Welcome to the trophy guide for A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4/5 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Play the Game Earning all Collectibles.


Play on Easy or Medium difficulty and focus on earning all collectibles along the way. There is no chapter select and there is no in game references to show which Shuttles you have collected. During this play through you will earn the majority of trophies and learn the maps, the mechanics of the game, what to avoid and what to do so that you can successfully move through a level without ever getting caught by the monsters. If you die, you will respawn in the game at the latest checkpoint in the game. For the Collectibles (Documents, Mix Tapes, and Toys (Shuttles)) it is highly recommended to use a video guide on Youtube as there are 213 Collectibles in the game.

Stage 2 – Play on Hard difficulty through the Game.


Play on Hard difficulty and focus on only moving as quickly as possible to get through a level. You can also focus on earning the time related trophies for certain areas of different levels during this play through. However, if you have not earned the time related trophies by the end of this playthrough, you will need to replay the game on any difficulty you choose to earn these trophies. If you die, you will respawn in the game at the latest checkpoint in the game.

A Quiet Place
Unlock all others trophies.

Congratulations on your shiny new platinum!


An Arduous Journey
Finish game on Hard difficulty.

You will need to play the entire game on Hard difficulty. During this play through you should only have to focus on getting through each level. Use your phonometer as much as possible to make sure that you are staying quieter than the surrounding environmental noises.


The Fire Station
Get on the boat and escape.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Fire Station level.


A Fast Swim
After activating the sprinklers, leave the pool in “The Fire Station” in less than 7:00 minutes.

During the level of The Fire Station, when you are In the room where you need to turn the water valves and activate the water sprinklers, you will need to turn the first 3 valves and the water level will drop. The timer will start immediately after turning the 3rd valve. You can go up the ramp and around to go down and back up a set of ladder. You will then climb over the barricade and then turn the final valve to activate the sprinklers. There are bricks around to throw to distract the monster away from your location. You should not turn on the lights in the pool area and instead go down the ladder and follow the path to come to a plank that you can use. Take the plank and go up the ramp and to the right and then place the plank and walk up it. Collect the plank and then go and try to cross the ramp to the left. This ramp will fall and you will need to pick up the plank again. Continue straight ahead towards the platform that had the 3rd valve on it. Put the plank down and walk across it and collect it again. Then go down the ramp to the left and place the plank down and go up towards the boat. Pick up the plank against the boat and then place it to the left. Go across the plank and then through the fence gate and up the stairs and then proceed to the exit. The trophy will be earned immediately as you go through the exit door. You will earn this trophy if your time is less than 7:00 minutes. If you do not earn the trophy then Load an autosave from before the sprinklers where you are at the 3rd valve or before it. Repeat the steps again as needed.


A Quick Breath
Reach the Boat in “The Fire Station” in less than 2:15 minutes.

After you have completed A Fast Swim, you will head back to the safe room. When you are done in the safe room you will exit and then there will be an area where you will need to use Fuses to get out of the fenced in areas until you eventually turn the light green so that you can exit this area. The counter will start as soon as you exit into the final area. In here you will need to go down the ramp and then over the obstacle. Use bottles that are scattered in this area to distract the monster away from you. You will continue forward to along the edge of the docks and there will be a plank that you can pick up. Take the plank and then walk around to the left and continue until you see a concrete pathway that leads to a lower area. In this area you can place the plank and then walk up it and then drop down and into the boat. This will trigger a cutscene. You will then need to shoot the monster one last time. You will earn this trophy if your time is 2:15 minutes or less. If you did not earn this trophy then you should load an Autosave and choose one that is before being inside the final room.


Assiduous Reader
Collect all the documents scattered along the journey

There are 159 documents scattered throughout the entire game. Most documents are easily spotted as the levels are rather linear. However, some pathways veer off and you should take these to see what collectibles are possibly along them. There are a few more open areas that you will need to crisscross to also check for collectibles. Lastly, some documents, like other collectibles, can be inside of Briefcases. The documents will be tracked in game by using the Touchpad. Refer to the pictures below for the lists of documents to collect from each level of the game. There are many videos that are available on Youtube to help you find all of them easily.


Playlist
Collect all Mix Tapes along the journey.

