Stage 1 – Complete Luella’s campaign with S Ranks.
Warborns trophies are almost entirely story related, S Ranking those missions, and a few misc. tasks. All in all not a difficult list, but can be a difficult execution. The above timing and difficulty is reflected from playing on Normal and save exploiting, though you can play on Easy and still achieve the platinum! There is a saving grace in Warborn and that is that you can save at anytime during your turn during battle. So if you’re ever afraid of a strategy, curious of the following turn, made a mistake, not a problem as you can reload the previous turns save. Be warned though, there’s only 1 save file, so you’ll have to constantly overwrite and be sure of it. For example if you make a mid-battle save on a turn that results in your death everytime, then you’ll have to re-do the whole mission. That said, even with the save exploits it can be a real tough nut to crack. Below are the listed strategies employed that earned the Master Tactician trophy.
A note of warning though, enemies in this game do have a set preference for things like fixating on capturing over attacking you if they had the choice. But, the A.I doesn’t have a set determined route based on your turns play. You can reload the save file 10 times and each of those 10 times they’ll employ a different tactic that turn. So because of the enemies choice of variant tactics, there are times that the below strategies won’t have exact response the enemy did, but the gist of the strategy remains and you will only have to slightly alter some details.
Mission 00 Ace
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
Nothing to note about this mission. Luella’s Variable Armour is available once you complete the first objective. She is heavily OP and will kill upwards of 3+ enemies at once with her skills.
Mission 01 Lifeline
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
A fool’s errand would be to leave the city and bring the offense to the enemy, don’t. Keep your Variable Armour’s stationed in the city as the enemies will have to traverse the road towards it, putting them directly in your sight.
Mission 02 Exodus
Current Objective: Capture all enemy Outpost structures or destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
Your main focus in this battle will be to capture the enemies Eionite Refineries stopping their production of units. Do not approach their base as they have an Insight which’ll one-shot your units ruining your S rank. You’ll want to save up 60CP, then deploy your own insight to take theirs out.
Mission 03 Research & Development
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
A particularly difficulty spike will happen in this battle! Insights, enemies with disabling ailments, damage over time ailments, and more. The trick here is to be slow, steady, and cautious. There’s 2 main things you’ll want to focus on with this mission: 1) use Luella’s Deity to take out every insight you can. 2) 2 teams of [Aegis, Havok, Novus]. Your very first turn you’ll use your Aegis’ to give the Havok’s defense boosts. Use the Havok as a tank and decoy. Have your Novus be a ranged attacker. Your Aegis’ will restore HP and debuff’s from your Havok, don’t worry. After this you’ll be able to take out a few Variable Armors making every round progessionally easier.
Mission 04 Initiative
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This mission has the same execution as the last mission, just considerably less going on. There’ll only be 1 Insight which you can leave up to Luella again. As for the rest, the same team format as the last mission. Your only hindrance with this mission will be impatience as the Mining Tools make covering distances a lot more annoying.
Mission 05 Prison Break
Current Objective: Capture all enemy Outpost structures or destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
A mission that has the favors weighed against you to start, but the task is relatively simple. For this mission to obtain an S, Ignore the enemy commander. The easiest and safest way to secure victory is to capture both outposts. Ignore the Eionite Refineries as you don’t need additional deployment. Follow the roads, going from the 1st outpost to the 2nd. Remember, you only have 1 Aegis do not let it get near enemy fire. Have the Farside Variable Armor go up the middle of the map instead and supply backup from long distances.
