Welcome to the trophy guide for Death Mark. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Follow us on twitter for the latest news and giveaways.

Stage 1 – Complete Chapter 1

Death Mark is a rather straight forward trophy list with it’s entirety being story related. There are 2 endings for each chapter and 2 for the end of the game though, so it does require either A) a 2nd playthrough or B) well placed saves. The guide below will guide you through the game, explain what to do, and use saves to do it all in a single playthrough as to not miss anything.

Note: Sometimes a character will not matter for chapters (though often they do) and it will affect the inventory you use in boss fights. An example of this in Chapter 3 is using the Baseball Bat or The Handgun. Following the guide is recommended but if you choose to stray make sure to adjust for that.

Stage 2 – Complete Chapter 2

Stage 3 – Complete Chapter 3

Stage 4 – Complete Chapter 4

Stage 5 – Complete Chapter 5

Stage 6 – Complete Chapter 6

Trophies

 Death Mark
Looking forward to more terror descending upon you who has overcome all fear.

Vita: You’ll obtain this after completing all 28 trophies throughout the first 5 chapters.

PS4: You’ll obtain this after completing all 31 trophies in all 6 chapters.

The difference between the VITA and the PS4 editions is the trophy values, and the PS4 has chapter 6 related trophies.

 Miss Zoo Saved
Witnessed Miss Zoo’s madness come to an end.

Miss Zoo is the spirit for Chapter 4. To save Miss Zoo you have to make sure that instead of attacking and destroying her, you destroy Aizen Asura’s Charm with the Matches instead at the end of the battle.

 Red Riding Hood Saved
Witnessed Red Riding Hood’s sorrowful sentiment come to an end.

Red Riding Hood is the spirit of the 6th Chapter. Saving Red Riding Hood is a matter of correct choices during the Live or Die battle. During the 5th question, you’ll want to tell her ‘We met too late.’.

 Good Ending
Frightened by the final showdown, but hopeful for the future.

The Good Ending in Death Mark is achieved when you manage to save all the spirits of the first 5 chapters. Saving the spirits means none of the mark bearers will die. Refer to the guide above to find out how to save all the spirits.

 Kannon Soldier Saved
Witnessed the Kannon Soldier come to a touching end.

The Kannon Soldier is the spirit of the 5th Chapter. Unlike some of the earlier chapters spirits where the items used in the fight determine the ending, this ending is based on the epilogue of the battle. During the epilogue you’ll have a choice on where to stab the Kannon Soldier. There are multiple choices, 1 leading to saving the soldier, 1 to destroying it, and the rest ends in your demise. For saving the soldier you’ll want to stab it in the right ear.

 Hanayome Saved
Witnessed Hanayome’s thoughts and feelings come to an end.

Hanayome is the spirit of the 3rd Chapter. The outcome of saving or destroying Hanayome is based on the location you choose to battle Hanayome. For the saving her you’ll have to choose where you first met the dog, which is T Mountain.

 End of Chapter 6
Learned of the repulsive deeds that gave rise to Red Riding Hood.

Automatic story progression for completing Chapter 6. Chapter 6 is more akin to a ‘bonus’ chapter really, as the good ending will come after chapter 5.

Take note that Chapter 6 trophies are unique to the PS4 version of Death Mark only.

 End of Chapter 4
Learned the insane history of Miss Zoo.

Automatic story progress for completing Chapter 4.

 Red Riding Hood Destroyed
Witnessed Red Riding Hood’s poisonous demise.

Red Riding Hood is the spirit of the 6th Chapter. Destroying Red Riding Hood is a matter of correct choices during the Live or Die battle. During the 5th question, you’ll want to tell her ‘Extremely Attractive.’.

 Shimi-O Saved
Witnessed Shimi-O’s heartbreaking wish come to an end.

Shimi-O is the spirit of the 2nd Chapter. Instead of permanently putting him to sleep, you’ll need to release him. This is done by using the Honey and Plant Root at the end of the battle.

 Normal Ending
Frightened by the final showdown and the resulting fate.

The normal ending to Death Mark is obtained when you fail to save any of the spirits. Failure to save any of the spirits will result in a death of a Mark Bearer. A Mark Bearers death will lock you into the normal ending.

 End of Chapter 5
Learned the history of the Kannon Soldier and the underground shelter.

Automatic progression of the story for completing Chapter 5. Chapter 5 is the final chapter for the main story. There is a chapter 6, akin to a bonus chapter, required for the PS4 version though.

