Stage 1 – Get to know the game

Welcome to the trophy guide for Lost in Random: The Eternal Die. A roguelite dungeon crawler, which can be compared to the likes of “Hades” (GOTY 2021).
There are a couple of things you should know before starting the game:

1. You need to beat all the bosses without getting damaged. This can be made easier with certain relics such as the Notched Belt, but it still ranks up the difficulty to a 7/10.
2. You’ll need to grind ‘pip dust’ for the “Peak Performance” trophy.
3. Have 6 foes stunned simultaneously (“Stunning Performance“). This is done with the “Wrath of Stars” card.

Stage 2 – The No-Death run

To attempt this, you will need the following set-up:
Weapon: Bow (Enhancements; Sevendipity, Spring Coiled Arrows, Rick O’Chet’s Wraith)

Blessings:
A. Slaying Servants (+30% against Mare and his higher Servants)
B. Dashing Strikes (+30% weapon attack damage)
C. Painless Lessons (Ignore first damage) – This doesn’t work on bosses but greatly helps stacking the relics described below.

Must have Relics:
A. Notched Belt (Rare) (Defeating a foe rewards a stack of 5% increased weapon damage. Resets upon taking damage)
Max stacks is 100 (=500% extra weapon damage)

Good relics:
1. Charged attacks inflict Burn/Poison/Chill
2. Weapon damage increase
3. Around 350 – 500% increase in weapon damage from matching the red colour

Relics:
1. Something that inflicts status effects, such as “Dagger of Poisons”
Getting the 100 stacks on the Notched Belt:
The notched belt is a rare drop. This is best farmed against the first boss (Doublets). Defeat them and see if this relic is available; if not, quit the game and start again. Repeat until you have the Notched Belt. You can work on getting stacks during world 2, 3 and 4. 100 stacks should be achieved during world 3.

The relics “Painless Lessons” will help you grind the 100 stacks as it ignores the first hit during each regular encounter. After clearing one (or a couple) of rooms, press start and select “Save and Exit”. Should you get hit and lose the stacks, quit the game from the main menu and restart the game. This will spawn you back at where you last saved.

A Living Nightmare
Defeat Mare the Knight without taking any damage

To attempt this, you will need the following set-up:
Weapon: Bow (Enhancements; Sevendipity, Spring Coiled Arrows, Rick O’Chet’s Wraith)
Blessings:
A. Slaying Servants (+30% against Mare and his higher Servants)
B. Dashing Strikes (+30% weapon attack damage)
C. Painless Lessons (Ignore first damage) – This doesn’t work on bosses but greatly helps stacking the relics described below.

After clearing one (or a couple) of rooms, press start and select “Save and Exit”. Should you get hit and lose the stacks, quit the game from the main menu and restart the game. This will spawn you back at where you last saved.

The fight itself:

Phase 1:
As the cutscene ends, you can do a single charged hit.
Now make your way to the bottom right corner. Dash as Mare comes towards you. 6 orbs will fly, but should not fly towards you.
Dash again to create some distance between you and Mare. You should be able to get 2-3 hits in.
Repeat the process until phase 2 starts.

Phase 2:
Mare is shielded and in the middle of the arena. She will shoot out 2 rings of orbs. It’s best to position yourself in the right bottom corner and dash towards the area where the gate is. This should keep you safe from getting hit. Now you will shoot out some orbs. These can be dodged by dashing. After dodging 7 orbs, dash behind the circling orbs and dodge two more incoming projectiles. Now keep standing at the edge to avoid getting hit by the next attack. Try to get a hit in.

Now, 4 lesser enemies will spawn. These can be killed off with a single charged shot each. Try to keep your distance from Mare. She will keep on dashing with flying orbs, just like phase 1.

Phase 3:
As you start phase 3, it’s important to be in the middle area. The outer area will be hit by an Area of Effect attack. The second attack is nearby, so make your way to the outer area. For the third attack, she will create an earthquake. This can be dodged by dashing through it. This is your first opportunity to get 2-3 attacks in. As in phase 1, she will dash attack and orbs will fly out. In addition, 4 homing orbs will spawn. These need to be dodged with dashes.

Furthermore, 4 corrupted dice will spawn. You will need to kill at least 2-3, as they will spawn a shockwave. With only 1-2 this is easier to dodge.
As for the final move, she spawns in 3 mirrors of herself (on fire). This phase is chaotic and hard to put to words when to strike.

