Welcome to the trophy guide for Evotinction. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4/5 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Play through the Story + Simulations.


During your first play through you will learn the layout of the game. There are 2 trophies related to important choices in the game so make sure that you choose the opposites in your next play through. You should collect as many resources as you can and whatever collectibles you find along the way. Make sure to keep track of these as you play, you can use the table under Stage 2 to find a pre-made tracker if you do not have one. Upgrade at the Terminals throughout the game as they can provide free resources to unlock and craft needed upgrades to your arsenal of items. At the end of this playthrough, you will be awarded various items and skills, along with a New Game+ (NG+). You can go back to the Main Menu and play any unlocked Simulations. There are 32 in total, however they are not all accessible until you have finished the story at least once. You will need to get a minimum of “S” rank on all the ranked Simulations and the others you will need to complete.

Stage 2 – Focus on all Collectibles.


There is no Chapter Select in the game, however you can quit the game and upload your game save to PS+ Cloud. Remember to turn off automatic uploads of your game save data so that you can upload/download as you need. For your second play through you will need to start a NG+ and replay the story with a focus on finding all of the collectibles. You will need to go into all parts of an area and when you are within 10 m of a Collectible, you will see an icon in the top right area, like an ID card or a record for an audio file to collect. Your two scan functions will not pick up on the location of the collectibles. However, you will hear a bing sound and the item will have a blinking green light.

Stage 3 – Speedrun the Game.


For this play through you will focus on avoiding enemies as much as possible and navigating through an area as quickly as possible. Destroy the bare minimum number of enemies and be as stealthy as you can. You do not need to clear areas and can exit areas as long as you are not under attack. You can press the Touchpad to skip most cut scenes to save time. You can do a Tactical Scan by pressing L1 to see where any resources are located if you are in need of any. In particular the Batteries will show up as triangular prisms and show how far away they are. You will need to get an overall rank of “S” for your entire play through otherwise you will need to play the game again to decrease your time. See the videos below for more information.

Audiophile

There are 46 Audio Logs to find in the game. One in particular is only available based on a choice (Rika’s Log 7) that you made in the game so you will need to collect the other choice based Audio Log in another play through. Another is only available after doing the Speedrun of the game (Rika’s Log 10) where you need to get a minimum of “S” rank overall.

When you are on the final chapter called Defeat MORE, you should make a PS+ Cloud save so you can reload if needed. You will follow the directions to get to the area where the final battle will occur. All other enemies will be gone so it is just a process of navigating to the location. After you move down a long corridor, you will have to defeat the multiple arms of the tree monster by targeting and destroying them.

The second part of the battle will be where you are in a room where all the bodies are inside the cryostats pods. Depending on the number of humans you have remaining, this will either increase or decrease the number of rounds that you will need to do in this part of the battle.

You will need to destroy the cryostats pods, then when the scene changes, hunt down the dark monster ghosts and shoot them a few times. There will be multiple dark monster ghosts so be on the look out for them. Some will turn a white bluish colour when they are hacking your suit and you will need to kill these ones as soon as you can otherwise they will deplete your health. They will then attack you if you have survived the hack. Then in the middle of the room there will be a yellow glowing ball that you will need to shoot. Once you have killed enough dark monster ghosts the scene you will need to follow the dark strings that are coming out of your suit to find the next set of cryostats pods that you can destroy. You will have a limited amount of time as your percent hacked will continue to increase until you destroy enough cryostats pods to change the scene to be able to see the dark monster ghosts again. Kill as many dark monster ghosts as you can and then shoot the yellow glowing ball that is now a part of a tall figure in the middle of the room.

This cycle will continue of going between the two scenes until you eventually have destroyed enough cryostats pods and killed enough dark monster ghosts, and destroyed enough of the yellow glowing balls so that the last step is to press the button on the console panel in the middle of the room.

Reached the outside world

When you reach an ending to the game and decided what to do with the cryostats pods, there will be a cutscene, the credits to the game, and then another cutscene where you will leave the building to reach the outside world.


Hack Master
Unlock all skills.

