Welcome to the trophy guide for DreadOut Remastered Collection. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4/5 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Complete DreadOut twice.


Welcome to the trophy guide for the game “DreadOut Remastered Collection”, a game by Digital Happiness and published by Soft Source. This horror game is about solving mysteries, defeating ghosts and escaping alive in the end.

DreadOut contains many missable trophies, which is why a watchful eye is important. The main game consists of three acts and requires at least 2 runs. In the first run, all assistance is activated and then not in the second. The first run serves as a 100% run, as it is necessary to complete the Ghostpedia (“Book of the Dead“), as well as collect all items in act 1 (“Power up“) and articles (“Tomb Reader“).

First playthrough:

Act 0:
There is nothing to consider in this act.
Act 1:
There is a lot to consider in Act 1. All items, all articles and all ghosts must be added to the Ghostpedia. As soon as the act starts, take a photo of Shakira, the girl to the left of the car for the “BFF” trophy. Then it’s off to a small village, where you collect all the items and items. When you enter the school grounds, it will be night, but don’t go to school yet, but run back to the monument near the school and take a photo of UFOs there after defeating the two ghosts there. See “They come in peace“. Run back towards the car to defeat more ghosts. Two are at the city gate (“Ghost Rider“) and one on the small stretch to the car (“Attack on Titan“). As soon as you enter the school, there is nothing big to consider except for the ghosts and the articles. After meeting the pig for the first time, you will meet Sundel Bolong a short time later. Defeat her and then take a picture of her in the nearby Cafeteria (“Stay hungry“). At the top you will find a cat, take a picture of it too (“#cat #cute #funny #lol“). After the final fight against the Lady in Red, don’t leave the school yet! Go right into the corridor through the iron lattice door and in the 2nd room on the left you will find Betsy, a cuddly toy who would also like to be photographed. “Betsy & Friends
Act 2:
In Act 2, all articles, as well as Ghostpedia entries, must still be collected. After you have solved the graveyard puzzle, see “Rest in Pieces“, you go into a boss fight. In the first phase, he will spawn a lot of Pocong. Try to get as many as possible in one picture for the “We’re a Happy Family” trophy. After the boss is virtually defeated, he will try to crush you in his hand. Press all buttons to prevent this. Do the whole thing 5 times and then press nothing more for the “Let it Go!” trophy. After the boss, walk a bit along the path and take a picture of the crying ghost on the left and collect the letter. Once you reach the house where your friend and the teacher are hiding, listen to the teacher until the end (“Stay Awhile and Listen“). Follow the Ira, the girl outside, but not yet into the house where she runs in. At the 2nd house on the left there is a crying ghost, take a picture of it and collect the letter. Walk past the house where Ira walked in and you’ll see a truck. Go there and photograph the weeping spirit and take the letter to yourself. As soon as you want to go back, an event for the trophy “Sweet Child O Mine” will be triggered. Now enter the house where Ira ran in and talk to her. In the course of the conversation, she will ask for a number. Select the option that you know the number of course and enter the following number: 623 732 3688. This will unlock the “Call Me Maybe” trophy. Once you arrive at the Mansion, you will meet an invisible ghost in the dining room. He throws all kinds of things, including cats. Let the cat hit you for the trophy “Cat Attack!“. The last trophy that can be missed is “Wrong Turn“. To do this, you have to leave the school grounds after “talking” with the Lady in Red. Then reload your last save after the credits, but this time go into the school and defeat the Lady in Red.

Second playthrough:

In the second round, all items, articles and optional ghosts can be left behind. Before you start a new game, turn off all the help in the experience settings and rush through all three chapters. Keep in mind that you have NOT die for the “YOLO!” trophy in Act 1.

Stage 2 – Complete DreadOut: Keepers of The Dark.


This phase is about the second title in the collection: Keepers of the Dark. The aim here is to banish all ghosts. It’s a bit like a boss rush, you go from door to door and banish the ghosts. However, there are two ghosts here that need a little more attention than the others, at least as far as trophies are concerned. In room 106 there are two keepers who must not be defeated just like that.