There are 19 Mix Tapes scattered through the entire game. Most Mix Tapes are easily spotted as the levels are rather linear. However, some pathways veer off and you should take these to see what collectibles are possibly along them. There are a few more open areas that you will need to crisscross to also check for collectibles. Lastly, some Mix Tapes, like other collectibles, can be inside of Briefcases. The Mix Tapes will be tracked in game by using the Touchpad. Refer to the pictures below for the lists of Mix Tapes to collect from each level of the game. There are many videos that are available on Youtube to help you find all of them easily. See Assiduous Reader for more information.


A Dangerous Road
Complete the game on “Medium” or higher.

Play the entire game on Medium or higher difficulty to earn this trophy.


A Peaceful Path
Complete the game on “Easy” or higher.

Play the entire game on Easy or higher difficulty to earn this trophy.


The Harbor
Reach the port.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Harbor level.


Like Wind on the Water
Leave the Shipyard in “The Harbor” in under 2:15 minutes.

During The Harbor after you have completed cranking the boat up in the air to pass underneath, you will head up a ladder and then enter the start of the timed area. You will learn about the ability to throw a throwable at a television/computer screen. As soon as you regain control of your character, throw the bottle at the screens to the left of the monster. Head down the ladder to your right and then go to the left and make another left again so that the screens at on your left. If you need to the distract the monster then throw a bottle or brick at a screen. Head towards the area where you can see that you will need to crawl through that has light shining into this large room. Crawl through an opening and take stairs up on your left. Walk to the right, go under the barrier and then drop down to the ground below. If you do this in under 2:15 minutes you will earn this trophy. If you did not earn this trophy then you will need to Load an autosave from before the tutorial on how to use a throwable against a screen to distract a monster.


Art Critic
Unlock All Concept Art from the Extra Menu.

When you collect Shuttle toys in the game they will award points based on their type: Bronze (15 points), silver (30 points), and gold (50 points). From the Main Menu > Extra > Concept Art, you can use your points to purchase the unlocked Concept Art. You will need to unlock and buy all of the Concept Art to earn this trophy. You do not need to buy the PROS Concept Art for this trophy. See the pictures below for more information.


Patron
Unlock all 3D Model from the Extra Menu.

When you collect Shuttle toys in the game they will award points based on their type: Bronze (30 points), silver (40 points), and gold (50 points). From the Main Menu > Extra > Characters, you can use your points to purchase the unlocked Characters. You will need to unlock and buy all of the Characters to earn this trophy. You do not need to buy the PROS Character for this trophy. See the pictures below for more information.


Code Breaker
Open all Briefcase along the journey.

There are 4 Briefcases to find and open in the game. The codes for the Briefcases are as follows:

1. The Lake House – In small shed opposite the van – 481.
2. The Train Wreck – In a building after a large puddle – 369.
3. The Harbor – On a bench near the picnic area – 629.
4. The Harbor – On a barrel on a rooftop – 347.

There are many videos that are available on Youtube to help you find all of them easily.


Completionist
Collect all toys along the journey

There are 35 Shuttle toys to collect throughout the game. There is no indication of which Shuttles you have collected throughout the game. However, you can see when you are buying either the Characters or the Concept Art, how many credits you have earned or still need to buy all of these items. You do not need to buy the PROS items that is at the end of both the Characters and the Concept Art. There are many videos that are available on Youtube to help you find all of them easily.


In and Out in a Second
Turn the power back on and leave the warehouse in “The Harbor” in under 3:15 minutes

During The Harbor, you will drop down into an alleyway where the Tech Store is to your right and the warehouse is directly in front of you. You will need to go to your right past the Tech Store to pick up a brick. Then walk the alleyway back and around the corner to the right. Throw the brick at the window to break it and then climb up into the warehouse. As soon as you drop down to ground a timer will start for this area. You will need to use throwables in the room to distract the monster while you head along the perimeter of the warehouse while going around lots of shelves. Head to the opposite side of where you entered the warehouse, there will be a ladder that is near the large puddles in the far side of the warehouse. After going up the ladder you will need to head go to the left and in the back corner there is the electric panel to turn the power back on in the Tech Store. Head back the way you came and down the ladder. You will be able to pick up and pour sand (Sandbag) and go towards the left to find 3 barrels that are blocking the exit door. Move the 3 barrels and then open the door to exit. You will earn this trophy if you are under 3:15 minutes. If you did not earn this trophy then you will need to load an autosave from before the climbing through the window you broke.


A Lightning between the Valves
Deactivate the pumps and reach the sewers in “The Pump Station” in under 7:00 minutes.