As you play through the story you will gain new skills as the story unfolds. One of the skills will only be available by beating the game with an overall “S” ranking while others will be earned with at least an “A” or “B” overall ranking for completing the game.


Broke the Simulation
Complete all simulations with an S rank.

There are 32 Simulations that you will need to complete. Some of the Simulations are locked and will only become available as you complete their prerequisite. Some of these are focused on limited types of equipment, time limit, kill all enemies, make it from start to finish, etc. There are Simulations that do not have a rating for completing them as these are just a check for completion. You will need to earn at least an “S” rank in every one of the ranked Simulations for this trophy. See the pictures below for more information.


Zero Bug
Found all collectibles

There are 189 collectibles (Articles, Audio Files, Photos, Emails, Cards, Models, Genie Action Figures) to find and collect in the game. During your first play through you will probably find a large amount of them as you explore through the levels of each part of the game. The collectibles will have a red/green light flashing when you are close to them. The more you explore, the more you will find, however during any subsequent playthroughs after completing the game once, you will have unlocked the ability to have an icon appear in the top right corner of your screen when you are close to a Collectible. There is also an auditory cue along with the flashing red/green light when close to the item. Collectibles are unfortunately not revealed with your Scan ability. See the chart in Stage 2 that contains all Collectibles in a general order that they can be found in the game.


Tech Director
Unlock all simulations

Once you have begun the last Simulation, you will earn this trophy. For this trophy it does not matter what rank you have gotten on any of the Simulations as long as they are all currently available to play within the Simulation Menu.


No Rest for the Wicked
Escaped from the Genie Activation Hub in under two minutes

As soon as you have activated the Genie Activation Hub, you will need to do as follows:
1. Kill the 3 enemies in the Genie Activation area and then go to the elevator in the corner.
2. Navigate past the first Genie, up the stairs and go to your left.
3. Kill or stealthy avoid the other Genies and follow the path to the left.
4. At the end of the pathway you will be able to turn off the lasers at the gate that prevented you to move to the next area.
5. Go through the open gate and then continue forward to either kill or stealthy avoid or take down the two Genies.
6. Continue forward and then to your right.


Queen Bee
Defeat swarm boss.

After you play the “Rescue the Survivors” and “Download the SAA Data from the swarm queen”, you will battle the swarm boss.
To defeat the swarm boss:
1. When it is turned away shut down one of the floor controllers.
2. Shoot the 3 panels that stick out on the boss to stun it.
3. Shut down another floor controller.
4. Restock your batteries from the supply crate.
5. Shot the 3 panels that stick out on the boss to stun it again.
6. Shut down the final floor controller.
7. Shoot the box controller that is on the ceiling near the escalator.

Take same time for the above steps, you will need to avoid being in the white beam of lights that the swarm queen boss will fire towards you. You are not safe behind any containers that are in the line of the white beam of lights so keep moving and stay at a safe distance of it.

You will earn this trophy the first time that you complete the game.


Welcome to the Machine
Completed one simulation with the S rank

Play any of the Simulations that is ranked, and if you earn “S” rank or higher, you will earn this trophy. See Broke the Simulation trophy for more information.


I Am the Virus
Infected 5 AIs with a virus

You will learn the ability to hack AIs and install a virus on them. Equip the Virus (IFF) and then use it on any enemy. When it has installed, you will see a purple triangle above it. If this enemy is linked to another enemy it will pass along the virus to them too. Do this to a total of 5 enemies to earn the trophy. See the picture below for more information.


More than code
Let red genie go.

There will be a part in the story where you are hunting down the red genie. Eventually you will confront the red genie and you will have to decide the fate of it. You will need to choose to let red genie go (Spare). This will affect the next part of the story during this playthrough.


Piss Off, Ghost!
A stranger?

You will need to make it through the area before the Living Quarters and once you are inside the Living Quarters you will earn this trophy.


A day in HERE
Collect 10 or more diary of HERE crew

There are diary pages that are scattered throughout the game. When you are looking for collectibles, you will see a red/green light from any collectibles and specifically you will need to collect 10 of the diary pages of the HERE crew. See Zero Bug for more information.