The first is the Ceramic Woman, the one who needs to photograph only her and not her dolls, otherwise you won’t get the trophy “Sharpshooter“. The other is the Susuk Lady. She may only be defeated with a maximum of 10 needles, no more. For the exact locations of these needles, look at the trophy “Pinned Down“. These needles make the fight easier. Otherwise, banish all ghosts in the game and end it.

As soon as the game starts, you wake up in Limbo (the afterlife) and there are flashbacks from Linda’s past behind the candles, as well as to the right of the portal. Check out all of them for the “Astral Showreel” trophy. Start with the flashback to the right of the portal and work your way to the back.

Sharpshooter
Defeat ‘Ceramic Woman’ without damaging her decoys

DreadOut: Keepers of the DarkRoom 106

You can find the Ceramic Woman in Room 106. Photograph ONLY the real Ceramic Woman, not her imitators. She is easily recognizable by her black, cracked face and limbs. When taking pictures, make sure that there is NO other mannequin to be seen besides her.


My Way or The Highway
Playing DreadOut without any clues

DreadOut:

Play through DreadOut without having any help mechanics enabled. To do this, go to System, Settings, experience settings and turn off all options there before starting a new game.

Finished the game without entering Limbo in Act 1

DreadOut – Act 1:

For this trophy, it is necessary not to die in the first act.

Pinned Down
Defeat ‘Susuk Lady’ with 10 ‘Susuk Needles’ or less

DreadOut: Keepers of the DarkRoom 106

The Susuk Lady may only be defeated with a maximum of 10 Susuk Needles. The needles are scattered throughout the game, so make sure you don’t collect more than 10 of them. The more needles you have, the easier the fight against the lady will be. Here is a list of the locations where the needles were found (14 in total):

  1. Room 102 (Village Outskirts): Bungalow porch, behind a fallen tree.
  2. Room 103 (Graveyard): Shrine in the second clearing (counterclockwise). Shrine and exit mirror in the third clearing (counterclockwise).
  3. Room 104 (Colonial Sewer): End of a sewer tunnel (towards Nine Tails’ den).
  4. Room 105 (Deserted Suburbia): In the living room of the large villa (Haunting of Child’s hide-and-seek with Linda). Five needles as a gift from Haunting of Child for playing hide-and-seek.
  5. Room 106 (Haunted School): Main hall, by the left stairwell. First floor wing, on a desk in a mannequin room. Second floor room (blood and gore), held by a dismembered hand.
  6. Room 107 (Abandoned Village): Back of a truck, by the exit mirror.

Banish all ghosts in Keepers of the Dark. Go from door to door and defeat the ghosts that live there.

DreadOut – Act 1:

After the red lady is defeated in Act 1, don’t leave school yet. Seen from the large door, with a view into the school, go to the right through the lattice door and from there into the second door on the left. There are 3 cuddly toys sitting there, take a photo of them.


Book of the Dead
Collected all ghost pictures

DreadOut – Act 1 & 2:

It is necessary to document all ghosts in the game. Usually, it is enough to photograph the ghosts until they die. But there are some where you have to die or something like that.

Act 1:

  • Pocong Warrior – Get all 3 Soldier medals in the town and go back to the Monument after triggering the night at the schoolyard. Beat him or get hitted by him.
  • Pocong on a motorcycle – Get all 3 Soldier medals in the town, aswell the special item Keris and go back to the beginning of the city, after triggering the night at the schoolyard. There he will drive on his motorcycle. Take a photo of him. Don’t worry if you missed him, he’ll come back.
  • Kuntilanak – Get all 3 Soldier medals in the town, as well as the special item Keris and go back to the beginning of the city, after triggering the night at the schoolyard. She’ll sit at the town gate and be waiting for you.
  • Genderuwo – After triggering the night at the schoolyard, go back to the start of this act, where you was with the car. On your way you’ll meet him, he isn’t missable. Take a photo of him and touch his hand.
  • Babi Ngepet – After entering the school, go along the only accessible corridor. At the end is a Pig, take Photos of him, until he runs away.
  • Sundel Bolong – Follow the path further to the pig and you will come to a narrow corridor. The ghost is there, take pictures of him until he is dead.
  • Sewurupa – Collect the “Strange Flyer” in room 12 in school and he’ll attack you from behind.
  • Scissor Phantom – Story related. Run through the small room without your phone and pick it to take a photo when you see her. Repeat this, until she’s dead.
  • Demit Lorong – After defeating the Scissor Phantom, you’ll get a key from the piggy. After obtaining this key, you’ll be in never ending corridor and this ghost will hunt you. Let him catch you.
  • Mysterious Lady in Red – Story related. To beat her, you need to run 3 times to the exit door.