Mission 06 Pirate Bay
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
Oooh boy, this will be your first real test of wit. The key to this battle is to not be overwhelmed which is easier said than done. The enemy now has Prospect Variable Armour which has AoE attacks, 2 out of 3 defenses are pretty stacked, lays mines, and is just a pain. Pair that up with 2 bases and you have a lot to push back. Anyhow, there is a quick set-up to do. Capture the 2 Eonite Refineries in the bottom right ignore the outpost as the enemies won’t come here. Move all the Variable Armours here to the middle ASAP so you can take out the first wave of prospects and gain some ground. You’ll want to take the first Eonite Refinery and the Outpost in the bottom left. Work towards the Eonite Refinery beside your Outpost now. A great plan of action is after you’ve setup base and moved your Variable Armours to the middle you’ll branch off in 2 ways: a) Luella, an Aegis, and a Havok will form a team and head to the right enemy outpost. Reinforce Luella’s defense and use her to slay everything. Aegis for heals, and Havok for capturing if you need to. b) Everything else including deploys will push back the left outpost and kill the enemy/capture it’s outpost too. Just be wary of keeping you Variable Armours close to eachother because a Prospect can hit a group of 4 for 50%+ of their HP. Note: You’ll need to deploy Pathfinders to locate mines enemies lay down.
Mission 07 Minefield
1st: Current Objective: Capture the marked Outpost to search for Dusk Inhibitor. Defeat Conditions: All allied units with Capture skill are lost. 2nd: Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
Naturally, this is an ambush that’ll surprise you and you’ll have trouble but the game continues from whence you captured the Outpost. So before capturing the Outpost, get all your Variable Armours inside the base area and get them in a good defensive position and make sure to deploy an Aegis. Let the enemy come to you, finish them off and deploy whatever help you’ll need.
Mission 08 Ruen
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
Start off by procuring the Outpost and 2 Eionite Refineries immediately in front of you. Luckily, this mission isn’t like the last few and have some nasty surprises or enemy Variable Armours, this is just lengthy. Have your Insight, and Havok take the bottom right Outpost. The rest of the team will go up the middle. Regroup at the middle Outpost then proceed to capture the Outpost on the right, careful about the enemy Insight. As you gain more SP now, you’ll want to focus on building Serpens or Prospects as they have high Explosive Defense against the enemies Farside. Once the Outpost is captured as is the remaining Eionite Refineries, you’ll focus solely on pushing back the enemy forces. Keep your Aegis close and ready to heal as the Farside has a good deal of range.
Mission 09 DUSK
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
Fortunately, this battle is a push-over. You will not need to capture any Outposts nor Eonite Refineries as it’ll waste turns, a beginner’s trap if you will. Rush Vincent’s team from 2 separate directions. With you focusing entirely on advancing on Vincent, his team should only be able to procure 2 Outposts and 1 Eonite Refinery which is of no threat. Pick his team off 1 by 1 and keep your people healthy with your Aegis, remember to buff your team mates in the lead.
Stage 2 – Complete Vincent’s campaign with S Ranks.
Mission 01 In Pursuit
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This is a simple fight, no refineries or outposts. That being said, the enemy has a few Prospects which could pose a threat with their AoE’s. Luckily you have Vanguard’s. Have you’re Vanguard’s spearhead an attack up the middle, have them use their Overcharge ability so they’re super powered the following turn. You’re Vanguard’s can now one-hit the Prospects which’ll greatly remove the threat level you face. You can pick off the final Prospect without issue, take out the non-threatening Havok, and Aegis too. Usually Insight’s can pose a threat with their distance but your Vanguard can one-hit it without an overcharge so it’s a push-over for this mission.
Mission 02 Duel
Current Objective: Capture all enemy Outpost structures or destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
A rather small scale mission, but you don’t start with an Aegis which can be troublesome. Luckily there’s a safe method to utilize. Disregard the starting positions and send your Maelstrom up the left path to take out the enemy Prospect and Havok if they comes towards you which they should. Have your Havok Capture the bottom right Eionite Refinery immediately. You Vanguard should take the right path up to the enemy Outpost and stand on top of it (Enemies can’t summon if the space is occupied). Once the Bulwark starts approaching your Maelstrom have it retreat towards the Aegis you will summon. Without enemy reinforcements just have your Maelstrom slowly take out the Bulwark, while being healed every turn from your Aegis.
