Welcome to the trophy guide for The Innsmouth Case. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Play through the Game to an Ending.


Play through the game to an ending. After you have gotten an ending it will be marked in your Notebook so take note as to the endings that you receive based on your choices through multiple playthroughs. The trophy descriptions below state the basic setup that is required, however, the video links below are timestamped to show all the choices made to arrive at a certain ending or trophy.

You will be able to then load any chapter that you have unlocked through your playthrough. Get another ending by making different choices.

After you have played through to multiple endings,, you will unlock more chapters so that you can continue the game from a certain point and affect the ending by making different choices. Most are straightforward and reloading a chapter and making different choices will lead to a new ending. However, there are certain endings and trophies that require a narrow pathway of choices. See the trophy descriptions below. The videos below have all the trophies and endings timestamped.

Stage 2 – Replay the Game from Unlocked Chapters or Start a New Game as Needed.



This game requires 27 playthroughs, but they are not all new full playthroughs of the game. Many only require that you continue from an unlocked chapter and finish a few choices to get the ending or trophy. It is recommended to playthrough the game a few times to naturally get different endings. This will also unlock some new locations. You can choose to reload a chapter or select a chapter (area) that is open to start a playthrough from there. It will use whatever choices that you made from the previous chapters in that partial playthrough. However, you can start a new game from the beginning and playthrough for a different ending. See the videos above for all the choices for the associated trophies and endings, however some are not full playthroughs and only show partial playthroughs so use the trophy descriptions to see if there is a certain setup needed for a particular ending.

Survivor
Wendy found a safe place.

You need to travel to the The Gilman Hotel during the daytime and talk to the receptionist. You will then need to choose to book a Wellness Retreat. When you get to the retreat, enter the cage and choose to remain in the cage and climb higher to survive the Wellness Retreat session.

Seen it All
Discovered all of Innsmouth.

There are 21 locations that you need to discover and visit in the game. Some locations can only be accessed by very specific choices, while others will have multiple ways of visiting.

The locations are: Park and Ride, Town Entrance, Town Square, Police Station, Jail Cell (Dungeon), Harbour, Brothel, Church of Dagon, Sacrificial Cave, Park near Hotel, The Gilman Hotel (night), The Gilman Hotel (day), Beach, Lighthouse, Marsh Villa, Walking around inside the Marsh Villa, Sacrifice Loft, Wellness Cage, and Town Limits.

Cthulhu fhtagn!
Played through all endings.

There are 27 endings for this game. Some require more specific choices, while others can happen in multiple ways. The general outline for each is listed below. See The Innsmouth Case – Part 2 and 3 and look for the timestamp under the description for this trophy.
(Note: There are possibly other ways to get some of the endings by other choices.)

In order of the Notebook:

Page 1 (Endings: 1 - 8

1. Let’s call it a day!

Do not take the case.

2. Slashed

End up in the Sacrificial Loft in Marsh Villa.
Choose:
-Did I mean nothing.
-After all you’ve lied to me and kidnapped me.
-Confess your love.
-Propose to her.
-Yes.
Continue to flirt with Dahlia. While in the Sacrificial Cave, ask Dahlia if she knows this woman. Next you will not want to kill anyone and watch. Finally attack Dahlia.

3. Demon Barber

Go to the Alleys and ask the Barber to give you a haircut after telling him you are bald and then try to calm him down.

4. Shot

While at the Marsh Villa, spill your wine on purpose, return to dinner, and then try to flee.

5. At the Stake

When captured by the townspeople at night, do not call for help or resist them in any way.

6. A Sacrifice to the Gods

When you are asleep at the Gilman Hotel, wake up from the nightmare, look out the window, and then try to run away.

7. Madness

You will need to have witnessed at least two odd moments in one playthrough. Some examples are:
-Read only part of the newspaper while sitting alone on the Bus going to Innsmouth.
-In the Lighthouse, go to the top and look at the cube closely.
-At the Gilman Hotel, wake up after the nightmare, barricade the door, and stay awake the rest of the night.

8. Blood on your hands

Go to Innsmouth by Bus and sit alone. Start to read the newspaper, but only read once, and then the passengers will look at look, choose whatever you like. Once in Innsmouth go to the Town Square>Police Station. Look around, look at the bulletin board, when the Police Guard talks to you say that you do not have anything to report. Ask why there are so many kidnappings and when the Police Guard leaves, look through his papers and you will be caught. Make sure that you do not talk your way out of it so that you end up in Jail Cell (Dungeon). In Jail look at the man, then the woman, and talk to her. Next do not attack the Police Guard and then keep quiet. Keep walking and when in the Sacrificial Cave, talk to Gary and make sure that you ask if everyone can go home. Then you will need to volunteer and have Gary demonstrate where to stand and then push him into the abyss. State that you are the High Priest and continue with the sacrifice.