Throw()
Develop 10 or more chips

Under MODEXT you will have a tab labelled Chip. Here you will see the requirements to be able to craft the various chips that are available. For some Chips you will need resources that you can find and collect as you make through the various chapters of the game, while some are rewarded for completing various tasks and times, and some require that you complete Simulations in order to earn Tokens. You will need to make 10 or more chips to earn this trophy. See the picture below for more information.


Insurance
Hacked a server and extracted enemy data.

There are sometimes computers or laptops that you can use that are connected to the server that will allow you to see “Camera view”, “Droid info”, and “ESCode”. You will need to click on the “Droid info” and it will begin downloading the information for the enemies in the area and this will earn you this trophy.


Control()
Control an enemy AI.

You can use the AI Control hack to go into camera view for an enemy and then control their movements (forward, left, right, etc.).


Red Chaser
In the universe, catch Red genie without arousing suspicion.

After you have completed “Search of The Trace of the Red Genie”, make a PS+ Cloud Save. From this point you will enter The Universe Hall that has models of the planets. Use your sonar to find out where the red genie is hiding (will have a yellow diamond above it when revealed) and use the sonar to see where the other enemies are located. Some enemies will be stationary and they will be turning to watch in a certain direction. Whereas a few others will be moving around like the one that is following the red genie. You will need to move in stealth to go down the stairs and then proceed left to go behind a container. The red genie should be making its way around the circular path and as soon as it passes you will need to follow it. As you are getting closer to the red genie, you will be prompted to hold the triangle button. If you are not caught by any enemies, including the red genie before this then you will earn the trophy. If you are caught or the red genie leaves and the trophy is not earned by the time it leaves and you need to go up the stairs, then you should download and replay your PS+ Cloud Save.


Fail early, fail fast
Uncovered Richard’s greatest fear.

You will need to close all of Richard’s Audio Logs. One of the hidden Audio Logs is found when you are going through your lab and you have entered into the office area. This will be where you interact with a wall panel to reveal that the shelves were illusions to show a door. Turn to your left and you will be able to go through the middle shelf as it is an illusion (doorway) to get into the secret lab (office area) of the lab. Inside here you will find an Audio Log that tells about about Richard’s greatest fear. See Stage 2 for all of the Audio Logs to collect.

Who am I
Found numbers of dead bodies in Old this.

You will earn this trophy automatically as you progress in the story when you come across a pit in the Old this where there are a number of dead bodies inside.


Round 2
Develop red serum 2.0

You will earn this trophy automatically as you progress in the story when you have uploaded a certain file onto the system. This will be earned right after started to upload the training data and you have successfully completed the defending of the Terminal. See the picture below for more information.


Not a killer
Choose not to shut down all cryostasis pods.

See Shutdown() for more information. When you have done the first scene of destroying one cryostats pod and then defeated some of the dark monster ghosts and the yellow glowing balls, you will be back to the scene where you will see the cryostats pods again. Instead of continuing to destroy the cryostats pods, you can go to the second or third ring walkway and just move around and wait for your hack percentage to increase to 100%. This will trigger this trophy which will lead to an ending of the game.


Gone Virtual
Complete one simulation.

From the Main Menu>Simulations, complete any of the listed simulations, and as soon as you do you will earn this trophy no matter the ranking.


No MORE
Shutdown all cryostats pods.

See Shutdown() for more information. You will need to keep destroying all cryostats pods until you no longer need to and you have interacted with the console panel in the middle of the room.


Just Cause?
Find survivor’s message in dinning hall.

In the dinning hall which is a large room, go the left area where the counters are and there are doors that lead to the back kitchen area. There will be a small locked room that you may need to destroy the enemies that are outside in the large dinning hall so that you can open the door. Once you can open the door, there will be a cut scene that occurs and you will earn this trophy.


Tactical Hack
Hack a device.

This is story related. The first time that you hack a device (Sprinkler), this hack will cause an enemy to be defeated and you will earn this trophy.