Mission 03 Siege
1st: Current Objective: Capture bridge control Outpost to bring the bridge back online. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost. 2nd: Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
Ugh, a huge mission with another missing Aegis. Not fun. Given the fact that enemies can generally move how they want and it’s often depicted by your approach it’s hard to recommend a ‘guide’ per se for this mission. So there’ll be a guideline more or so to follow! You’ll want to Capture the Eionite Refineries on your way, that’s a given. But the key point to this mission is surviving, not an easy task. Take your time with this mission! Before you move a Variable Armour, look at what Variable Armour will be coming for you. You’ll know what the range of attack and movement is from having similar Variable Armours. You always want to get the first strike if possible, though you’ll take hits. Slow and steady will win this race, but there is one crucial enemy to keep an eye out for; the Invader, if he sticks you with Virus you are screwed. Invaders have a movement of 4, with a range of 3, be careful! Once the bridge is connected, stand your ground, all Variable Armours except the Insight and Farside will traverse the bridge, take them out. Lastly, due to Farside’s reach you’ll need to utilize Maelstrom who has high defense against Explosive Attacks. So send Maelstrom in to finish off the last 2 enemies.
Mission 04 Hijackers
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
It’s a short mission, but a real doozy. There’s mines all over the place and the enemy has a good upper hand from a vantage point. Utilizing reloads, it’s a lot of trial and error with the mines. The real danger here is the enemy, having multiple Prospects makes them very dangerous. Number 1 rule: do not put enemies adjacent to the gaps that border the center, you’ll be sitting ducks for ranged attacks. Stay to the outer ring of the map as you make your way towards the enemy. Split each team up in-half with equal Variable Armour Types going seperate directions, except have Maelstrom head to bottom right path. Have the Aegis go on both right paths, they won’t need to go down the left paths. Make sure to Overcharge your Vanguard’s and have them be the brunt of most of your attacks alongside Maelstrom. Take it really slow and study which Variable Armours you’re up against. The Prospects are your biggest threat with their AoE’s.
Mission 05 Detective Work
Current Objective: Capture all enemy Outpost Structures or destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: Either of the manufacturing plant Outposts are lost or all allied units are lost.
Yet another mission without an Aegis, get used to it. Luckily the enemy doesn’t have an upper hand. Use the Maelstrom to capture the bottom Eionite Refinery, and both Havok’s capture the one’s above. Send both Vanguards left to defeat the enemy forces, be witty or you’ll lose a Variable Armor. Stop your Vanguards at the end of the valley and let the enemy come to you so you can ambush them getting the first hits. With the SP you’ll obtain summon an Aegis who you’ll send with Maelstrom and a Havok to the right to fight off that enemy force. Just keep out of the Insight’s line of sight.
Mission 06 Shipyard
1st: Current Objective: An allied unit must reach the rally point. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost. 2nd: Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
A different mission type where you’ll be running away, then heading back after obtaining reinforcements. The enemy Serpens, even after you have reinforcements is a large threat. Unfortunately the enemy Variable Armours outnumber you on both sides, to manage this you’ll need to ambush a set to get the advantage. Move your top Invader right one hexagon. Move your Insight directly below your Invader to the right. Then move your bottom Invader to where the Insight was. Now you’ll get the first hits on the enemies and a huge advantage, if you’re unable to kill both Viarable Armours in front of you, have a Havok use Hack: Jamming to prevent it’s turn. Rinse and repeat for the next wave, then you’ll be home free to the top. Be very cautious on the return when destroying the Serpens. Make a save.
Mission 07 Cold Trail
Current Objective: Capture all enemy Outpost structures or destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This mission is a very tiny map and you’ll need to maneuver in 1 to 3 hexagon movements, utilize mountains without range of sight, expect the same from the enemy, etc. It’s a VERY hard mission to guideline and strategize, so a video has been made to detail the S rank:
Mission 08 Stronghold
Current Objective: Capture all enemy Outpost structures or destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
Compared to the hell Mission 07 was, this mission is a huge pushover due to a flaw you can expose. Make use of frequent saving as proximity mines are annoying and abundant. Anyhow, send your Vanguard and top-most Pathfinder are far up as possible.Have all your other Variable Armours go left. The next turn use your Vanguard to one-shot the enemy Variable Armor that was deployed, and put the Pathfinder on top of the Outpost and do not move him again. Voila, you’ve just halfed the enemies offensive power. Have the Vanguard join back up with the rest and steam roll everything in your path. Be weary though, keep Maelstrom in the lead with Aegis close behind because Maelstrom is about the only unit able to withstand Cervantes Commander Power.
