Welcome to the trophy guide for G-Darius HD. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4/5 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 0 – Basic gameplay tips


It’s essential that you follow the following tips in order to complete the game easier and score a higher ranking.

1. You can play the game in “G-Darius HD” mode and earn all trophies
2. The Difficulty level can be put on “Super Easy”
3. The unit settings can be put on “6”
4. The Capture ball can be set to “6”

5. Don’t die
It’s important that you keep all of your lives. You’ll need them to get extra points upon completing the game. You’ll get 1 million points for each life, a total of 6 million bonus score.

6. Save & reload often
Use the ingame pause menu to save and reload when you die. This will keep your lives up, together with all of the boosts you picked up along the way.

7. Multipliers (scoring points)
7.1 Capturing enemies and killing other enemies will earn you an x2 multiplier
7.2 Using the A-blast to kill enemies will earn you an x4 multiplier
7.3 Destroying a boss with a double counter beam will give you an x8 multiplier
7.4 Destroying a boss with a triple counter beam will give you an x10 multiplier
7.5 Destroying a boss with a four-fold counter beam will give you an x12 multiplier
7.6 If you kill all enemies in a group (formation) you will get a bonus score.

Zones
Darius uses the Greek Alphabet to indicate their different levels (zones) ingame. Each zone has 2 areas marked with the English Alphabet letters (A-Z & W’ X’ U’ V’)
α = Alpha (A-B)
β = Beta (C-D)
γ = Gamma (E-F)
δ = Delta (G-H)
ε = Epsilon (i – J)
ζ = Zeta (K – L
η = Eta (M – N)
θ = Theta (O – P)
ι = iota (Q – R)
κ = Kappa (S – T)
λ = Lambda (U – V)
μ = Mu (W – X)
ν = Nu (Y – Z)
ξ = Xi (W’ – X’)
ο = Omicron (U’ – V’ )

Stage 2 – Complete the game & capture enemies


For the platinum trophy you’ll need to keep a few things in mind:

1) Scoring 20 million points
2) Capturing all enemies
3) Finding the Yazuka’s
4) Maxing out the 3 power-ups
5) Getting the Four-Fold counter beam.

It’s best if you do 1-2 runs for fun, before getting into any specific trophies (this is calculated into the platinum time for this game). This will get you acquainted with the game

All Trophies
Obtain all trophies.


Capture Count 100%
Complete 100% of the Capture Gallery. Quick Load allowed. Options modifications allowed. 2-Player co-op allowed. Continues allowed. No difficulty level specified.

For this trophy you’ll need to earn the “Common Enemy Capture Count 100%” and “Miniboss Capture Count 100%” trophies. Refer to those trophies for more information on it.


Common Enemy Capture Count 100%
Capture all common enemies. Quick Load allowed. Options modifications allowed. 2-Player co-op allowed. Continues allowed. No difficulty level specified.

Common enemies are all the enemies found in the game, excluding mini-bosses and bosses. Do note that some enemies aren’t capture-able, and those aren’t shown below.

You can view an enemy in the capture gallery and it will show the area where it can be found. Some enemies can be found in multiple zones, while others are only present in a single zone.

It’s possible that an enemy can only be found in a specific area of a zone, for instance, Zone α, Area B. This isn’t indicated in the capture gallery. Refer to the ingame capture gallery to see which enemy you still need to capture.


Miniboss Capture Count 100%

Mini-bosses, also referred to as “Middle Bosses” are only found in specific areas ingame. There are a total of 8, which can be found as shown below:

1. First Captain – Zone α, Area A
2. Queen’s Child – Zone γ
3. Reverse Direction – Zone δ or Zone ε or Zone ζ
4. Gray Stripe – Zone η or Zone θ
5. Tail Blade – Zone ι or Zone κ
6. Unguardian – Zone λ or Zone ο
7. Hard Armament – Zone μ or Zone ξ
8. Dream Tender – Zone ν

Note: Zone β (Beta) does not contain a mini-boss.

In order to capture a mini-boss, you need to destroy the golden head armor before shooting a capture ball.


20 Million
Obtain a score of more than 20 million. Quick Load allowed. Options modifications allowed. 2-Player co-op allowed. Continues allowed. No difficulty level specified.

It’s important that you use the following settings:
Difficulty: Super Easy
Lifes: 6 (max)
Capture balls: 6 (max)

For the 20 million points you’ll need to follow the following path:
α -> γ -> ε -> θ -> μ

α-Zone
Go into Area A and Capture mini boss
Hold fire until you switch sides with the boss, now counter the β-beam with an α-beam. Roughly 1.87 million points after completing this zone.

γ-Zone
This zone is a bit different. You can only pick the E/F area towards the end when you approach the bossfight.
Select Area E and continue your adventure. During the boss fight, capture the mini-boss called “Queen’s Child”.
As the boss throws the armor plates towards you, he will shortly after fire an β-beam laser towards you. Counter it with an α-beam and get the four-fold bonus. Roughly 4.24 million points after completing this zone.

ε-Zone
Capture mini boss. Go into Zone i.
Double α-beam on the boss while countering his β-beam (twice).
Roughly 6.86 million points after completing this zone.

θ-Zone
Pick up the 1UP (around the pyramid, bottom part, A-beam can reveal it)
Capture mini-boss. Zo into area P.
Double α-beam on the boss while countering his β-beam.
Roughly 10.1 million points after completing this zone.

μ-Zone
Capture mini-boss. Go into area w.
Roughly 12.3 million points after completing this zone.


Multipliers (scoring points)
1.1.1 Capturing enemies and killing other enemies will earn you an x2 multiplier
1.1.2 Using the A-blast to kill enemies will earn you an x4 multiplier
1.1.3 Destroying a boss with a double counter beam will give you an x8 multiplier
1.1.4 Destroying a boss with a triple counter beam will give you an x10 multiplier

Counter
400.000 points for each counter against a boss.

Double Counter
600.000 points for each double counter against a boss.

Triple Counter
800.000 points for each double counter against a boss.

Fourfold Counter

Counter Beam (Four-Fold)
Successfully fire a Counter Beam (Four-Fold). Quick Load allowed. Options modifications allowed. 2-Player co-op allowed. Continues allowed. No difficulty level specified.

For the Four-Fold counter beam you’ll need to fight against the Queen Fossil in Zone γ (Gamma), Area E.

In the clip below the mini-boss Queen’s Child has been captured and is used as an α-Beam against the Queen Fossil. As soon as the boss starts charging the β-beam, start charging your α-Beam and keep holding down the square button.

You will also earn the Single, Double, and Triple counter beam trophies for this.


Captured Miniboss Commander
Successfully input commands for a miniboss. Easy Command not allowed. Quick Load allowed.2-Player co-op allowed. Continues allowed. No difficulty level specified.

For this, you’ll need to capture a mini-boss and use a special input to trigger a secret mini-boss attack. For this trophy, the first mini-boss in the α-zone will be used.

The secret command is D, DF, F + Fire.
This translates to (with the Left Stick (LS)): Down, Down-Forward, Forward (while shooting).

It has to be done in a smooth motion on the left stick. So move the left stick down and rotate it towards the right in one smooth go. The mini-boss will do a flip ingame and fires a special attack.


1UP
Obtain a 1UP Item. Quick Load allowed. Options modifications allowed. 2-Player co-op allowed. Continues allowed. No difficulty level specified.

The 1UP can be found in the θ area. It can be seen below. When you near the pyramid, it’s on the bottom side after destroying all enemies there. Save before you attempt it, as you can reload if you fail to get it.


Stage 5 Clear