Page 2 (Endings: 9 -16)


9. Strangled

Find Dahlia’s daughter and go for dinner at the Marsh Villa. You need to spill your wine on purpose, go back to the dinner, be rude to her father, fight him, and try to calm him down.

10. Rabid Ferrets

When you are in Ethel’s house, help her do some gardening, ask what’s in the bag, and then eventually look in the bag.

11. The Song of the Sea

While on the Wellness retreat, go into the Cage and do not move to safety.

12. Buried Alive

While at Ethel’s house you will need to agree to help her with the garden. Ask her what’s in the bag and then tell her you changed your mind.

13. Just Married

Flirt with Dahlia at every opportunity. At the Marsh Villa you will agree to marry her when asked, talk about her daughter’s wrong name, agree to sacrifice Lonny, and tell her it was liberating.

14. I regret nothing

While at the Brothel choose Don.

15. Wellness!

Survive the Wellness retreat by climbing the Cage and looking out for yourself only.

16. Transformation

At the Marsh Villa go in for dinner and flirt with Dahlia. Drink the wine and when you awake in the Sacrificial Loft choose the following:
-Makes you aroused.
-Take me right here on the floor.
-Writhe around on the floor looking sensual.
-Did I mean nothing to you.
-After all you lied and kidnapped me.
-Confess your love.
-Let’s run away together.
-Nothing has to happen today.
-Scream.
-Fire a warning shot.

Page 3 (Endings 17 - 24)


17. Yith we can!

While at the Lighthouse, pick up the cube from the top level.

18. It’s the New Economy, stupid!

While at the Arcade, play the first-person shooter called Maison of the Unliving. Get in line and say nothing. Watch and keep watching the intro. You will find Dahlia’s daughter and bring her to the address in the photo. Wait for as long as it takes. Try to distract the man. At the Sacrificial Cave you will need to agree with Gary, suggest that everyone go home, say no to him, and then go berserk. Tell him you see no proof and that they get down to business. Explain modern management theory to Gary.

19. A bad feeling

Make it out of Innsmouth alive after having a nightmare and sleeping in your room at the Gilman Hotel.

20. Nightmare

While you are sleeping at the Gilman Hotel you will have a nightmare. Do not look at the monster.

21. Black Widow

At the Marsh Villa drink the wine at dinner and while in the Sacrificial Loft ask for mercy.

22. Sinking Feeling

While in the Sacrificial Cave, when given the dagger to sacrifice someone, throw the dagger into the abyss.

23. Final Destination

Arrive in Innsmouth and waste time by not talking to anyone you do not need to. Do not go to the Hotel during the daytime. Go to the Town Square and go to the fountain. Sit by yourself and then leave as soon as you can. Next go into City Hall, sit down, get up, and only look around. Go to the Police Station and only look around. Go to the Arcade and do not play any games and do not find Dahlia’s daughter. By this time it will be nightfall and you will go to the Gilman Hotel. Look around and then leave the hotel. When you are heading back into town, you are confronted by the townspeople, cover your face, say you were going for a walk and that you are Isaac. Next, choose:
-Join the Dagon Church group.
-Check your disguise.
-Remain silent.
-Warn the tourists.
-Fake a heart attack.
-Try to walk. (any choices for the signs.)
-Run faster out of Innsmouth.

24. Broken Chains

Take the Bus to Innsmouth and make friends with Jonah (see BFF trophy description). Go to the Town Square>Police Station and make sure that you get arrested and thrown into the Jail Cell (Dungeon). From the Jail Cell try to attack the Police Guard and Jonah will come to your rescue. Ask him for help and then escape by jumping down into the sewer.

Page 4 (Endings: 25 - 27)


25. Sleeping with the Fishes

While at the Brothel choose Coy.

26. Innocence

Help Ethel in her garden and do not be curious about the bag. Wake up and leave Innsmouth.

27. Dagon’s Embrace

In the Sacrificial Cave disagree with Gary, be impatient, and let yourself be sacrificed.

Pain in the…
Annoyed Dahlia to death.

You need to do and say everything that will Dahlia get upset with you.

You need to:

1. Throw up in your desk when you see how daughters’ photo. Keep persisting that something is wrong with her daughter.
2. Find her daughter in the Arcade and return for dinner at the Marsh Villa.
3. When offered the wine, let it breathe.
4. Tell her how beautiful she looks and tell her completely about being a vegan.
5. When you awake in the Sacrifice Loft, make light of the situation, bargain for her to make it quick and ask her what you did wrong.

Dahlia spared your life

2. Take the daughter to her home and go inside for dinner.
3. Do not drink the wine and compliment her.

Welcome to the Hotel Massachusetts
Survived a night in the Gilman Hotel.

When you arrive at Innsmouth Town Limits, choose to go to the Gilman Hotel. Go to the main entrance and get to the reception. Get a room for the night, go to your room, and rest. When you dream, look over your shoulder and look at the monster. When you wake up, look out your window and barricade the door, and then sleep.