Mission 09 Rivals
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This one can be tricky due to the Invader’s and Izol’s Arbiter. What you’re going to want to do is have deploy an Aegis A.S.A.P. This is difficult because you’ll have very little Eionite Refineries so you’ll have to make do. Send your top Havok to capture the top Eionite Refinery and the bottom Havok to capture the bottom Outpost and Eionite Refinery. Move all your other Variable Armors forward, then on the following turn watch where the Arbiter goes. You’ll head in the opposite direction, this is to buy you some time to earn SP. With an Aegis the Invaders are no longer a threat, enemy Havok’s are almost never a threat, take out the enemy Novus if it gets close. Anyhow, the toughest part of this mission by far will be the Arbiter, really high defenses for all 3 types and a ranged attacker, luckily he goes down easy; have your Novus use use Disintegrate Armour on the Arbiter and then your Vanguard can one-shot the Arbiter with it’s Energy Saber. Once the Arbiter is gone it’s clear sailing. This is all easier said than done though, so here’s a video detailing the above strategy:
Stage 3 – Complete Aurielle’s campaign with S Ranks.
Mission 01 Guard Duty
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
This mission is a relief after the last few! have each Prospect place a Mine in the each forest to the left and right. Have your Bulwark guard the middle forest and move your Farside’s up one hexagon. This mission is like lamb to the slaughter. Stand your ground and pick the enemies off as they come! Bulwark can heal multiple Variable Armours at once and remove buffs, Prospects have AoE attacks, and Farside’s have long distances. You’ll be just fine. Do deploy an Aegis if you are worried though.
Mission 02 Family Business
1st: Current Objective: Retreat to the Outpost and capture it. Defeat Conditions: All allied units with Capture skill are lost. 2nd: Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
A fleeing type of mission that you’ll likely fall victim to trying to get away or capturing the Eionite Refineries along the way. This eats too much time, and is quite unnecessary. The trick here is to get to the top and around the bend to the right. Have your Prospect stand directly south 2 hexagons below the top Eionite Refinery and place a Proximity Mine 1 hexagon south-west (next to the Facility Metal). The enemy Vanguard will take heavy damage and lose a turn, you’ll then be able to finish it off. Use the city to your advantage, as they have huge cover bonuses, to attack the enemy as they come around picking them off one by one. Don’t forget to keep the Aegis away from enemies but within range to heal! Finishing the fight in the middle of the map here gets you an S.
Mission 03 Employee Benefits
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
One word. Bulwark. You’re Bulwark is a tank in this level. Keep her on the cities scattered throughout and lay into enemies with the viruses. The enemy Aegis is slow to catch up and the Diety will be dead far before it catches up. It’s recommended to bring a Prospect with its distances and blind shots across the gaps, but play with whatever your comfortable with as this is not a particularly hard mission.
Mission 04 Escape Artist
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This mission is a doozy because of the turn limits required for an S rank. You’ll have to forego the traditional route you’ve been taking of more powerful enemies. This mission is all about speed and covering hexagons to finish it A.S.A.P. The beginning is the riskiest part and if you can pull it off you’re in the clear. Send both Havoks to the Eionite Refinery at the end of the road, this will be the only Refinery you’ll capture. Make sure after capturing the Refinery you remain on the city tiles, you need the bonus defense. Deploy a Novus first as his range and offense type will handle the incoming Prospect well, alongside the Havok. You will most likely be damaged but the city bonuses will let you survive. Next deploy an Aegis to heal up your units. From here on out there’s only one thing that matters, for the next 4 turns deploy Pathfinders. They cover 6 squares, but with their Weakened ability enemies won’t do damage, and their Saboteur Blades do enough damage. Rush the middle, push everything back and kill all enemy Variable Armours.
