Welcome to the trophy guide for Golf Zero. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Play the game through level 41

Ever wanted to play Super Meat Boy but also really wanted to play golf? While this game is perfect for you! Golf Zero is a mix between a quick level platformer and a “simple” game of golf. Some levels will be more heavily focused on the golfing aspect, while others will be on the platforming. As the levels progress more features will be added, not every level will use every feature, but they will mix and match as needed.

The trophies for this game are very simple, most are “story” related and by getting to level 41 you will complete all but three. Likely, two out of those three will have been completed naturally.

There are two main things to note while playing. The first is that you have three balls each round. Once those three balls are gone (either in the water or stop moving) the level will restart automatically, even if you are still alive. The second is that you can die and still win the level, so long as your golf balls are still in play. In fact, several levels you will have to die in order to win as the jumps/shots are impossible to make without falling into the water or spike. With this in mind, sometimes if a ball is slightly moving after you’ve died it can take 10-15 seconds for the level to restart. If you know you didn’t make the shot or you are stuck due to some aspect of a puzzle you can press triangle to restart the level.

KNOWN GLITCH – As of 10-9-2020 you do not need to play from level 32-40, level 41 is unlocked from the start. It is unknown if this is a glitch or by design as it is the start of a new “section” of levels. This may be patched in the future, however for now, it will cut off about 10 minutes of your time towards the platinum. (Credit to |Bad Driver| for figuring this out).

 Next Time
Die the first time

Due to the nature of the game you will likely die 5-10 times on almost every level. So this will come naturally over the course of play.

If for some reason you want to get this trophy as quick as possible, you can fall in the water shortly after the start of the tutorial and the trophy will pop.

Complete the first level.

Technically the first level is not the first level. You will play a few tutorial levels before actually completing level one. However, level one is extremely simple to complete and is built to help you get used to the mechanics of the game.

The trophy will pop as soon as soon as you beat the level.

 Hole in Hole in one
Get gold and use only one ball in level 9.

Essentially the only trophy you may miss through your normal playthrough and may have to go back to get.

Level 9 is a fairly simple map, you will want to jump past the first set of spikes and in-between the second. While falling start to aim your shot towards the balloon and fire one ball. This will pop the balloon and due to the shape of the grass it will roll down into the hole. If for some reason you get unlucky and you overshoot or undershoot (or miss the balloon) simply replay the level once or twice and the slight differences in your height/aim will make it so the ball goes in.

Make sure only to shoot one golf ball.

See Gold for more information on the specifics of how to obtain a gold medal. In this case, by hitting the red balloon you will obtain a gold medal.

See the video below for exactly what to do to obtain this trophy.

Get a gold medal.

Getting a gold medal in Golf Zero usually involves one-two additional steps outside of just simply beating the level.

Through levels 1-41 the only two extra objectives you will get are –

  1. Pop the balloon
  2. Beat the level using only one shot.

The first time you are able to obtain this trophy is on the first real level (the first few are tutorials and you are not given a “score”). On level 1-5 it is very easy to obtain the gold medal and you will likely obtain this naturally.

If you are going for the platinum trophy, you will obtain this during your Hole in one level (level 9).

After you have obtained this trophy you do not need to focus on getting a gold in any other level (outside of level 9) and can simply focus on beating the levels.

 Jumping high
Complete the level 6.

Level 6 will add jump springs. These will be used throughout the rest of the game in almost every level.

The trophy will pop as soon as soon as you beat the level.

overcome your first enemy and ccomplete level 7.

Spelling error aside, this trophy will pop so long as you kill the enemy in level 7.

From levels 1-41 you will only encounter one type of enemy, a green slime. The easiest way to defeat these enemies is to jump on their heads.

In a few levels you will actually need to bounce on the slime’s heads in order to beat the level, but for this trophy specifically you’ll need to do it on level 7.

The trophy will pop as soon as soon as you beat the level.

 A Door!
Complete the level 14.

Level 14 will add doors (and switches) to the mix. Only a few levels will use this mechanic past level 14. You can open doors either using your body or by hitting the switch with a golf ball.

In most levels involving doors, it will open the door to the hole.

The trophy will pop as soon as soon as you beat the level.

Copmlete the level 22.

Level 22 will add a boulder that chases you. This will only appear in about 3 levels from 22-41. In all cases the level will see you running as fast as you can away from the rolling boulder.

The trophy will pop as soon as soon as you beat the level.

Complete your first level with a cart.

Carts are added in level 24. Carts can be pushed and jumped into in order to avoid larger traps/help with a larger jump. You will only see this on a few levels from 24-41

The trophy will pop as soon as soon as you beat level 24.

 Almost finished
Complete the level 31

Nothing special gets added in level 31, it is simply a check-mark for progress in the game similar to how a fair amount of Ratalika game trophy lists work.

The trophy will pop as soon as soon as you beat the level.

Complete the level 41.

Level 41 sees you racing a red version of yourself through a course. It is similar to a ghost run in most racing games as touching your opponent doesn’t do anything and will not slow you down. If for some reason you are struggling with the level (although it is almost a carbon copy of an earlier level) you can follow the ghost to see the basic pattern to complete the level.

The trophy will pop as soon as soon as you beat the level.