Karma
Wrongdoings have consequences.

Be mean towards Dahlia. Throw up at the sight of the photo of her daughter and ask her what is wrong with her daughter. Choose the Park and Ride by deciding to hitchhike to Innsmouth. Harass the little girl that asks you questions at the Park and Ride. Take the ride with the George and Ellen and mention why you are going to Innsmouth. Pretend to be deaf. Decide not to pay the couple for the ride and throw sand at them. Go to the Town Square>The Alleys>Arcade. Find the girl and take her to the address that is on the photo of the girl. Do not listen to what the girl is saying and wait outside this house as long as possible. Try to walk past the man that finally appears.

Vegan, by the way
Mentioned your vegan lifestyle 3 times.

You need to tell and say why you are vegan to at least 3 people that you meet in one playthrough.

There are these options in the game that you can came across:
1. To tell Dahlia in her house at dinner in Marsh Villa to avoid drinking the wine.
2. Tell the guy that you sit beside while riding the bus to Innsmouth.
3. In the Alleys go to Joe’s Pizza and Burgers and tell him.
4. While in the Sacrificial Cave you can tell the High Priest.

Strong-Willed
Didn’t touch the cube in the lighthouse.

Go to the Harbour>Lighthouse and continue going all the way to the top room. Look closely at the cube, but do not take it.

Ancient Spice
Slept with Priscilla

Travel to the Innsmouth Town Limits, and when Muriel greets you here, you need to choose:

1. Actually I’m looking for someone.
2. Say hello to Muriel.
3. Keep flirting with her. She will tell you about The Wet Grotto where the Brothel is located. (Go to the Harbour>The Wet Grotto>Do not give up and walk down the stairs to get the Brothel.)
4. Choose Priscilla from the list of people.

History Lesson
Discovered fragments from Innsmouth’s history.

You will need to go to the Harbour>the Church. You need to get involved in the conversation and use the townspeople’s religious teachings to end their argument. Next enter the Church and inspect the paintings.

I Want To Believe – The I Files
Found a couple of weird City Hall records.

You need to go to the Town Hall from the Town Square. Wander around the building and then go into an empty office. Open one of the files that you find here.

Is this the bathroom?
Snooped through the Marsh Family records.

Find Dahlia’s daughter and return her to the Marsh Villa. Go inside for dinner and do not drink the wine. Instead, intentionally spill the wine, and then you will be able to enter other areas of the house. Choose to snoop around and follow the corridor down the hallway and enter the study. Open the files, look at the map, and then leave the study.

Not On My Watch
Overpowered the gawper.

Go to the Town Square and then go to the Fountain. Sit by the family and watch them. Approach the shady figure and be direct and from the front while responding. Quickly rush around the corner and throw yourself against him. Go for his throat and punch him.

Wall of the Weird
Snooped through an abandoned hotel room.

Go to the Gilman Hotel during the daytime and get a room by going to the reception. While you are going to your room, look around, and when you find a key, then choose to look for the door that matches it. Go into this room and look at as many items inside as possible.

It must be a mask
Slept with a fish creature.

Go to the Harbour>the Beach>Beach Bar and sit on a deckchair while avoiding sitting with others. You will fall asleep, and when you awake it will be nighttime. You need to walk along the Beach towards the light. Watch, and then join in to have an encounter with the creature.

One Night Stand
Spent a night with Dahlia.

At the start of the game when Dahlia enters your office, you need to blush, kiss her hand, flirt with her, compliment her eyes, and go for the jugular.

Played a creepy Arcade Game.

You will go to the Arcade and choose to play the retro machine games. Choose Pixelbius and keep playing it continuously.

By Any Means Necessary
Seduced Ethel.

You need to avoid finding Dahlia’s daughter and go to locations where you can pass time until it is nightfall. You will not be able to enter the Gilman Hotel at night if you never went there during the daytime. Avoid the townspeople by hiding in the shadows and knocking on doors until you find Ethel. Talk with her by flirting so that you can go into her house and eventually be able to sleep with her.

Savior
Saved from the stake.

Follow the “Penny Pincher” trophy description and then continue here. Do not find Dahlia’s daughter by going to locations where you can pass the time until nightfall. Go to the Gilman Hotel and since you will not be able to enter it, leave and go back to the town. Allow the townspeople to identify you and follow the choices where you do not ask for help and tell them how much you like them and their town.

Hard Truths
Traumatized Evelyn.

Follow the “One Night Stand” trophy description. Find her daughter and take her to the Marsh Villa. Do not drink the wine and then compliment her on how stunning she looks. Tell her that you want take her right now and agree to marry her. Do small talk with her as you go to the Sacrificial Cave. Ask her if she knows the woman that is the High Priest. Agree to carry out the sacrifice, but throw the dagger into the abyss. Say oopsy daisy and try to sneak out of the cave. Then leave on your own and tell the daughter the whole truth.