Anti Cardist
Defeat Mare the Knight with no Card equipped

At the start of your run, don’t pick up the card presented. During the game, also ignore the cards available. This could be combined with one of the weapon runs needed for “Weapon Practice“.

Weapon Practice
Defeat Mare the Knight with every weapon

The game has a total of 4 weapons available, these being:
1. Sword
2. Bow
3. Spear
4. Mace

Each weapon has its benefits and can be upgraded accordingly.

Healthy Deconstruction
Defeat both of Formageddon’s robots without taking any damage

In world 3, you’ll need to defeat 2 bosses (in separate battles) to progress through the portal. For obvious reasons, you will need to build as described in “A Living Nightmare“.

The Formageddon – MA Ultra
Attack 1 – Shooting rockets. These can be dodged, or you can shelter behind the ice.
Attack 2 – Flame spin. Take your time and dodge. You can get 1-2 attacks in. Don’t get too close.
Attack 3 – Bomb spawn. They spawn far away – you could keep slashing away

The Formageddon – EKV iter.04
Attack 1. Shoots an iron ball. Needs to be dodged

This one is a lot less tankier and should be killed fairly quickly before it can become dangerous.

Conquer the Nightmare
Defeat Mare the Knight

Refer to the trophy “A Living Nightmare” for more information.

Peace Out
Exit the Black Die with all possible Allies

This can be earned as soon as you completed all side-quests with the NPCs.
When you press R2, you can navigate to ‘Allies’ and see all site-quests still available.

One includes finding many dicelings, which is probably the last one to be earned.
At a given time ( I beat Mare 3 times at this point) the final NPC in world 3 (“Formageddon”) will also give you a “Shred of Hope” and join you in the black dice area. You’ll need to following NPCs to be present:

1. Formageddon
2. The Rug Reader
3. Sophia Firbase
4. Rack
5. Mannie Chex
6. Chance
7. Visionary
8. Aama
9. Old Child
10. Cee Alot

Big Numbers
Deal 200 damage in one hit with any source

Many relics and blessings boost your damage output.
Stacking red relics and the relic “Notched Belt” will certainly help you reach a number far greater than 200.

Deal with the Devil
Have 2 corrupted Relics equipped

Corrupted relics can be found at random, once in each world (3 total if lucky). Corrupted chambers don’t always include a relic, so it’s a bit RNG to achieve this.

Bingo Beast
Color Match 5 Relics and Pearls in a line

To achieve this, put 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. Then link the fifth relic in the middle. This can be done with a relic or a color dye.

Slippery Toad
Defeat Eema without taking any damage

Eema is the second boss encountered within the game. You will face it in a swamp. The swamp itself will slow you down big time, so try to stay clear of it.

Phase 1
The fight will start with Eema doing a ground dash. This causes an earthquake, which can be dodged with a dash.
As the frog strikes down, it will rest for a bit. This is your shot to inflict damage. This should be enough damage to cause it to go into phase 2.
Should it start rolling, you can dodge it by dashing away until it stopts rolling.

Phase 2:
During the invulnerability phase it will spawn minions that can be killed by doing a single charged shot each. Stay a bit back as Eema will also throw explosives towards you. Repeat the steps from phases 1 and 2 until defeated.

Relatively Unharmed
Defeat the Doublets without taking any damage

Mace Armor of Sixtopia and Spear Armor of Sixtopia are doublets and the first bosses you will encounter at the end of World 1.
You won’t have your relic, “Notched Belt” yet, so everything comes down to your skills!

There is no fixed order in which the bosses spawn, one at a time.

Phase 1.a – Spear Armor of Sixtopia
It has 3 attacks available:
– Dash with its spear
– Triple Dash (You’ll see a red flash before)
– Shooting green orbs

After each move from the boss, you’ll have some room to attack.

Phase 1.b Mace armor of Sixtopia
It has 3 attacks available:
1. Throwing green bombs at you
2. Charge attack followed by green bombs
3. Regular attack

When both have 50% health, they will face you together. The combos remain the same, and only one will attack at a time. Don’t rush and take your time to inflict damage.

Fixer Upper
Harness 4 boosts using the same Relic

You will have to use the same relic a total of 4 times to achieve a boost, for instance luck or damage. The best use is a multi-colored relic. If not available, you have to use dye to achieve multiple boosts.

Peak Performance
Obtain all of Aama’s Blessings

Aama’s is available in the main game and blessings can be bought from it.
You’ll need pip dust to purchase them all (and max upgraded). Pip dust isn’t farmed fast and will take time to earn.

