Welcome to the trophy guide for The Survivalists. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Welcome to The Survivalists! The Survivalists is a survival game where you complete tasks and quests to eventually escape your shipwreck. The map of your own game will be randomly generated and it will have a unique layout of the islands and locations for your playthrough. However, everyone will have the same basic elements and gameplay.

Stage 1 – Play the entire game until you almost escape on the Galleon.

Play through the tutorial of the game to learn the ‘how to’ for the game. Unlock the Crafting Menus as soon as possible. Move around your island to harvest and discover new resources, weapons, money, and monkeys. Monkeys will want a certain item, provide it to them, and you will now have that monkey to use the entire game. Eventually you will max out around 25 monkeys. Train monkeys to craft items, gather resources, hunt animals, and defeat enemies in battles. Construct crates to be able to increase the amount of inventory you can have and gather with you at one time. Construct the raft, take monkeys, sparse resources and weapons with you as you start to explore the map to discover new islands. Find the Mysterious Stranger who has unique quests, rare items, Labyrinth Keys, and Treasure Maps. You will be able to gather new resources to make new items and discover the locations of the four labyrinths that contain elemental weapons and special items needed to escape on the Galleon. Before you finalize the Galleon, earn all the online trophies.

Tips

-Find and gain Monkeys as quickly at you can from your first island.

-Train Monkeys to complete tasks: gathering, harvesting, combat, building, and crafting as soon as you can. Change their color to put them in groups that complete certain tasks. The more times a monkey completes a task the better and more efficient they become in completing it. This will save a lot of time throughout your playthrough.

-Find the Mysterious Stranger after you have found items to sell and gained money so that you can buy resources, weapons, materials, treasure maps, and The Keys for the 4 Labyrinths. The Labyrinths will have The Keys to Escape which are needed to finish the game. The Keys for the Labyrinths are each 5000 doubloons each. Also, complete the task for the Mysterious Stranger to earn special items (random) and the Reward (the Spy Glass).

-Build the raft and use the Spy Glass to find out in which directions there is other islands to discover and reveal your Map of your World (it is randomly laid out at the start of the game and never changes for you).

-Build Crates and take resources, materials, and weapons with you on your raft. Also, bring empty Crates to be able to gather rarer and items that are not available on your starting island. Your raft can hold about 7 Crates and about 10 Monkeys on it with not having issues sailing between the islands.

-Since sailing is a slow process, it is recommended to make a campfire at the new island that is far away. Also, make a Bed with a Blanket so that you can sleep and save your game. You can have multiple camps with campfires, beds, crafting benches, forges, cooking pots, etc.

-Some biome regions are dangerous. Volcanic land will burn you. Swamps will have flying insects attack you. Drinking Clean Water or an Elixir will protect you from their effects. Either make these, or buy them, if available, from the Mysterious Stranger.

-When playing in the Vaults and Labyrinths, check your Map with the zoom to make sure that you have accessed all doorways and rooms. They may contain many useful items and lead you to the final room. The final room will have one Elemental Weapon and one Special item that is part of The Keys of Escape.

 The Completionists!
Get all other Trophies.

Unlock all other trophies. Congratulations on surviving your monkey journey!

 It’s Elementary!
Collect all elemental weapons.

There are 8 Elemental Weapons, with one being available in each of the 4 Labyrinths that you have available in your game. In one full playthrough you will only be able to get 4 of the Elemental Weapons from your Labyrinths. However, since you will have to play online to earn all trophies, join other players’ game sessions and you will unlock the Elemental Weapons that they have unlocked too. Therefore, find and play as many online games as you need and in no time you will earn all the Elemental Weapons. See the pictures below.

 The Real Escapist
Escape in the galleon.

The Galleon will be randomly placed on your own Map, however, if it is probably near the center area of your Map, you will have to fix it. There are many levels of building that need to be accomplished. It is most efficient to work on the Galleon as you sometimes need to travel past its location to another area on your Map.

The levels of rebuilding are:
Level 1: 80x Wooden Slats, 30x Metal Nails.
Level 2: 10x Wooden Slats, 5x Metal Nails, 2x Metal Hinges.
Level 3: 30x Wooden Slats, 15x Golden Nails.
Level 4: 5x Wooden Rods, 5x Metal Nails, 3x Sails.
Level 5: 8x Wooden Rods, 5x Metal Nails, 4x Sails.
Level 6: 8x Wooden Rods, 5x Metal Nails, 4x Sails.
Level 7: 45x Ropes.
Level 8: The Key to Escape: Monkey Figurehead.
Level 9: The Key to Escape: Galleon’s Wheel.
Level 10: The Key to Escape: Compass.
Level 11: The Key to Escape: Story Map.

