Welcome to the trophy guide for 428: Shibuya Scramble. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.
Follow us on twitter for the latest news and giveaways.
Stage 1 – Reach the True Ending.
428: Shibuya Scramble is a large VN with a lot of choices and multi-tasking and switching around stories constantly. It can be quite a task to do without a guide, but to make light of it all follow along below. The way this will be written is mostly story progression, occasionally picking up a dead end on the way. After completion of a time block, you’ll wrap up the remaining bad ends for that block. Bad Ends are needed not only for trophies, but at certain amounts and particular endings you will net items needed for special stories. Unfortunately due to the nature and complexity of some ending requirements a lot of the endings in this walkthrough come from prior choices. If you are missing some bad endings or are unsure of how to obtain them, refer to the respective block for all the ending tips. Due to the complex nature of choices a lot of the trophies will contain story changes that follow-up from the walkthrough below. If you are following the trophies below alone in post-game without regards to the walkthrough, make sure to reset your timeline to being complete before attempting them to not hit any errors.
Note: 428: Shibuya Scramble does not come with text skip. You can hold X to progress text slightly faster but that’s it. The saving grace here is in 90% of scenario’s, you can timeline and change stories immediately after a choice making it quick and easy to swap stories around. You can also press down on the directional pad and sometimes skip through pre-seen stories and jump to texts though not always available.

Stage 2 – Post-Game Content
Now that you’re done the main story with both endings and all the bad endings, all that’s left is the special content you unlocked and will further unlock. The first 3 you will unlock is the Quiz, White Bookmark and Black Bookmark.
First to knockdown will be completing the Special Episodes. Refer to ‘Shibuya Side Stories’ for more details on this.
The ‘Shibuya Side Stories’ will end with you doing Suzune’s story for ‘Heartbeat of Spring’ due to it containing the final Special Episode.
You will then need to watch Canaan’s story for ‘The Solitary Serpent’ trophy.
After watching both stories you’re bookmarks will change allowing you then to view the Mean Clean scenario, refer to ‘The Three R’s’ for more information.
Mean Clean’s scenario will reward you with a Golden Bookmark which in turn allows you to access the conspiracy scenario.
To access the Conspiracy Scenario refer to ‘Cry for Help’ for more details. Viewing the conspiracy scenario will alter one of Mean Clean’s scenario’s implementing a new tip to access the True Conspiracy scenario.
Refer to ‘They Walk Among Us’ for more details on the True Conspiracy. After completing the True Conspiracy you will also net the platinum, congratulations!

The Worst is Over
View all bad endings.
There are a grand total of 85 endings, a rather large amount that takes a lot of effort to uncover them all. Luckily they’re all detailed in the walkthrough above or all the tips (minus the 18:00 Block) are listed in their respective blocks trophies. This will come when you earn all the Bad Times, XX:XX Block trophies (XX:XX being the time the block takes place).

The Solitary Serpent
Finish the “Canaan” scenario.
Canaan’s scenario requires you to have obtained the Black Bookmark. This bookmark is unlocked when you have seen the True Ending to the game, refer to the stages above on how to unlock the True Ending.
When you do have the Black Bookmark, from the Character Selection screen (Not the timeline) press R1 to access the bonus section where you can view Canaan’s scenario. Sit back and enjoy it too as there are no choices to be made just like in Suzune’s scenario.

Final Curtain
View the true ending.
The True Ending is an altered ending that gives closure to a lot more characters of the story. You’ll see the alterations to the character endings or more detailed character endings by viewing an epilogue made through very specific choices. You’ll first need to witness the normal ending then you can achieve this ending. Refer to the stages above to see how to unlock the True Ending (At the bottom of the 18:00 – 20:00 Block).

The Three R`s
Finish the “Mean Clean” scenario.
The Mean Clean scenario has quite a few prerequisites, you must earn the following trophies:
~The Worst is Over, The End?, Final Curtain, Heartbeat of Spring, and The Solitary Serpent.
When you’ve done all of the above your White and Black Bookmarks will change to include Suzune’s and Canaan’s marks:

If your bookmarks reflect the same as above you’ll be able to access the new tips within the main story.

As soon as he starts speaking, rotate your right analog counter-clockwise slowly (About 1 roatation per second) until you see like 5 or 6 static screens then the screen will go black. This is a huge pain. A few things to watch out for:
~If you saw no static screens and he is done speaking, you missed the opportunity so you’ll need to restart at Option B.
~If you saw some static screens and he is done speaking without you reaching the black screen, you missed the opportunity so you’ll need to restart at Option B.

Now read the story for a few minutes and Big Joe and Flaps will unscrew Mean Cleans lid and the screen will sparkle. Be prepared, after this sparkling the screen will fade black and then back to live-action. Once it returns to the sidewalk and the text starts appearing input: Right, Left, Up, Down.
