Welcome to the trophy guide for Takotan (Octonaut). This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Complete the game
The first thing you’ll need to do is enable assist mode. This can be done before selecting a game mode. Make sure it says: “ASSIST: ON”, as shown in the picture below.
Select the “normal” game mode for your playthrough. You will need to play until level 6, which is shown in the picture below. You can’t save or quit in between. This will reset your progress. Reaching level 6 should only take around 30 minutes.
ASSIST MODE: ON 
Play until you complete level 6.
Stage 2 – Diamonds
Diamonds are dropped at random by enemies. You will need to collect a total of 250, with at least:
12 green ones;
12 yellow ones;
12 red ones;
12 purple ones;
12 violet ones.
A dropped diamond is always green, but will change color when being hit with a bullet.
The sequence of colors are: Green -> Yellow -> Red -> Purple -> Violet -> Green.

Defeat Sticky Treat
Encountered in level 4.
Keep shooting towards its body and the balls floating around it. At a given point it will change color. If it does, it will almost be defeated.
Toy Collector
Mech-Annoyed!
Encountered in level 6
Keep aiming for the eye, while dodging his bullets. Dodging can be done by pressing circle.
Shiny Diamonds
Collect 250 diamonds
You will need to collect a total of 250 diamonds. they can be collecting by going over them with Octo. Make sure to hit them to change their color.
Green Diamonds
Collect 12 green diamonds
Refer to stage 2 for more information on this trophy.
Yellow Diamonds
Collect 12 yellow diamonds
Refer to stage 2 for more information on this trophy.
Red Diamonds
Collect 12 red diamonds
Refer to stage 2 for more information on this trophy.
Purple Diamonds
Collect 12 purple diamonds
Refer to stage 2 for more information on this trophy.
Violet Diamonds
Collect 12 violet diamonds
Refer to stage 2 for more information on this trophy.
Mega fisher
Kill 1.000 enemies
This trophy should pop during your first playthrough towards the end. 1.000 seems much, but enemies often come in groups of 6.
Big Fisher
Kill 500 enemies
Refer to “Mega fisher” for more information on this.
Small Fisher
Kill 50 enemies
Refer to “Mega fisher” for more information on this.
King Krushed
Defeat King Krunky
Encountered in level 2.
You will need to focus on his eye, while dodging the two sand balls. The cloud-streams will hurt you a bit too, but you should have plenty of HP to tank it.
Toy Collector
Collect 30 gashapon capsules
Gashapons are dropped by enemies at random. They are power-ups that can be activated by pressing square. They can change your weapons or make you invulnerable for a short time.
Cake Baker
Collect 20 cakes
Cakes are dropped by enemies at random. They will provide you with HP, so make sure to pick them up at all times.