After the final level of building is completed, you will be able to Escape. This will lead to the conclusion of the game, however, you will be directly back at this location post game to finish off any other trophies if needed. See the pictures below.

 I am the Lore!
Collect 30 pieces of lore.

You will be able to search baskets, wrecked vehicles and boats, skeletons, and altars for loot. Sometimes you will find a Diary Page, choose to pick it up to collect it. Throughout your playthrough you will be able to find many of these Diary Pages scattered across your World. Check in your Journal>Profile, Diary Pages number. See the pictures below.

 At last
Found the storm map.

You will find the Storm Map in the Bat Labyrinth. This will be in the room that has the most dangerous enemies. The Storm Map will be highlighted in white light. When you interact with it, you will earn this trophy and you will be able to immediately fast travel back to the entrance to the Labyrinth. See the pictures below.

 At your beQUEST!
Complete 30 treasure maps.

You can find Bottles on the sandy beaches that contain a Treasure Map to a Treasure Chest. There will be a clue given that you can check in your Journal. You can also buy Treasure Maps from the Mysterious Stranger (guy with the hot air balloon). You can search for these locations or more easily, destroy all Treasure Chests that you come across. Over the course of your game if you pick up all bottles on the sandy beaches and buy all Treasure Maps, you will eventually complete 30 Treasure Maps.

 Wheely Lucky
Found the galleon’s wheel.

You will find the Galleon’s Wheel in the Monkey Labyrinth. This will be in the room that has the most dangerous enemies. The Galleon’s Wheel will be highlighted in white light. When you interact with it, you will earn this trophy and you will be able to immediately fast travel back to the entrance to the Labyrinth. See the picture below.

 Lore-man
Collect 15 pieces of lore.

See ‘I am the Lore!’ trophy description.

 This is Sparta!
Defeat 300 enemies.

As soon as you are able to train monkeys in combat, you will want to teach your gang of monkeys to use weapons to kill enemies. As you explore the world, vaults, and Labyrinths, have the monkeys in combat mode. They will attack enemies (including animals) and protect you as you move through the world. This will make clearing areas, especially Labyrinths, much faster. Plus, since they will kill animals, you can then pickup the resources from these animal kills. After defeating 300 enemies, you will earn this trophy.

 Heading Home
Found the figurehead.

You will find the Monkey Figurehead in the Boar Labyrinth. This will be in the room that has the most dangerous enemies. The Figurehead will be highlighted in white light. When you interact with it, you will earn this trophy and you will be able to immediately fast travel back to the entrance to the Labyrinth. See the picture below.

 On Point

You will be able to build only a few items at the start of the game. As you build these items, it will unlock other items that you can build. So continue to make new items as you have the resources and equipment available to make these items. When you eventually unlock all the Blueprints Recipes, you will earn this trophy. See the picture below.

 Overcooked!
Unlock all cooking pot recipes.

You will be able to cook only a few items at the start of the game. As you unlock the ability to make new items and craft more items, you will unlock more items that you can cook. You will need to have built a Forge to have access to make a Bucket and you will need to have access to the Cooking Pot Blueprint. Then you need to construct the Cooking Pot. Then start to use the Cooking Pot to make more and more of the Cooking Pot Recipes. When you eventually unlock all the Cooking Pot Recipes, you will earn this trophy. See the pictures below.

 Forging Ahead
Unlock all furnace recipes.

You will need to have the building menu for the Forge unlocked from the Blueprints in order to be able to make a Forge. Once you have made a Forge it will have its own Forge Menu of items that you can build. Build all of them as you have the required materials and resources available to eventually unlock all the Forge Menu items. See the picture below.

 Monkey’ing Around
Gather 5 Items with a monkey.

You will be able to train monkeys to complete a number of tasks for you. Teach a monkey to gather items by putting the monkey into training mode, pick up an item and place it somewhere else (even on the ground). The monkey will then start to collect an item and then put it in the location you showed it. This will continue until the monkey has no more items to collect or you interrupt it to complete a different task. You can also stop a monkey from doing a task by making it follow you. Then as soon as you go to Sleep, the monkey will not be doing the task(s).

 Harvester
Harvest 500 resources.

Through playing the game you will pickup many hundreds of resources. It is best to train your monkeys to extract resources and gather them for you. If you have a Crate, you can train a monkey to put the resources into the Crate. The items will stack up to 99 per block in the Crate.

 Totally Buff
Have health, stamina and biome resistance buffs active at once.

To have the Health, Stamina, and Biome Resistance Buffs all active at once, you will need to eat the Slow Cooked Stew, the Marinated Steaks, and drink the Elixir at one time. This way all the buffs are activated at one time.