 Hanayome Destroyed
Witnessed Hanayome’s regretful demise.

Hanayome is the spirit of the 3rd Chapter. Hanayome is a peculiar one as it’s not what happens in the battle but where the battle happens that determines the ending. You’ll need to choose the location where you first met the dog, which happens to be T Mountain.

 Kannon Soldier Destroyed
Witnessed the Kannon Soldier’s loathing demise.

The Kannon Soldier is the spirit of the 5th Chapter. The end of the spirit is determined by the post-battle choice not what happens during battle. After that battle you’ll have a choice on where to stab the soldier. Be careful as 1 leads to saving, 1 leads to destroying, and the others lead to your death. To destroy the soldier you’ll want to stab it Between the Eyes.

 Mary and the Black Rabbit
Frightened by the mysterious tragedy that took place at Kujou Mansion.

Automatic story progression, there is an event that takes place during the 4th Chapter that will earn you this.

 Hanahiko Saved
Witnessed Hanahiko’s intense spite come to an end.

Hanahiko is the spirit of the 1st Chapter. Saving Hanahiko is based on your battle choices. Instead of burning him alive, you’ll want to accept Hanahiko. This is done by first choosing to use (at the end) Salt Water + Lipstick followed by Round Hand Mirror + Girl’s Slippers. (Some of the battle items can be interchanged but this is a guaranteed combination.)

 Miss Zoo Destroyed
Witnessed Miss Zoo’s raging demise.

Miss Zoo is the spirit of the 4th Chapter. Destroying her is a matter of finishing her off in battle rather then release her. At the battles end choose Megaphone + Hatchet.

 Mark Bearer
Frightened by the existence of Mark Bearers who share the same fate.

In Death Mark you’ll meet different Mark Bearers every chapter. These are people who share different Death Marks inflicted by different spirits. You’ll get this trophy after choosing your first partner in Chapter 1.

 Soul Power
Frightened by a talisman that holds Soul Power.

In Death Mark you’ll come across Live or Die scenarios that need Soul Power. This Soul Power is replenished every chapter, by answering fast, or finding worn-out talismans. For this trophy you’ll need to find one of these talismans. There are many littered throughought every chapter, you’ll easily come across some by yourself. If not, refer to the guide above for some of the locations.

 Deadly Choice
Frightened by the choice of advancing death.

Advancing death in this case is an event at the beginning of Chapter 1. You’ll encounter your first Live or Die scenario, surviving that earns you this trophy.

 The Fifth Spirit
Frightened by the elusive Kannon Soldier and the Mark.

The Kannon Soldier is the spirit of the 5th Chapter. At the end of the underground lab you’ll disturb the Kannon Soldier by inspecting all the statues and the iron box.

 Hanahiko Destroyed
Witnessed the burning demise of Hanahiko’s grudge.

Hanahiko is the spirit of the 1st Chapter. Destroying Hanahiko is a matter of destroying the spirit itself instead of accepting it. Doing so requires you to use Salt Water + Flare at the end of the battle.

 The First Spirit
Frightened by the creeping Hanahiko and the Mark.

Hanahiko is the spirit of the 1st Chapter. Hanahiko will come after you for investigating the school and getting all the bulletin board information too.

 End of Chapter 3
Learned of the strange bond between Hanayome and her fiance.

Automatic story progression for completing chapter 3.

 Kujou Mansion
Frightened by the realization of inescapable death.

The realization of inescapable death is an automatic event that happens during Chapter 1. This will be the first trophy you earn.

 The Third Spirit
Frightened by Hanayome advancing and the Mark.

Hanayome is the spirit of the 3rd Chapter. You’ll need to uncover the truth of the dog and find the cassette tapes for Hanayome to come after you.

 End of Chapter 2
Learned the ghastly history of Shimi-O and the Honey Bee Family.

Automatic story progression for completing chapter 2.

 Shimi-O Destroyed
Witnessed Shimi-O’s dissolving demise.

Shimi-O is the spirit of the 2nd Chapter. Destroying him is refusing him release, you’ll have to put him to sleep for this. At the end of the fight you’ll need to use Lg Btl of Nite Nite + Lg Btl Sweet Dreams.

 The Second Spirit
Frightened by the looming Shimi-O and the Mark.

Shimi-O is the spirit of the 2nd Chapter. After you make it far enough into the forest you’ll find different sets of bee boxes. One of these bee boxes you look inside of will be a trigger to seeing Shimi-O.

 End of Chapter 1

Automatic story progression for completing chapter 1.

 The Fourth Spirit