Act 2:

  • Tuyul – Story related. Try to kill them by taking photos, but they will steal your phone. Afterwards there is the entry.
  • Possessed Doni – Story related.
  • Tuyul Centeng – Story related. After obtaining the camera, beat him.
  • Pocong Radja – Story related. During the graveyard Bossfight.
  • Pocong – Story related. During the graveyard Bossfight.
  • Matianak – Collect all 3 articles in Act 2. See “Tomb Reader” for the locations.
  • Palasik – After receiving the key from Ira, leave the house and a few meters further, you will see three ghosts, the Palasiks. Defeat at least one of them.
  • Gundul Pringis – As you climb the stairs to the Mansion, heads will roll towards you. Take a picture of everyone until a small cutscene appears.
  • Jurig Pengantin – These 2 ghosts are in the mansion, in the room with the 3 mirrors. Take pictures of the small mirrors on the left side often enough until the ghosts are close enough to photograph them.
  • Second Sister – Story related.

Call Me Maybe
Dial the correct number

DreadOut – Act 2:

You can make a note of Ira’s phone number in Act 0: 623 732 3688. Later in Act 2, you will meet a possessed Ira. If she asks you for her number, choose “Of course I remember” and enter the phone number.

Don’t choose the option “Stupid doll” during the conversation, this will make this trophy unobtainable.


Cat Attack!
It’s a cute way to die

DreadOut – Act 2:

In the Mansion you will meet an invisible ghost who throws all kinds of things at you. Just walk around the room and as soon as you hear a cat meowing, stop. Let her meet you.


Take It Easy
Playing DreadOut with convenience

DreadOut:

Finish DreadOut while all in-game assistance is enabled. To do this, go to System, Settings, experience settings and activate everything there.


Stay Awhile and Listen
After you found Shelly and Siska, interact and hear Miss Siska conversation till the end.

DreadOut – Act 2:

After you find Shelly and your teacher, Siska, talk to them and listen until the end.


Are we dead yet?
Entered Limbo

DreadOut – Any Act:

This can be done in any act, but keep in mind that Act 1 must be completed without visiting Limbo for the trophy “YOLO!“. Just die. Easily to do in Act 0 after entering the house after the hidden path at the beginning. Follow the girl, scan her with your phone in a small room and you’re dead.

DreadOut:

Just hold L1 to run faster and after about 5 minutes of running, you will get this trophy as a reward. These do not have to be run in one go.


Power up

Dreadout – Act 1:

In act 1 there are special items to collect. These can be found in the following places:

  • Keris – You’ll find it in the town behind the Restaurant on the left side. There’s a stone with a golden item in it.
  • Soldier medal #1 – Once you arrive in the city, turn right into the penultimate house.
  • Soldier medal #2 – Opposite the restaurant is a gas station, there you will find this medal.
  • Soldier medal #3 – After the gas station, the road splits and in the middle is a small park with a monument. At the monument is the medal.
  • Jenglot – You’ll find it inside the school. Go into the classroom Kelas 1E at the second floor left-wing.
  • Ring – You’ll find it near the locked door which leads into the hallway of the school in the second left-wing floor. It’s behind the skeleton.

Rest in Pieces
Solved graveyard puzzle

DreadOut – Act 2:

As soon as you arrive at the women in red dresses in Act 2, keep to the right and go through a small passageway, there you will find the item Keris and a statue with a candle. Take a photo of the candle. Go out again and keep to the right until you see large green leaves. Remove them with a flash from the camera. At the end of the path there is a statue with a candle further back, zoom in on the candle with the camera and take a photo. Go back and keep to the right, walk past the 3 women and then through the passage. There you will also find a statue with a candle, but you have to take a picture of the other statue and the snake beforehand so that the candle burns. If it was correct, a mini cutscene will come. Then take a photo of the burning candle and walk back to the 3 women you saw just before. Take a photo of the 3 burning candles here.