To make these you will need to have access to the Cooking Pot Recipes by unlocking the Bucket in the Forge and the Cooking Pot in the Blueprints. When you have all of these items, consume them at one time from your active inventory.

Note: It is possible to buy one or all of these items from the Mysterious Stranger, but this will take longer as the items that he offers are random and take about 6 days before they replenish, and he relocates to somewhere else in your world.

 Gone Wild
Leave the safety of the starting alcove.

The starting alcove is where you start the game from your destroyed raft. There are a few resources available to use on your raft. Once you venture out of this safer enclosed area into further new areas of your first island, you will earn this trophy.

From the Main Menu select Find Games to join another player’s game. This requires online play. You will require the host’s permission to build a blueprint on their island. There is an emote you can select to ask if it is NOT allowed when you enter their game. As soon as you are able to build a blueprint and you complete it, you will earn this trophy. See the picture below.

 This can only end well
Train a Monkey in combat!

Choose a monkey to train by putting it into training mode. Then you will need to attack an enemy (this includes animals like panthers, boars, sharks, etc. ) and then the monkey will start to do the same. There will be a weapon icon over the monkey’s head to indicate it is in Combat mode.

 Monkey Maker
Have a monkey craft 5 items.

Unlock the Crafting Bench from the Blueprint menu and build it. Once it is built you can train a monkey by: putting the monkey in training mode, choose the item you want to build, start to build it with your Hammer, cancel out of your activity, give the monkey the Hammer, and the monkey will finish the crafting task. Do this process of having a monkey craft 5 items to earn this trophy.

 How did that work?
Emote while standing on an emote switch.

There are ground switches throughout the World however some will have a specific emote image shown on them. If you press UP on the Dpad, you will access the Emote Menu. The Emotes that are mostly needed for the Labyrinths, these are the 6 on the far right of this menu. They are the stick figure person as:

3. Wave is the one in green.
4. Praise is the one in red.
5. Handstand is the one in teal.
6. Snake is the one in yellow.

The first time you stand on an emote switch and perform the emote, you will earn this trophy. You can train monkeys to perform emotes if you train them to do this. See the pictures below.

 Monkey Business
Build 5 blueprints using monkeys.

After you have a monkey (or more) and you have at least 5 different blueprints unlocked, you will be able to train monkeys to build an item. You will need to start to build the item from your blueprints and then let the monkey finish building the item for you. They will need a Hammer to be able to build items. Complete 5 different blueprints in this manner to earn this trophy.

 Hunter
Defeat 20 enemies.

See ‘This is Sparta!’ trophy description.

 Didn’t Starve
Survive for 127 hours.

As soon as you have made a Bed and Blanket, you will be able to sleep in the bed. This will make the time advance in the game. Make sure that you have food available to eat as you will deplete your health as you sleep repeatedly. Eat some food as needed so you do NOT die. Then you can continue to repeatedly choose to sleep until you have survived for 127 hours. By doing this you will also notice that your World will have been replenished. This means that the enemies, treasures, and destroyed items will be restored. Any non-gathered resources that you have harvested will still be available to pick up and collect if you choose to do so.

Once you have a monkey, you will be able to put it into training mode by choosing it. You will automatically throw a banana at it and this will force it to copy and learn whatever command you give it. You can teach it to these 5 tasks: gather, harvest, combat, build, and craft. There is only a limited amount of time that the monkey will be in training mode as noted by the small timer above its head. Note: The more times a Monkey does a trained task, the more efficient they become in that task. See the pictures below.

 Re-QUEST Granted!
Complete a treasure map.

Either find and pick up bottles on the sandy beaches or buy the Treasure Map(s) from the Mysterious Stranger. After obtaining the Treasure Map, your Journal will have details about where to find the treasure. However, most treasure are not that far away from where you found a Bottle, but the bought Treasure Maps could be anywhere in your World. As soon as you have found and destroyed the Treasure Chest, you will earn this trophy. See the pictures below.

 I’m an Explorer Now!
Discover another Island.

After you have constructed your Raft, you will be able to sail it to find new islands. This will lead you to find new resources, weapons, vaults, enemies, Labyrinths, and The Keys to Escape. Sailing on the raft is extremely slow. Make sure to check the Map of your World to see where you are headed. If you found the Mysterious Stranger on your first island, then you were given the Spy Glass as a Reward for completing his Task. Use the Spy Glass to find where there are islands available to discover. Once you are close to a newly discovered island, you will earn this trophy.

You can either craft a Spear from the Crafting Bench Recipes or find the weapon randomly in your World. Use the Spear to aim at a fish that is swimming in the shallow water along the coast of an island. It is best to not aim far away into dark blue water as you will possibly not be able to recover the Spear. Kill a fish after throwing the Spear and it immediately turns into Fish that you can collect. See the picture below.
