Welcome to Lonely Mountains: Downhill! This game is about discovering the most efficient pathways to get down a trail the quickest way possible, with the least amount of crashes (usually) . The entire game is setup in challenges that you will complete to earn the platinum trophy. There are 173 challenges to complete. You will crash a lot and there are trophies related to doing this so be adventurous, take risky jumps, accelerate lots, and aim to take the path less traveled to earn your glorious trophies!

Stage 1 – Play through the challenges on all the mountains until they are completed.

There are 4 mountains, each consisting of 4 trails. Each trail has four different challenge levels in the day time and they follow this general outline:

1. Explore stage to unlock the challenges for that trail.
2. Beginner challenges. These consist of time trials and limited number of crashes to unlock bike parts, paint jobs, and fashion items.
3. Expert challenges. These consist of even more difficult time trials and limited number of crashes to unlock bike parts, paint jobs, and outfits.
4. Free ride challenge is where you must cross the finish line while never crashing as this causes you to restart the entire trail. There are no interval/segment lines for the trail like in the previous 3 stages. This will also unlock the Night Mode challenges for that specific trail. There is an indicator shown that allows you to select either Day or Night Mode for this trail displayed now.

Once Night Mode is unlocked for a trail it will have this general outline:
1. Night Rider where you need to only cross the finish line.
2. Beginner challenge where you can only crash a limited number of times.
3. Free Rider involves you having to cross the finish line in one clean ride. There are no Checkpoint/interval/segment lines for the trail, only the finish line near the campsite.

Once you have completed all of the Beginner challenges for the 4 trails on a specific mountain, then you will have access to the next mountain. Repeat this same process for this mountain until you have all 4 mountains and all 16 trails unlocked.

Some challenges have a required bike in order to complete the challenges. If you do not have the required bike then the challenge will be locked.

Stage 2 – Play through any remaining challenges to complete all 16 trails’ challenges fully.

Finish all the remaining challenges for all 16 trails in the game. This will give you access to all bikes, paint jobs, and outfits. You will also have Night Mode challenges to finish for all the mountain trails too.