As soon as you have triggered the night in the schoolyard, walk all the way back to the beginning, where you stood with the others in the red car. Shortly before the car, he blocks the way. Take a picture of him.

DreadOut – Act 2:

After the graveyard puzzle, there is a boss fight that squeezes you into his hand at the end. While you’re doing this, press any buttons to make him let you go. After the 5th time, nothing presses during this. If you don’t press anything the first time, you won’t get this trophy.

Relatively at the beginning of this act, you enter a school grounds. As soon as night has fallen, however, do not leave the school building, but leave the grounds again. Look up at the sky and look for three stars forming a triangle. Take a picture of it.


Tomb Reader
Collected all articles

DreadOut act 1 & 2:

In acts 1 and 2 there are different articles to be found. These are hidden in the following places:

Act 1:

  • Mystery Journal 1 – It’s inside the Restaurant of the town.
  • Classroom Executions – Seen from the monument, walk past it on the right towards the school. There are 2 water bowls and in the right one is this article.
  • Mystery Journal 2 – Once you’re at school, walk down the only corridor and then up the stairs. Now go around to the right into the third door on the right. The room is called “KELAS 1C”.
  • Residential Estate Inferno – After defeating Sundel Bolong, continue down the narrow path to the first door on the left with a broken sign.
  • Gruesome Note – Near the cat on the upper floor, there is a door with many tendrils. Go through the door and that’s where the note hangs.
  • School Struck by Mass Possession – This flyer is on the ground floor near the stairs in room “2 SOSIAL 1”.
  • Strange Flyer – From the Cafeteria, go back to the stairs and check the room “2 FISIKAI” out.
  • Mystery Journal 3 – From the previous Flyer leave the room, turn right and go into the second door to the right. It’s called “3 BIOLOGI I”.
  • Jenglot Flyer – From the mainhall, go into the left corridor where the piggy was and walk past the stairs. Go to the second room on the left.
  • Music Festival Flyer – From the previous Flyer leave the room, turn left and go to the end of this corridor.

Act 2:

  • Infant Grave Deseractions – After the boss fight in the graveyard and the Lady in Red, you walk along a path. There’s a crying ghost, take a picture of it and you can collect the article.
  • Missing Babies – As you run after the girl, go to the second house on the left. There’s a ghost there that you have to photograph to make it drop the article.
  • Terrified Mother – Once the girl has run into the house, DO NOT go after her. Walk a little further and you will see a truck. Photograph the ghost there and collect the article.

Tomb Riddler

Story related. You’ll get this trophy after completing the school in act 1.

Story related. This trophy will be unlocked after defeating the second sister.

Story related. This is the first boss in the first act. To defeat him, take a picture of him and put the camera away and walk around the room while keeping your eyes looking for the ghost. When you see him again, pull out the camera for the next photo. Repeat this until he is dead. Walking around with the camera all the time doesn’t work.

For this trophy, you have to take a photo of the ghost in the first act. As soon as you wake up and leave the house, a ghost haunts you that can only be seen with the cell phone camera. Wait until the ghost is close to you and then take a picture.


Ghost Rider

DreadOut – Act 1:

Once you have entered the city in Act 1, you have to find 3 soldier medals and the special item Keris.

  1. The first Soldier medal is in the last house on the right side of the street.
  2. Keris is behind the Restaurant on the left.
  3. The second Soldier medal is across the street from the restaurant at the gas station.
  4. The third medal is on a monument in a small park.

Once all the items have been collected and entered the school grounds so that night falls, you have to walk back to the beginning of the city, where the town gate is. Pull out your mobile phone and wait for the motorcyclist who is driving up and down on the right side (with a view of the city) and take a picture of him.

Story related. This trophy will be unlocked after you complete the first “puzzle” in the school in act 1. You have to take a photo of the broken beams on the first floor of the school. Then you can see corpses in the photo.
