Welcome to the trophy guide for Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Follow us on twitter for the latest news and giveaways.
Stage 1 – 3 playthroughs
It’s advised to do 3 playthroughs of the game. The first one will be on “Jack” or Samurai. Once done, you’ll have a bunch of upgrades and knowledge of the game. Now do a playthrough on “Master Samurai” mode. Doing the second playthrough will allow you to clean up any collectibles and farm up enough resources to fully upgrade the skill tree.
The third and final playthrough is on “Master of Masters” Difficulty, which unlocks after beating all levels on “Master Samurai”. The “Master of Masters” isn’t for the weak and will provide a real challenge. The early levels are do-able, but the following levels are tough.
Stage 2 – Unlock all items
There are 3 trophies related to finding stuff;
1) Find all Weapons
2) Find all Items
3) Destroy all collectibles
Weapons can be stolen from enemies with the fist equipped. Make sure you have unlocked the “Throw” ability in the Physical skill tree. 99% of the weapons can be found, bought or stolen from enemies. There are 3 rare weapons:
Cave of the Ancient:
Great Samurai Warrior’s Sword
In the open area (2D) with firetraps spitting from the wall. Take the path down the right hallway, there is a breakable wall you can destroy with an explosive arrow.
Destroy it, then destroy another wall on the floor. Drop down and destroy the statue. Make your way back up, there is a chest.
Ancient King’s Mace
While killing the final boss, he’ll drop on his knees when almost killed. Equip your fist and press R1 to grab him. He’ll die and you’ll take away his weapon. ONLY WORKS WITH FISTS EQUIPPED.
Aku City
Josephine’s Parasol
At the end of the level, you’ll encounter a girl with a green parasol as a weapon. Weaken her enough and you’ll be able to steal her weapon. ONLY WORKS WITH FISTS EQUIPPED.
Items can be bought in all shops and be found in chests. Keep an eye out for “Prayer Beads” in the shop, as these count as items too. The further you progress, the more become available at the merchant.
All collectibles are listed within the “Pack Rat” trophy.
Trophies

Back to the Past
Fulfill all in-game accomplishments

Tattered and Torn
Finish a stage with under 10% health
Can be easily done on the first level on the easiest (Jack) difficulty. Just let the Scotsman hit you. When you are almost dead, active the Kiai attack and you’ll one-shot the Scotsman.

My Mission is Righteous
Complete all stages on Master of Masters difficulty
Master of Masters difficulty is unlocked after beating the game on “Master Samurai”. You’ll need to beat all levels on that difficulty.
Before you attempt it:
– Fully upgrade all skills
– Always buy potions/revives
– Have plenty ranged weapons
– Parrying at the perfect time will give you a huge advantage

Big Bank Takes Little Bank
Collect 100,000 gold
Collect a total of 100.000 gold. Good ways to gain gold are:
1. Kill enemies
2. Destroy crates / Open chests
3. Take away guns with the “Throw” ability. Make sure you have the fists equipped, otherwise it doesn’t work. Sell them once you reach the merchant
4. Sell Jewels
5. Complete levels without using items/dying

I Have Nothing to Fear
Defeat 1,000 enemies.
Defeat a total of 1.000 enemies. You should easily hit this number, as 3 playthroughs are required.

Aku’s Last Stand or Die
Trying
Complete Aku’s Tower on Master of Masters difficulty
Aku’s Tower is the final mission that has you fight against Aku himself.
Before reaching Aku, you’ll need to battle many enemies in order to progress through the tower. It’s best to use your Kiai attack when a lot of enemies have spawned. Killing them will allow you to refill the Kiai charges quickly.
Upon reaching Aku, you can damage him with any sword or ranged attack. Make sure to dodge his attacks, such as the fireballs and spikes.
Throwing Reapers seems to stagger Aku, allowing a quick and easy victory (Look towards the end of the video)

Ship of Nightmares or Die Trying
Complete Prison Ship on Master of Masters difficulty
Before reaching the final boss, you’ll encounter the Lazarus monsters twice (giant garbage/leeches). They can be defeated by using the little bombs found throughout the level.
The final boss is perhaps one of the easiest in the game. He doesn’t deal that much damage, and his attacks can be dodged/parried easily.

Meet the Family or Die Trying
Complete Snowy Forest on Master of Masters difficulty
The final part is the fight against the ninja ladies. It’s advised to use your fist, bow + explosive arrows. Having them grouped will allow you to deal damage towards all enemies at once.

Crooned his last tune, babe or Die Trying
Complete Ruined City on Master of Masters difficulty
Before reaching the final boss, you’ll need to battle a giant stone creature. A giant hammer will do just great against him.
For the final battle, make sure to kill the little creeps, otherwise the boss won’t show up often. Use a combination of sword attacks and your Kiai attack (Hammer) to quickly kill off enemies. A bow will also do great.

Pains, Trains and Imakandi or Die Trying
Complete Aku City on Master of Masters difficulty
The final part of Aku city has you fighting against a lady and a bird of some kind. Focus on the bird first, as it deals the most damage. The lady can be pretty much ignored.
Note: You can steal Josephine’s Parasol weapon, by pressing the throw button with your fist equipped.

Rest in Pieces or Die Trying
Complete Undead Cemetery on Master of Masters difficulty
The level doesn’t change too much between difficulties, although the final boss can be a pain. It will summon enemies the whole fight and you’ll have trouble targeting her. Try the Kiai attack with your fist to quickly kill off mobs. Ranged attacks are a great way to target the boss. When she lands, try to get in a few hits with your fists or sword.

Answer the Call or Die Trying
Complete Cave Of The Ancient on Master of Masters difficulty
You’ll need to destroy the ancient king. It’s a giant golem like creature that will deal massive blows. Try to dodge those as much as possible. On the sides little creeps will spawn. Kill those to fill up your Kiai gauge.
Towards the end, use the throw attack to steal his weapon (Ancient King’s Mace)

Defeat Your Demons or Die Trying
Complete Boon’s Castle on Master of Masters difficulty
Towards the end you’ll need to face 3 giant beetles.
A spear will deal most damage (given to you before the battle).

Meet The Scotsman or Die Trying
Complete Aku’s Mines on Master of Masters difficulty
The first area consists of blue caterpillars. A bit further into the stage, when entering the water area with houses, you’ll encounter the midboss with the blue cape.
Against the Scotsman, use the following weapons:
Magic sword
Kaiken (throwable weapon)
Also make sure you have saved up your specials powers (Kiai) to unleash extra damage!

Prepared for Anything