During The Pump Station, you will enter a hallway where you will need to turn off the water valve and then move through the shallow pool of water. As you try to walk through the shallow pool, the monster will start to approach you so you will need to go back and hide in the water that is pouring out of the pipe. After the monster has past you will need to go through the shallow pool of water and then go to the left and into Room B. Go through the shallow pool of water and then drop down into the next pool of water. Walk through the water and take a ladder up and then go around to the left to go up a step of stairs. Follow the catwalk and through the shimmy area to find a valve to pick up. Continue to follow the catwalk forwards and then take the stairs down and go to the left to open the fence door. You will need to drop and then pick up the valve again before you go through the open door. Go around to the right past the pool of water and to the yellow pipe against the wall. Place and turn the valve. Next you will go to left (from facing the valve you just turned) and around to the right and walk the hallway. Shimmy through the near area and continue to the next Room A. Go into the water and to the left to take the stairway and follow along it to the back wall where the valve is on the wall. Turn the valve and then go to the right (from facing the valve) and then drop down and back into the water. Then take the stairways to go up and around to the left. Continue forwards and then take the ladder and then crouch to enter the narrow passageway. If you complete this in under 7:00 minutes you will earn this trophy. If you did not earn this trophy then you will need to Load an autosave from before the turning of the first valve in the hallway before Room A and B.


Fast as a Train
Cross the train over the bridge in “The Train Wreck” in under 6:30 minutes

During The Train Wreck, you will drop down onto a broken train car. This will be the start of this timed area. You will drop down through the open window and then follow the path to the right into the next car. Go to the end and through the closed door on the right. In these open areas you can pick up and pour sand from the Sandbags to help reduce the amount of noise that you make. You will need to cross this area and go up the wooden ramp into another train car. Go to the left and over the obstacle and exit into another open area. Use any bottles to distract the monster as needed throughout this area. Go around to the left and pick up a Sandbag. Pour the sand along the left side as you walk towards the next wooden ramp into another train car. Continue forward and go into the train car to the left by jumping over the obstacle. Go up and down again and then through the open window on the floor. You will then follow the beam pathway around to the right and right again to come up into the same train car. Climb up to the roof area and walk along to see a Key that you can pick up. Next drop down twice to your right and walk along the sand path that you made earlier. When you are inside the train car where there was a left or right choice, this time you will use the Key on the right train car and then shimmy through the area ahead to finish this timed area. If you completed this in under 6:30 minutes you will earn this trophy. If you did not earn the trophy then you will need to load an autosave from before the area where you drop down onto the first train car.


Disappear among the Caravans
Leave the parking lot at “The Campsite” in less than 7:00 minutes.

During The Campsite after you have completed the radio tower and you have made it back to outside of the radio station where you first met your father during this level, you will need to climb up and over the RV that is to the right of the radio station. As soon as you drop down this will be the start of the timer. You will need to distract the monster using the bottles and bricks that are scattered in this area. You will need to avoid all the traps and you will be disarming the traps with the ropes. You will head up and around the left of this area and around to the small cabin on the left. Go around it and climb up through the open window. Next you can collect the Key to open the door to the cabin, but there’s a chance that the monster breaks through the wall making the Key unnecessary. Pick up the Ladder and then walk through the unlocked door or opening. Go straight and around the tree and drop the ladder between the RV and the obstacles as you will need to disarm the rope trap. Crawl through the opening to the right and then around to your left you can disarm the rope trap. Then head back and pick up the Ladder and go straight ahead and to your left you can see on the large wooden wall there is an area to attach the Ladder. After attaching it go up and then down into the next area. From here proceed to the opening that you can see to shimmy through to finish this timed area. There will be a cutscene where you will close a door and you will then earn this trophy if you did it in less than 7:00 minutes. If you did not earn this trophy then you will need to load an autosave that is from before entering this area of The Campsite and try again.


A Jump from the Window
Collect the Plank and leave the garden of the house in “The Forest” in under 3:30 minutes.

During The Forest, you will exit the safe area and then go to your right and up the stairs. Follow the hallway around and at the end there will be a window that you can jump out of. There will be a cutscene. Go to the left and you can collect and throw a brick to distract the monster away from you. Continue going to your left and then go right so that you go behind the bear statue. Go all the way to the fence and then use a brick to break the window on the small shed. The monster will break the wall of the cabin and you will need to use a brick to distract it away from this area after it is back to normal roaming/hunting. Go into the cabin and collect the plank. You can then place the plank down and through a brick to continue to distract the monster as you go around the large water puddles to the left. You will need to place the plank so that you can cross the stream and reach the building on the other side. Once across, go to the right and climb up the obstacles, then drop down and follow the pathway. Once you have started to get near or around the bend to the right, you will earn this trophy if your time was under 3:30 minutes. If you did not earn this trophy then load an autosave that is from before leaving the safe room.


