Complete all stealth sections without being seen or killing people
3. Complete the game on hardcore difficulty

Furthermore, there are some misc. trophies. These are mentioned in the roadmap below.

The following trophies can be earned during multiple chapters and aren’t specifically mentioned in the roadmap:

Surgical Precision – Kill 25 humans with a headshot.
Return to Sender – Retrieve a Helsing bolt from 6 killed enemies.
Threading a Needle – Kill an elite slaver with a single headshot through their visor.
Soft Tissue – Hit Nosalises in their weakspots 30 times.
Instant Hangover – Use a bottle to knock out an enemy.

Currently the trophy “Upholding the Hippocratic Oath” is glitched and not obtainable. The publisher is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. 8-December-2024 with version 1.006.000.


Chapter 1
1.1) After turning off the valve in the maintenance shaft your wife will speak to you again. She will turn off the steam, allowing you to pass on her right side. In the distance is your first postcard on the wall.
1.2) Shortly after 1.1 you will walk across a dressing room of sorts. Look towards the left on a blue locker for your second postcard.
1.3) After completing the shooting tutorial, check the left side tunnel before entering the right side tunnel. There is a postcard towards the end of the left tunnel.

Chapter 2
2.1) You will come towards a metro station with a little bonfire. Next to the bonfire is your next postcard
2.2) Once you find your way into the radiation area, a postcard can be found in this grey cabinet
2.3) You will need to progress a bit further by turning the red valve door. Instead, continue forward into the dark alley. It’s around the corner to the left.

Towards the end of the chapter you will find your first stealth area. For the trophy called “Hippocratic Oath” you must complete these sections without being spotted and getting a single kill.

Chapter 3
3.1 As you enter the station, enter through this little gap next to the stairs. Your next postcard is on the wall, next to the drawings. It will also unlock “No Space for a Treehouse“.
3.2 Just after the section where you find your first grenade. Walk down the stairs and walk behind it. It’s on the wooden table.

The code for the door is 010011 or: Off, On, Off, Off, On, On as seen in the screenshot “Code”.

3.3 After the stealth section you’ll come across a well-lit table. On the table is your next postcard.

Chapter 4
During this chapter, you must kill all enemies before retrieving your backpack. This unlocks the trophy “Now I Have a Machine Gun Ho-Ho-Ho

4.1 Once you escape the prison, you could shoot this door upon getting a Gun. You will come back here after grabbing your bag and postcard 3.2, so you may save it for later.
4.2 Inside a vent with mushrooms, you will go there after grabbing your backpack. Once outside the vent, you could circle back to 4.1

4.3 During the second stealth area. There is a campfire with 1/2 enemies standing near it. On the couch is your final postcard of this chapter.

Chapter 5
5.1 Inside the trainwreck with the many mushrooms. You will arrive at a crosspath. Go forward instead of right, for your first postcard
5.2 You’ll walk up some stairs, with blue doors on both sides. Take the left door and you will find a skeleton. Near him is the postcard.
5.3 The area where you move the bridge and the alarm sounds. The room where you flip the fuses has the postcard. Check inside the blue locker.
Note: Speedrun this section a bit, enemies keep spawning. Make good use of your explosives to cover yourself when running.

Chapter 6
6.1 After the section where you need to shoot off the monsters in your cart, you will arrive at a metro station. At the end of the train is a postcard on top of the wooden barrel.
6.2 Here you need to open up the door with the power generator. Inside the house is a postcard on the wall, next to the window.
6.3 Inside the labyrinth. You will enter a little cosy living room. Check the bookshelf on the right side for a postcard.

You will also be able to earn the trophy “Spring Cleaning” during this section. you must burn all blocking cobwebs in the labyrinth on your first visit. A lighter can be found on the right side of your backpack. In order to solve the maze, you will need to listen to the sounds. Follow the voices/singing through the pipes and you will find an exit eventually. You will visit the same sections multiple times, as your character loses his mind.

Chapter 7&8
7.1 As you enter the tunnel system, you must shut down a steam pipe. Look 3 meters further and check on your left side, on the table
7.2 A bit further you will enter your old “town” where a conversation will occur with 2 other people. Check behind them on the wall.
7.3 Towards the end of the chapter you will go into a wooden house again. Check on your right side inside a bedroom. It’s on a checkers board next to the bed.


Chapter 8 is short and has no postcards. However, you’ll need to grab a picture from the bonfire for the “Not Just Déjà Vu” trophy. Grab the picture and hold onto it until you reach the next cutscene.

Chapter 9
9.1 After you exit the shaft you will see a vault on your right side. Your next postcard is in there.
9.2 This section is packed with enemies. Advised to grab the postcard from the board and rush towards the ladder.
9.3 As you see the altar, enter the blue door on the left. In this dark section, take the path towards the right. It’s a dead end but it has the final postcard for this chapter

Chapter 10
10.1 As you enter the maze, go straight instead of right. This is the heading where no voices are heard. Walk a bit forward and check on your right side for a hole in the wall
10.2 During a section where the kid will speak to you. Check on the right side, on the board.
10.3 As you enter another tunnel. Don’t go forward, instead turn around. Go around the corner and you’ll find the final postcard of this chapter.

Chapter 11
11.1 During the stealth section you’ll go down a set of stairs into a vent. At the end of this vent shaft are two enemies. Wait for them to walk away. Head left. Behind the boxes is a room. Is this room is your first postcard.