Mission 05 Unwanted Guests
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
A particularly difficult battle if you don’t plan it right. Ignore the top Eionite Refinery if you want this battle to be a breeze. Have your bottom Havok capture the bottom Eionite Refinery, making sure to send the Prospect with it. Have all other Variable Armours go up and rush to capture the Outpost, ignoring the top Eionite Refinery. If you manage to do so, the enemies are slim pickings as the Bulwark is heavily OP again backed with 2 Aegis’. Have your Invader cast Hack: Jamming on the enemy Maelstrom giving you 2 free turns to lay into him making the threat null. Now all you have to do is clean up the enemies. If the Maelstrom heads to the bottom, just retreat your Havok and Prospect to the middle.
Mission 06 Parent Trap
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This. Mission. Is. Hell. Prepare to have the luck of god and get it done within 15 minutes, or spend 3 hours bashing your head against a wall. The concept is easy; You HAVE to complete this mission in 7 turns or less. There’s only really 1 way to attempt this, while having the grace of god, lady luck, rng goddess, and buddha on your side. At the very beginning have the Havok take the Outpost on the right, and your Novus take the middle Outpost; this will limit the amount of Variable Armours the enemy can deploy. Have your Bulwark head to the right, and the Aegis to the left. As to what teams go where, it’s your decision as there’s not a lot of advantages in this battle nor good strategy. This level is heavily dependent on what the enemy uses. You could re-load 100 times until the enemy changes strategy, which it does! Instead of targeting you, on the next reload the Insight could buff it’s partner allowing you to approach and finish it off. But it’s relentless. The strategy employed for an S rank in the guide was the above plus Bulwark, and Invaders to the bottom and right. Then to the left Aegis, Prospect, and Novus. Do whatever with the Havok. This is by far one of the hardest missions due to the STRICT turn limit for S Rank. Pray to the RNG Goddess. If you get hit from the Insight and get immobilized you’ll likely fail, if the enemy stands directly in your path, you’ll likely fail, you can’t stop moving. It’s a constant push forward and destroy. There isn’t a video as this took 3 hours of reloads and retries to have the enemy do exactly the luck needed and a video with 1000 jump-cuts isn’t pretty.
Mission 07 Access Denied
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
A thankful ridiculously easy mission. Send a Havok to each side, capture the Eionite Refineries first then the Outposts.Send the Bulwark up the middle then to the left, have the Prospect go left and up, the Aegis will follow your Havok on the right. Now go kill off the enemies, as for what to deploy, on the right Outpost just deploy Pathfinders.
Mission 08 Disrupted Industry
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
Not a hard mission if you know what you’re doing. Have your Bulwark move to the top trees. Your goal for your Bulwark is to take out the top left Insight, have your Aegis follow the Bulwark (Have it cast Overcharge Reactor on your Prospect after the Prospect moves) as it’ll succumb to Immobilised. Put your Prospect on the Eionite Refinery, after it recieves overcharge it’ll one-shot the bottom right Insight.Have your Havok capture this Eionite Refinery, and your Novus capture the one your Prospect was on. Deploy a new Prospect, then you’ll want to send your Bulwark, Prospect, and all future deployed Prospects to the center to destroy everything. Serpens will kill everything else if you send other Variable Armours.
Mission 09 Ransom
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This is a brutal mission because of the S Rank turn requirement. You MUST finish this in 7 turns. Here’s the catch, Getting to the enemy base takes 5 turns. You must finish ALL enemies off within 2 turns (Minus the ones that approached you), which there is only ONE solution; You MUST get a Havok 2 hexagon’s diagonally between the enemy Outposts. This will have the enemies deployed fire at you instead of moving off the outpost, limiting another round of deployments. THIS IS MANDATORY. The problem is that it takes 6 turns to reach that hexagon. Esentially what this mission entails is you do EVERY step absolutely perfect or you’ll fail the S rank. This is one of the toughest in the game. You’ll want to only capture the 2 Eionite Refineries and Outpost in the middle. The other required things are that you send your Novus’ to the enemy Farside(1 to each farside) to cast Disintergrate Armour to remove their ridiculous shields. The top left Farside will require you to use your Prospects. The other Farside will require you to send Pathfinders to destroy it (One Pathfinder can possibly go down to aid in killing an enemy, but with a 6 hexagon walk can still make it back to finish off the Farside). Everything else will advance to finish off the enemies below. It is a COMPLICATED set-up and management but a video was made for this guide: Note: To follow the video, since the first 3 turns are walking, it’ll start on Turn 4. Set-up of the video has the team look like this:
Stage 4 – Complete Izol’s campaign with S Ranks.