Projecting
Look at all the children’s drawings in the basement of the ranch.

During The Ranch when you go into the safe room that is in the basement, you will be going around lighting all the red candles. While you are lighting them there will be documents (children’s drawings) scattered around the area. Interact with each one of these documents to earn this trophy.


Over There
Break 25 Bottles.

There are bottles scattered through out the various levels within the game. You will need to throw and break at least 25 bottles to earn this trophy.


Lighting
Light all the candles in the hospital chapel.

When you are exploring the hospital, on the first level there will be a chapel at the end of a hallway. Go inside and light the 2 candles on the alter and each of the other 4 candles that are in the corners of the room.


Remembering
Throw a bottle at each of the 4 large animal statues in the garden of the forest house.

During the Forest level you will eventually be in a safe area within a house. You will make your way upstairs to eventually exit through the upstairs window. After the cutscene you will be in the area that has the 4 large animal statues. You will need to find, throw, and break at least 1 bottle on each one of the 4 large animal statues that are in the garden area.


Resolving
Find the combination to open the briefcase in The Lake

During The Lake there is a small shed that has a briefcase on a table inside. There is a note with a riddle and 3 photos showing the important areas where the combination numbers are located. Also, each photo will have a date on it so that you know to put the numbers you find in chronologic order. There is a 4 on a post on the dock (photo 2008), 8 on a swing seat (photo 2009), and 1 on a wooden bench (photo 2010). Therefore the briefcase code is 481. Open the briefcase to earn this trophy.


Ordering
Drop the 2 buckets from the porch in The Campsite.

During The Campsite after you have come back down from the radio tower you will go along a pathway and crawled under an area. When you come to where the pathway divides, go towards the building with the wood framing roof that is overhanging a picnic table area. There will be bricks available in the building area that you can use to throw at the 2 buckets that are up on the wood framing roof. The 2 buckets are diagonally across from each other. Hit each one down to earn this trophy.


Chasing Away
Scare away all the flocks of birds in The Train Wreck.

During The Train Wreck after you have emerged from the cave/tunnel area and you drop down into an open area where you will learn how to use the sandbags. There are 9 flocks that you will need to scare.

In this first area there 5 flocks of birds that you need to scare. The 1st flock is to the left from where you dropped down and you will need to throw at a bottle at them to scare them. The 2nd flock is to the roof of the building that is close to the first flock. Walk into this building to scare them. The 3rd flock will be in the middle area along the side closest that you dropped down from. The 4th flock is past the last flock to the right. Finally the 5th flock is near the box that you need to move to be able to go under the fence to get to the next building.

While going under the second building, when you come out you will automatically scare the 6th flock. Climb into the building, exist and get the plank along the right pathway and then comeback and use it to go towards the third building. As you walk into this building you will automatically scare the 7th flock that is on the roof. Next follow that pathway where you got the plank and go right, through the water and towards the fourth building. You will be able to walk and scare the 8th flock as you approach this building.

Finally, go back through the water and continue straight and follow the pathway along the fence into the cave and continue out until you are in the open area that is covered in dirt and water. The 9th flock of birds will be towards the center of this area.


Hitting
Complete The Chase level without ever dying.

After you go through the area where you had to walk through a stream area and then went up 2 sets of ladders, there will be a cut scene where the one ladder will fall and alert the monsters. This is the beginning of The Chase level. You will need to run around the obstacles, under a fence and then head towards the window while not getting caught. The next part will involve you using a shotgun to shoot the claws of the monsters as they attack the van you are in. Reload after you hit a monster off the van so that you are ready for the next one. You will repeat this process until you finish this level. If you do not earn this trophy, you can load an autosave that is listed in your saves.


Attentioning
Find the Harbor door combination on the first try.

During The Harbor you will get to the safe house, and to the exit it there is a calendar in the other room that has the code of 615. Put the code in correctly the first time to earn this trophy.


Changing
Have the Monster destroy 3 Screens (over the Tutorial ones) in the Harbor in the same attempt

During the Harbor after you have learned how to throw a bottle/brick at a screen to get the monster to attack and destroy a screen, you can go down the ladder to find many screen in this area. There will also be lots of bricks that you can throw at the screens so that the monster destroys them. After a monster destroys one screen wait a few seconds so that you know that it is back on its regular hunting mode before you throw a brick at another screen. Once that second screen is destroyed repeat this for a third screen to finally earn this trophy.