11.2 During the next section (Load screen) you’ll be in a section with brick walls. Check the left path, into a room. There is a hole in the floor which you can cross. You’ll see a dead body. Check it for your next postcard.

11.3 As you exit a tunnel, you’ll see many dead bodies. Check the right side of this room.

Chapter 12
12.1 During the early section of this chapter. You’ll encounter a roof filled with a red gloom. Check the left side, near the bookpile.
12.2 The next section holds many enemies patrolling a metro subway. Near a campfire, you’ll find your next postcard
12.3 During the final section of the game, you’ll encounter a church of such. Check the front row seats for your postcard (right side seen from the screenshot)

Become Khan.

End of the Line
Reach the Terminus station.

Story related and cannot be missed.


Threading a Needle
Kill an elite slaver with a single headshot through their visor.

You can do this with the pistol, SMG or bolt shooter. The enemy in question wears a green helmet. You can only kill it by shooting it through the small gap in the helmet. You’ll encounter them many times during your playthrough. One can be found during chapter 4, as you retrieve your gear for the “Now I Have a Machine Gun Ho-Ho-Ho” trophy.


Spartan
Complete the game on hardcore difficulty.

As you start the campaign, make sure to select hardcore difficulty.

Note: Using chapter select with a lower difficulty will void this trophy. Refrain from lowering the difficulty during your playthrough!


Now I Have a Machine Gun Ho-Ho-Ho
After getting imprisoned, kill all slavers on the platform before retrieving your gear.

This is earned in chapter 4. Highly recommended to do on easy.

Escape your prison by shaking the door. Stealth along all enemies until you can see your bag through a hole. Now walk down the stairs. This will generate a sound, luring the first enemy towards you. Stealth kill him. Now, look towards your right. There is your next enemy. You can also stealth kill him.

Now, 4 enemies remain. Grab the guns they dropped and put them behind the piano. Make a sound with the piano and lure the first one in. Close quarter kill him with your weapon. Now, you should have enough ammunition to kill the others too.


Upholding the Hippocratic Oath
In a single playthrough, complete all stealth sections without killing any human enemies or getting seen.

Currently the trophy “Upholding the Hippocratic Oath” is glitched and not obtainable. The publisher is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. 8-December-2024 with version 1.006.000.


Welterweight Champion
Take out 5 enemies using a melee knockdown.

A melee knockdown can be performed by sneaking up behind an enemy while crouching. Knock them on the back of their head with your fist.


An Omen
Meet the shaman.

Story related and cannot be missed.


Return to Sender
Retrieve a Helsing bolt from 6 killed enemies.

You will obtain the Helsing Bolt towards the end of chapter 4. Whenever you kill enemies, you have a chance that you can retrieve the bolts from their bodies. Do this a total of 6 times.


World Tour
Collect all 33 postcards.

Refer to Stage 1 for more information regarding this.


No Space for a Treehouse
In the home station, find the children’s secret hideout.

As you enter the station during chapter 3, enter this little gap next to the stairs. Your next postcard is on the wall, next to the drawings. It will also unlock “No Space for a Treehouse“.


Bandana
Find Petya.

Story related and cannot be missed.


The Scouring of Akademicheskaya
Return home during darker times.

Story related and cannot be missed.


Surgical Precision
Kill 25 humans with a headshot.

Get a total of 25 headshots kills on humans.


Down the Rabbit Hole
Have a tea party with friends.

Story related and cannot be missed.


Spring Cleaning
Burn all blocking cobwebs in the labyrinth on your first visit.

During chapter 6, inside the labyrinth.

You must burn all blocking cobwebs in the labyrinth on your first visit. A lighter can be found on the right side of your backpack. To solve the maze, you will need to listen to the sounds. Follow the voices/singing through the pipes and you will find an exit eventually. You will visit the same sections multiple times, as your character loses his mind.

Cobweb

The Way to a Woman’s Heart
Eugenia opened up to you.

Unresolved Business
Free the people locked inside an old train cart.

Story related and cannot be missed.


Tili Tili Bom
Follow the singing pipes all the way to the metro tunnel.

Story related and cannot be missed.


A Glitch in the System
See the same collapse happen twice.

Story related and cannot be missed.


Locked and Loaded
Go out on a mission to help your wife.

Story related and cannot be missed.


Soft Tissue
Hit Nosalises in their weakspots 30 times.

The weak spots are around the centre of their “Penis” area. You will encounter Nosalises many times during the campaign. Still, you might not earn this trophy during the normal course of the game.

At the start of chapter 9, you can find 2 Nosalises wandering the area. Shoot their weak spots and reload the checkpoint if you die/kill them.


Not Just Déjà Vu
Bring an object from a hypnotic dream back to the real world.

Chapter 8 is short and has no postcards. However, you’ll need to grab a picture from the bonfire for the “Not Just Déjà Vu” trophy. Grab the picture and hold onto it until you reach the next cutscene.


Instant Hangover
Use a bottle to knock out an enemy.

Bottles can be found in many places. Hit a regular enemy (without a helmet) with a bottle on the back of their head.


A Window into the Past
Find a postcard.

Refer to stage 1 for more information regarding this.


Lost and Found
Retrieve something that was taken from you.

Story related and cannot be missed.