Mission 01 Watch & Learn
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
As always, Mission 01’s are pushovers. Everything is already set-up for you. Have your Arbiter move up and use Mediator Missiles to kill the Novus. Then have your Arbiter run around the mountains and destroy the enemies without much hesitation. Deploy an Novus as back-up, then Invaders to support from distance over the mountains.
Mission 02 Anchored
Current Objective: Capture all Eionite Refineries. Defeat Conditions: All allied units with Capture skill are lost.
A relaxing mission as there’s no deployments! Have your Arbiter go as far forward as possible, hopefully it’ll draw an enemy to you. then bring the rest of your Variable Armours up too. This is the gameplan: Novus and 2 Invader’s go left, have 1 Invader use Hack: Virus then the other use Shock Magnum alongside the Novus‘ Novus Heavy Cannon to take down the enemies on the left. Your Novus will go on to capture the Eoinite Refinery. Have your Aegis follow the Arbiter so it can remove the constant weakening debuff it’ll be hit with. Have your Arbiter clear out a bunch of enemies as it makes it’s way towards the bottom right Eionite Refinery. Send your Novus to the top Eionite Refinery to capture now, and on the way have the Aegis follow him. The enemy Insight will cause Immobilised and we don’t want that. Once you capture the Eionite Refineries you win.
Mission 03 Recovery
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This mission can seem stacked against you but it’s turned over. To start send one Havok to each side to get the top most Eionite Refineries, you need bth Eionite Refineries to help easily win this. Summon an Aegis A.S.A.P as you’ll need it. After that, every turn you’ll obtain 40SP and with that you’ll want to alternate this pattern; deploy Novus, deploy Novus + Havok, deploy Novus, deploy Novus + Havok, etc. Rinse and repeat. Novus are to draw the Insights attention as they can take the damage. Once the Insights are gone, it’s easy. Use the Novus’ Disintegrate Armour to make the building defense bonus of enemies null, and just rush taking enemies out.
Mission 04 Grudge
Current Objective: Capture the Outpost containing the docking clamp controls. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
A fair sized map that lets on more than it is. Just rush the objective by going right and around. You’ll overpower everything and make it to the objective in about 6 turns, no problem. Capture all 3 buildings at the very start on your 1st turn.Continuously summon Pathfinders. Send a Havok to the bottom to take over the enemy base for no surprises. Keep the Serpens behind as a means of defense if the top left Variable Armours come down which they shouldn’t. Besides that there isn’t much else.
Mission 05 Ambush
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This is a relatively fun mission, you’ll have 3 seperate teams against 3 seperate teams. The problem is the Farsides can destroy your middle team. There’s not much set-up either as neither side has Outposts or Eionite Refineries. Start off by giving your ArbiterOvercharged from your Aegis, so it can one-shotthe Invader beside you, then move all your middle forward.the sides can’t do much yet, so move them all forward too. The key to this battle is understanding defenses. Farsides are the biggest threats, so you’ll need to do 1 of 2 things, sometimes both: Distract Farsides with the side enemies, Farsides tend to target what’s immediately in front of them. Else they’ll target usually weaker Variable Armours, which you should give Enhance Armour from the Aegis whenever you can. The key to the 3rd and 4th Farside is to use Jamming on them to buy an extra turn, it’ll really take the heat off! Once the Farsides are gone, your biggest threat is gone too! Don’t mistake Deity as a threat for the only person she can one-shot is your Pathfinder, don’t ever leave the Pathfinder in the open! Besides these few tips, it’s all about being cautious, studying the enemies, and slowly advancing!
Mission 06 Alpha
Current Objective: Capture all enemy Outpost structures. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures are lost.
