Welcome to the trophy guide for Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4/5 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? is a charmingly humorous quiz game based on the popular TV franchise. Multiple-choice questions, true-or-false challenges, and minigames will test your proficiency in 24 different subjects. Faced with a tough question, you can always rely on your classmates for help.
Stage 1 – Play Exam Mode.
You will need to:
A. Use one avatar (who you will pick to be the A+ Student) to complete 10 perfect games in Exam Mode using the 3 cheats. It’s recommended to turn off sync Save Data and to use Cloud Save your game after successfully completing each game of Exam Mode. You will need to get all 11 questions correct per Exam Mode game. If you get a question wrong then redownload your Cloud Save and continue this process. Press “Circle” to access the Cheat Menu. You will need to use the cheats in the following order for each game:
1. The first Grade 1 question use “X” for “Ask the Class Cheat”.
2. The second Grade 1 question use “Square” for “Copy Cheat”.
3. The first Grade 2 question use “Triangle” for “New Question Cheat”.
Do not use the L1 or R1 during any of these games as this may nullify you earning the “Reference Checker” at the end of each game.
B. Using a different avatar you will need to play Exam Mode and get the first question wrong.
C. Repeatedly press L3 a few times during any game to make your Bobblehead wiggle.
Stage 2 – Play Study Mode.
You will need to:
A. Play one Study Mode game with only one avatar.
B. Play Study Mode with the maximum 8 avatars. Playing games this way will earn you the most experience called “Apple Points” to quickly unlock all the classmates, icons, question categories, grade levels, alternate outfits for the classmates, and all desk-related items. If you do not use any cheats for any of your players, you will more than likely earn “Independent Student” at the end of each game. However, if you find you are not then play Study Mode with only one avatar.
By the time you have unlocked the first Grade 5 set, you should have earned all 8 of the Prodigy Medals. Make sure that you vary each game to pick the different subject areas so that you cover all of them.

“A+” Student
Get an overall grade of A+ with one avatar that has answered over 100 questions.
Use one avatar to complete 10 perfect games in Exam Mode. It’s recommended to turn off sync Save Data and to use Cloud Save your game after successfully completing each game of Exam Mode. You will need to get all 11 questions correct per Exam Mode game. If you get a question wrong then redownload your Cloud Save and continue this process.
From the Main Menu>Extra>Report Card and then click on whichever avatar user and you can see the details about this player profile.
“A” Student
Get an overall grade of A or higher with one avatar that has answered over 100 questions.
Refer to the “A+” Student trophy description.
Graduated
Reach 6th Grade in the Permanent Record.
You will first need to unlock all of the Grade 5 sets (225000 Apple Points). It is recommended that you complete at least 10 Exam Mode games giving you 62500 Apple Points. During the Exam Mode games, you will be focusing on earning the “Librarian trophy”. You will be able to complete the rest of your games using Study Mode with a maximum of 8 avatars. These games will earn you about 12000 – 19000 per game. You will need to complete about 10 – 14 of these sessions. In total, you will reach the goal of 225000 Apple Points or more after using this strategy. See the picture below.
5th Grade
Reach 5th Grade in the Permanent Record.
You will first need to unlock all of the Grade 4 sets. As soon as you unlock the first set of Grade 5 sets (187500 Apple Points) as displayed in the Permanent Record that you can access from the Main Menu. See the picture below.
4th Grade
Reach 4th Grade in the Permanent Record.
You will first need to unlock all of the Grade 3 sets. As soon as you unlock the first set of Grade 4 sets (142500 Apple Points) as displayed in the Permanent Record that you can access from the Main Menu. See picture below.
Prodigy of all Trades
Get all 8 Stage “Prodigy” Medals. (Does not have to be in one single avatar)
You will need to unlock at least the first set of Grade 5 in your Permanent Record. There are specific subjects that if you answer questions from these and get them correct, then you will unlock the Prodigy Medal during the end game screen. Make sure to vary the subjects you pick so that you will eventually earn all of these medals. See pictures below.
The Prodigy Medals are:
1. Math.
2. Life Sciences.
3. Humanities.
4. Physical Sciences.
5. English.
6. Arts.
7. History.
8. Geography.
These can be earned over multiple games (Exam and Study Mode) and from any combination of avatars that you have used.
Self-Sufficient
Get “Independent Student” at the end of a game session 10 times. (Does not have to be in one single avatar).
Playing any game mode, you only need to make sure that you do not use any of the cheats for the game. Also, do not use the L1 (Ask the student) or R1 (Repeat the question) during these games as it may prevent you from earning it. You should automatically earn at least one player getting an “Independent Student” badge at the end of a game session. Get 10 of the “Independent Student” badges to earn this trophy.
In The Honor Roll
Beat “Exam” Mode without using any cheats.
Play an Exam Mode game without using any cheats during the game. You must correctly answer all 11 questions in the game to earn this trophy.
Full House
Play “Study” Mode with the maximum number of 8 players.
Play a game of Study Mode where you choose to have 8 avatars playing during the game.
Librarian
Get “Reference Checker” at the end of a game session 10 times. (Does not have to be in one single avatar)
It is recommended to complete these games in Exam Mode or Study Mode (1 avatar only) using the 3 cheats. You only have 3 cheats to use per game. Press “Circle” to access the Cheat Menu. You will need to use the cheats in the following order for each game:
1. The first Grade 1 question use “X” for “Ask the Class Cheat”.
2. The second Grade 1 question use “Square” for “Copy Cheat”.
3. The first Grade 2 question use “Triangle” for “New Question Cheat”.
Do not use the L1 (Ask the student) or R1 (Repeat the question) during any of these games, as this may nullify you earning the “Reference Checker” at the end of each game.
Byoing
Get “Head Bobbler” at the end of a game session.
During any game, press L3 to make your Bobblehead wiggle a few times. You will earn this trophy at the end of the game session.
Unlucky
Get “Unlucky” at the end of a game session.
Play an Exam Mode game and answer the first question incorrectly. You will lose the game and earn this trophy.
Smarter than a 5th Grader
Beat “Exam” Mode.
Play an Exam Mode game and complete it by answering all 11 questions correctly to earn this trophy.
3rd Grade
Reach 3rd Grade in the Permanent Record.
You will first need to unlock all of the Grade 2 sets. As soon as you unlock the first set of Grade 3 sets (97500 Apple Points) as displayed in the Permanent Record that you can access from the Main Menu. See the picture below.
2nd Grade
Reach 2nd Grade in the Permanent Record.
You will first need to unlock all of the Grade 1 sets. As soon as you unlock the first set of Grade 2 set (52500 Apple Points) as displayed in the Permanent Record that you can access from the Main Menu. See the picture below.
1st Grade
Reach 1st Grade in the Permanent Record.
The first time you play the game you will begin in Kindergarten questions, and you will need to progress through the game some by earning Apple Points. Apple Points are experience points that unlock more content to the game. As soon as you unlock the first set of Grade 1 sets (7500 Apple Points) as displayed in the Permanent Record that you can access from the Main Menu. See pictures below.
Exam Time
Play “Exam” Mode.
Play a game of Exam Mode for the first time.
Exam Practice
Play “Study” Mode with exactly 1 player.
Play a game of Study Mode with only 1 player.
Study Session
Play “Study” Mode with more than 1 player.
Play a game of Study Mode with more than 1 player.