A Run through the Bushes
Passes the area where Mark died in “The Forest” in less than 1:45 minutes.

During The Forest, you will drop down a ledge and there will be a short cutscene where you will hide behind a rock and the monster will be walking around close by. It will be noted in the game that this is the area where Mark died. You should go to the left, following the fence and drop down a level. Then continue to follow the fence on your left as you go forward and then take a left and head towards the light. The next drop down will be located beside this light and this will be the finish line. You will earn this trophy if you can get through this area in less than 1:45 minutes. If you did not earn this trophy then you will need to Load an autosave that is before this area and try again.


Combinations with Repetition
Open your first Briefcase.

The first Briefcase is the one that is in The Lake House level. See Resolving for more information. You will need to open all 4 of the Briefcases in the game, but this trophy can be earned for whichever you open your first time.


A Safe Path
Completely empty 20 sandbags.

Once you get to The Train Wreck, you will start to encounter sandbags from this level and beyond. You will need to pick up a Sandbag, start to pour it out by walking around and it must say “Empty”. After it is empty, you can put it down and repeat the process with another Sandbag. This does not need to put completed in one playthrough, however you will need to complete this before your final playthrough is finished.


Casual Reader
Collect all the documents scattered in an area.

You will need to collect all the documents within a level. See Assiduous Reader for more information.


The Ranch
Leave the Ranch.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Ranch level.


The Hospital
Find your way out of the Hospital.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Hospital level.


The Forest
Goes through the Forest.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Forest level.


The Lake
Witness the Arrival.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Lake level.


The Campsite
Reach the road beyond the campsite.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Campsite level.


The Train Wreck
Cross the river through the Train Wreck.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Train Wreck level.


The Road
Survive until the Hospital.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Chase level.


The Pump Station
Find a way out of the Pump Station.

This is story related and is earned by completing The Pump Station level.


Distracted Child
Collect a Toy.

Find and pick up a Shuttle Toy. See Completionist for more information.


Flash in the Dark
Use 15 Flares.

During The Pump Station level, you will be able to collect and use Flares. You only need to lite the Flare and you can either carry, throw, or drop it whenever you like. You will need to use 15 Flares to earn this trophy. This can be earned over multiple playthroughs.


Collector
Collect 10 Toy.

Find and pick up any 10 Shuttle Toys. See Completionist for more information.


Single
Collect a Mix Tape.

Find and pick up a Mix Tape. See Playlist for more information.


Art Lover
Unlock your first Concept Art from the Extra Menu.

From the Main Menu > Extra > Concept Art you will need to unlock and buy your first Concept Art. See Art Critic for more information.


Passionate
Unlock your first 3D Model from the Extra Menu.

From the Main Menu>Extra>Characters you will need to unlock and buy your first Character. See Patron for more information.


Prologue
Find Martin.

This is the first level (Tutorial) of the game where you will learn the basics of the game. This is story related and will be earned automatically upon completing the Prologue.


Too Much Noise
Noisy for the first time.

The first time that you make too much noise it will alter the monster who will seek you out and kill you. You will automatically respawn to the last checkpoint in the game.


Keep the Breath
Successfully resist an Asthma Attack.

As you play through a level, the fast your character moves or the dustier/smokier an area is in the game, your Asthma alter level will go from white to yellow to red. There are even sparks to mean that the level is getting more critical. When you are at red alter level do not use Medicine or an Inhaler. Your screen will start to get a grey/dark fog over it and this will automatically trigger a Quick Time Event where you will need to press R1 within the white ring for this to count as a successful resistance to an Asthma Attack.


Inhale, Exhale
Use 30 Inhalers.

You will need to use Inhalers throughout the game when the Asthma alter level reaches red status. You will earn this trophy after you have used 30 Inhalers.


Seeing
Turn on the lights in The Fire Station pool.

After you have reached the safe room within The Fire Station, you will need to go to the lowest level and into the room where the pool and valves are located. You have to install the Fuse in the panel and then turn the 3 valves to lower the water in the pool. The valves for first and third are located nearby, and will need to be put into place turned. After you have used the 3rd valve, head to the back corner and then turn the final yellow valve. This will trigger the water sprinklers to go off. You will need to go into the next room, and once inside near you will be the lights, flip the switch on and you will able to turn them on for the entire area.