Another mission that is very tight on turns and luck-based. If you try to even capture any Eonite Refineries or extra Outposts, you’ll have used too much turns. At the start of the mission deploy a single Havok and have it rush the enemy Outpost. For the rest of the mission only deploy Pathfinders. Use the Pathfinders to weaken enemy attacks and take the aggro! If a Pathfinder takes a lot of damage, you have enough wiggle room to retreat 1. Remember to utilize saving and reloading, to bolster your luck as you attempt to get your Havok to the enemy base and capture it within 9 turns.
Mission 07 Inside Job
1st: Current Objective: Prepare for the incoming attack! Defeat Conditions: None. 2nd: Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures are lost.
Another fun mission, a defend your base type! It’s a long set-up though. On the bottom deploy an Insight then pass your turn. Deploy an Insight at the top then pass your turn. Now deploy a Farsight in the middle Start moving the Variable Armour into place to correspond with enemy attacks and defensive positions. Remember to push forward so you’ll eventually be at where they deploy, so you’ll finish in fewer turns! What you’ll want to do is deploy 2 units a turn, mirror the top and bottom rows; Novus, then Pathfinders, then Invader, then Aegis, when you get the chance summon Arbiter to the middle. This should really be all you’ll need, feel free to swap to a more comfortable playstyle, as long as you keep pushing the enemy back. You’ll want to finish the final wave within 2 turns of deploy hopefully.
Mission 08 The Pack
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Eionite Refinery structures or are lost.
no deployments this mission, in a way that makes it easier! First, the set-up; Move your Arbiter all the way forward, move your right Serpens 1 hexagon up and use Micro Missiles on the Vanguard, move the left Serpens to where the 1st was and use Micro Missiles on the Vanguard destroying it. That’s a huge hassle out of the way. Now it’s the traditional, push the enemy back, destroy them, and play smart. The method used for the S rank was all the Insights went to the top left alongside a Novus. Everything else went around to the bottom right. Stay on buildings, use buffs, etc. The no. 1 you want to do, is get rid of the bottom right Invader A.S.A.P. Besides those, this mission isn’t as tight as other requirements, just play smart.
Mission 09 Ghosts
1st: Current Objective: Capture and investigate any of the structures. Defeat Conditions: None. 2nd: Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied units are lost.
This level has a beginners trap. As soon as you capture a building there’ll be an ambush. You’ll have to waste a turn but it’s pretty imperative to do so. Move your Havok onto the neighboring Eionite Refinery but wait your turn. Bring your Arbiter to the left to the next Eionite Refinery, he won’t make it. Move your Serpens to the Facility Metal, so he’s not in line of sight of the enemy. The Invader will still nab him though unfortunately soon. The next turn have the Havok capture the Eionite Refinery, proceeded by the Arbiter doing the same. Pass your turn. The key here is to get an Aegis A.S.A.P. The enemy can’t deploy but you’ve set up a base with a healer now. Hold fort / Bring the Arbiter out. It should be manageable once you have an Aegis.
Stage 5 – The Finale Missions
Mission 10 The Sanctum
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
This is a tough one worthy of being called a finale. Not tight in turns, but heavy in the offensive. There is a key to winning this though, don’t let the enemy deploy. There’s only one building they could capture easily and deploy from, so the plan is this: Maintain your Arbiter near it killing any enemies that approach it/just mowing enemies down period. Bring the bottom left Havok’s close to the middle left base. Your right Novus and Havok follow the road leading away from the enemies. and bring the Insights down. Your deployments will be Aegis’! You’ll want one at each group to maintain debuffs and healings! The enemies will all rush you and now that you’ve created groups of 4’s on buildings and reinforced with an Aegis and prevented the deployment, it’ll be tough but manageable.
Mission 10 Krukov Honour
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
The map is in quite the disarray but it’s easier than the mission prior. You’ll have to split your army up and take care of the enemy portions seperately to maintain a good turn order for this mission. You’ll be facing Cervantes which has the specialty of Virus which is a pain. Bottom left Prospect goes left, the Bottom right Farside goes right, have the Bulwark follow the Farside. Top Farside will go left, and the top Prospect will go right. What you want is to deploy Aegis’ for this mission, in each base closest to the group that’ll need it first. Once each army has an Aegis summon Pathfinders for quick easy support.
