Styx: Blades of Greed Trophy Guide

Overqualified
Acquire every upgrade in the game.

There are 3 different sets of upgrades to acquire in the game. The first two sets of upgrades will require you to earn XP from absorbing quartz, collecting the XP bags scattered in the various levels of the game, and/or collecting emblems that are scattered in the various levels of the game. For the last upgrades you will need to find enough blueprints that are scattered through the various levels of the game and then use the blueprints to buy all of the upgrades. You will need to get all of these upgrades before going into the end game of the story as there is no way to go back. See the pictures below for more information.

Complete the game.

You will earn this trophy once you have completed the game.

Emblem Collector
Collect every thief emblems.

There are 100 emblems to collect in the game. The emblems are only in the first two worlds: The Wall and the Turquoise Dawn. They are divided evenly with 5 different colour sets with 10 in each set. Therefore, there are 50 emblems in The Wall and 50 emblems in the Turquoise Dawn. The level maps for locating these emblems is not very helpful at all as nearly everything looks the same, however you can use your amber vision to see (highlight in blue/purple). There are various YouTube videos that show you from the start of a level and how to locate each emblem. It is recommended to use these like the one below.

Sacrilege
Vomit in Lyssril’s altar.

You can only earn this trophy during the mission “The Reunion Rubble” in Akenbash Ruins. When you get near the end of the level, you will overhear Lyssril talk to some soldiers in this room. You will need to kill the two soldiers when you can and then have Styx throw up in Lyssril’s altar to poison it. See the pictures for more information.

I’ll take the stairs
Get the Garrison Quartz without using the elevator.

You will need to get to the top of the Garrison without using the elevator during the mission called The Garrison Job. To do this you will need to go up the stairs on the right side when facing where the elevator is located. You will go up sets of stairs, through rooms, down hallways, claim ledges on the outside of the building to enter windows and openings to continue to ascend the building and make it to the top of the Garrison.

Fade to black
Mind control an enemy dying from poison.

You will need to have unlocked the upgrade called mind control in order to perform it. Then you will need to poison (throw up) into the drinking water container or on the food platter without being spotted or altering the guard(s) in this area. Next hide in the area and watch the guard that will eventually go to take a drink/eat the poisoned item. After a few seconds you can then perform the mind control ability on this enemy. If the guard(s) never drinks/eats the poisoned item then you will need to reload or try it again in another area.

Let them eat brioche
Loot the piece of brioche in the Zeppelin.

You will need to be in Styx’s room on the Zeppelin between the real life time of 4:00 – 5:00 on any given Friday. You can save your game when back on the Zeppelin and then manually change your time/date on your PS5 and then reload your save. You will know that you have done this correctly when you look in the open dresser of Styx’s, you will see brioche (bread) on one of the shelves inside the dresser. You will need to change Styx’s clothes or blade in order for you to loot the piece of brioche. See the picture below for more information.

Born to kill
Kill 100 enemies.

You will need to kill 100 enemies with any means necessary (push them off a ledge, kill them with your blade, poison them, drop things on them, etc.) to earn this trophy.

Taxi please
Unlock every wharf available in Iseria.

You will need to unlock all of the wharves in each of the 3 levels of the game. Some of the wharves are easy to unlock by killing guards to secure one while others will require you to use Styx’s abilities and equipment that he obtains during the progression of the story. For example you may need to use the glider or the grapple hook to access more remote and obscure locations for the wharves. If you need any assistance on how to unlock any of them, it is highly recommended to use YouTube to find the specific one(s) that you need to unlock.

Party pooper
Stun 5 enemies with a single clone decoy’s cloud.

You will need the upgrades: clone decoy, last exhale, poisonous cloud, increased cloud range. Next you will need to be in an area that has a high amount of enemies. You will need to get the attention of many enemies and then coordinate it so that you have at least 5 that are in a close area to one another. Then you will need to perform a single clone decoy at the enemies and then you can move away.

Relic hunter
Collect all the relics.

There are 10 relics to collect in the game. You will be given these crew (side) missions by Helledryn and are called Helledryn’s Score. There will be 5 of these missions for you to collect the relics and it is recommended that you complete each side mission before finishing an act.

Rioter
Kill an enemy with a glass bottle throw.

Use an enemy like an archer as they will move away from you and this way you can hit them with your blade a couple of times to weaken them. Then move back from them. Next you will target this enemy’s head and use a glass bottle to kill them.