A strategy could be to farm the first boss and quit (after claiming the pip dust bonus) or beat the whole story to claim multiple pip dust bonuses after defeating the bosses.

Save the Children
Find a Diceling

Dicelings are found throughout the world, hidden behind pots, stairs and even statues. You’ll need to collect a bunch for a side-quest, so keep your eyes peeled!

On a Roll
Get 4 rewards from one consecutive Dice Challenge

This challenge is available in all worlds, but it will spawn randomly. If available, you’ll need 4 rewards from it. This is best done by rolling a low number. Luck will increase your chances at earning multiple rewards here.

New and Improved
Unlock a full Weapon Enhancement path

Weapons and enhancements can be bought and changed in the hideout. They are available at the big metal robot called Rack.

Make Room
Replace a Relic or a Pearl

Replace an already placed relic or pearl with a new one.

Dressed to Impress
Equip an entire set of garments from the Wardrobe

The Rug Reader has clothes available for you to change into. Clothes are unlocked as you progress through worlds as a reward. A full set, for instance, is the “Sixer” with the “Sixer Smile” (Mask), “Sixer Hat” (Head), “Sixer Cape” (Back), “Sixer Uniform” (Body) and “Sixer fortune” (Fortune/dice).

Paint Job
Repaint the same Relic or Pearl 3 times

Repaint the same Relic or Pearl 3 times. Best done using the middle one.

Fully Stocked
Unlock all of Rack’s weapons

Unlock the 4 weapons available.

Counting Blessings
Obtain a Blessing from Aama

Obtain a Blessing from Aama

Roll In The Hole
Throw Fortune in a pit

During the final world, you’ll see the abyss next to some tiles. This is the pit and you’ll need to throw Fortune (the dice) into it.

High Roller
Roll higher than Wager Rollins’ die

This is yet another mini-game available in the game. You’ll need to chip in 10 coins before you can roll your dice. The good thing is, you can try multiple times until you succeed.

Close Call
Dodge 10 attacks that would have been a killing blow

Dodge 10 attacks that would have been a killing blow. Depending on the enemy, around 5-6 health should be enough to trigger this.

Deadly Dose
Defeat 25 enemies with a status effect (Poison and Burn)

Poison and burn can be obtained from blessings and relics. You should get this trophy without any problems during the game.

It’s A Trap!
Defeat 25 foes with traps

This is best achieved with the lance, as it has a knockback. Use this to push enemies into traps to defeat them.

Practice Makes Perfect
Do 10 Perfect Card Attacks during a visit to Mare’s games uninterrupted by dying or reloading a save

This is easiest to achieve with the Daggers of Poison, as you get 5 uses before needing to refill it.

Stunning Performance
Have 6 foes stunned simultaneously

This is the hardest bronze trophy on the list. You’ll need to be lucky to find a room containing 6 enemies AND having the stun card called “Wrath of Stars”.

The enemies stunned need to survive for this to count, so world 1 is ruled out. World 2 seems the best option as more enemies tend to spawn here.

The card can be obtained by “Giving up” in the menu. This spawns a new card at the start of the dungeon.

Looking the Part
Change clothes in the Wardrobe

Change clothes in the Wardrobe. The NPC which makes this available is found at random in a dungeon.

Deadly Concoction
Have one enemy be burning, poisoned, and chilled

Inflicting element effect can be achieved with various methods such as:
1. Card attack
2. Charged attack
3. Dice
4. Weapon enhancements

You could go for:
1. Burn damage on sword (Enhancement)
2. Frosty Syringe (Charged attack inflicts Chill)
3. Dagger of Poisons (card)

Note that this is best achieved against a larger enemy, such as a boss. (duo to health limits of the enemy)

Sibling Rivalry
Defeat the Doublets

Refer to the “Relatively Unharmed” trophy for more information on this.

Racking Up
Unlock one of Rack’s weapons

Unlock one of Rack’s weapons.

Factory Reset

Found at random in the dungeon.

Rugged Rescue
Rescue the Rug Reader

Untouchable

Make sure you have the Blessing ‘Painless Lessons’ (Ignore first damage) active. This makes life a lot easier.

Bingo!
Color Match 3 Relics and Pearls in a line

Big-Headed
Give a Memory Fragment to the Visionary

Memory fragments are found at random in dungeons. Give these to the visionary to complete her side quest.