Mission 10 Nethalis Unyielding
Current Objective: Destroy all enemy units. Defeat Conditions: All allied Outpost structures or units are lost.
No Aegis to start with unfortunately but you do get the benefit of lots of Vanguards. In your favor the enemy has no deployment, but the have a good starting number and they have Invaders and Aegis’. Anyhow there’s a good approach. Your first plan is to bring your Maelstrom to the top left. Maelstrom’s Shockwave Slash is incredibly useful! Your top Vanguard move forward 2 into the bush and cast Overcharge, this’l lure the enemy Invader. You’ll attack him with the Vanguard soon, then retreat the vanguard as it’ll likely get hurt or have Virus. Your bottom Vanguard put at the middle left city and cast Overcharge to lure the enemy Vanguard which you’ll one-shot next turn. You’ll then work this Vanguard to the bottom left. Everything else will march down the middle, making sure to utilize buildings for great defense boosts and deploying Aegis. Don’t be afraid to temporarily retreat a Variable Armour.
Mission 10 Paragon
This map is massive and you’ll be up against your biggest battle yet. Luckily it’s not a heavy turn constraint, slow and steady with preperation will win this for you! Capture the immediate first buildings. Then bring all your armours into the middle and take care of the approaching enemies. Use your Deity to do a number on the Maelstrom, except make sure to keep the Deity moving as it needs to get to the bottom left A.S.A.P. Once the middle is cleared, send a sole Havok up to the top to capture both Outpost structures. Make sure to deploy an Aegis that’ll follow most Variable Armours to the left. send the right Insight to the right with your Deity. Once the bottom right is captured summon an Invader. You’ll also want to summon a Vanguard if you can, or Pathfinder to go the right as well. You’ll use the Invader to cast Jamming on the Deity and then have a turn to take it out. The Bulwark is a huge threat but manageable. Give a Novus a Defense Boost from your Aegis and have it stand in a City Concrete near the Bulwark to lure it out, she’ll attack you but you’ll survive. Heal up your Novus, have the Novus use Disintegrate Armour on the Bulwark and it’ll go down really easy. Use the remaining Havok the followed capture the stuff on the bottom. Same method for the top for offense. Once you’ve captured all the Eionite Refineries, you’re done!

Perfect Trap Destroy an enemy with a Prospect proximity mine.
Proximity mines are a skill of the Prospect. Unfortunately proximity mines generally aren’t strong enough to destroy an enemy variable armour alone, so you’ll likely need an injured enemy to step onto one. This trophy will likely come naturally but if it doesn’t, there is a preferred mission. Aurielles Mission 01 Guard Duty comes with 2 Prospects to start and 2 Farsides! Utilize the Farsides to deal damage, and lay mines down. Restart the mission if things aren’t going in your favor.
Area of Effect Hit three or more targets with a single attack.
Pretty self-explanatory, you must hit 3 or more enemies with a single attack. The tricky thing with this trick is luck, as you’ll need 3 enemies to line up in a row preferably. Luckily roads and grass allow further travel distances, so enemies will utilize them making it more likely to happen. This can even happen during the very first mission and will be the method utilized here.
During Luella’s first mission, Mission 00 “Ace” you can obtain this trophy. It’s a short mission and can be set-up to do so in 1 to 2 minutes flat, so resetting the stage if luck doesn’t agree with you isn’t too much of a hassle. Next you’ll want to make sure to use Luella herself. When 3 enemies line-up either on the left or right ride, side does not matter this method works on both. From her starting position line yourself up with them in a straight line. Luella’s first skill, Precision Rail Rifle has a distance of 5 and deals extreme damage (It will destroy all 3 enemies in a single use).

Variable Armours are deployed through Outpost structures using CP generated from Eionite Refineries. If it does not, once you have the trophy Master Tactician come back to earn this as you’ll be able to play sloppily to complete the mission. Using Vincent’s Mission 03 Siege is a great choice, as the 2nd half won’t have enemies deploying and you can deploy as much as you’d like before destroying the enemy commander.