Can’t touch this
Perform 25 perfect dodges.

During Act 1, you will get your dagger and be taught how to perform a perfect dodge. Most basic enemies will charge towards Styx so these will be the enemies that you will want to focus on performing this with. When the enemy raises his sword and is going to strike, you will see a burst of air and hear a cue that this is the time for you to dodge backwards. If you do this perfectly you will then be able to counter this a kill immediately. Do this 25 times to earn this trophy.

Rune scalper
Collect all the runes.

Eventually you will meet Wren and she will introduce runes to you. She will give you a crew (side) mission each act afterwards for you to collect some runes. The missions are called The Lost Runes of Turquoise Dawn and there is 4 of them. There are 13 runes to collect in the game. When searching for runes, you can equip some runes to make it easier to find other runes and collectibles which will help in finding them all such as the deer, raven, and bear.

These specific runes will:
Deer – highlights runes through walls with amber vision

Raven – thief emblems are highlighted by the amber vision through walls

Bear – when looting materials and loot bags you get more resources.

When you use Styx’s amber vision runes will be highlighted in blue/purple and emit a sound cue when close to them. After finding some for Wren, she will give you the ability to equip more until you reach the maximum of having 3 equipped at one time. You can change which ones you have installed depending on what/where you are in the story. See the picture below for more information.

My first upgrade
Acquire your first upgrade.

See Overqualified for more information. You will need to earn enough XP so that you have your first skill point or have a blueprint and then you unlock any of the possible upgrades in the game.

Meet the gang
Have 3 clones alive at the same time.

You will need to have the following upgrades: clone decoy, clone throw, and three of us. It is recommended to put them into your equipped ability wheel so that you can quickly perform this so all 3 clones are alive at the same time. You will need to find 2 enemies that are relatively close together. You will use the clone throw on both of the enemies’ heads. Then you will need to switch your ability to clone decoy and use it. You will have 3 clones alive at the same time.

Wasn’t me
Trick enemies into thinking they got rid of you.

After an enemy has become aware of Styx and is going to start attacking Styx, you will need to find a hiding place without the enemy finding you. You will earn this trophy after the enemy has searched and they will eventually stop as they think that they have gotten rid of you.

Looking for my kneecaps
Barely survive a fall.

You will need to have full or close to full health and then jump and land on something that is a far drop. Styx must survive the fall and his health must be minimal to earn this trophy.

You see, he’s just a goblin
Suffer damages while goblin reflexes are active.

You will need to have the goblin reflexes ability and after activating it, you will need Styx to jump off a high area and fall to land and survive. This will cause Styx to suffer damage while his goblin reflexes ability is active.

Booby trap
Have 5 enemies trigger an acid trap.

You will need to have the following upgrades: acid vial, acid vial crafting recipe, and acid trap crafting recipe. Once you have the ability to make acid traps, you will need to collect all the necessary materials. Finally, you will need to set up the acid trap and then have an enemy trigger it by going over top of it. Do this 5 times to earn this trophy.

Act 2
Complete act 2.

We’ll be right back
Respawn in your cocoon.

You will need to have the cocoon crafting recipe from the upgrade menu unlocked. Inside any level of the game you can use your ability to make a cocoon. Next play through the level and you will need to be killed by an enemy or kill Styx by jumping from a high distance. Once he dies, he will respawn close to where he died.

Tutorial enjoyer
Complete the tutorial in the mines.

After completing the Prologue of the story you will need to choose to take the tutorial when you first leave the hideout in The Wall. Helledryn will tell you that you should do the tutorial first. The tutorial will go through all of the moves, skills, and abilities that you currently have unlocked at the beginning of the game.

My brother Clarence
Mind control a clone decoy.

You will need to have the following abilities: clone decoy and mind control. You will start by using a clone decoy to make a clone and then switch to the mind control ability. Use the mind control ability on your clone decoy to earn this trophy.

Intrusive thoughts
Push 10 enemies into the void.

You will need to sneak up on any enemy that is close to the edge of a ledge. You will be able to push them to their death if there is a prompt showing you can push them. Do this 10 times to earn this trophy.

Let me cook
Throw a clone into Wren’s cauldron.

When Wren is settled in on the zeppelin, she will have her cauldron on one of the lower decks of the ship. You will need to have the clone decoy and clone throw abilities to make and throw a clone. You will earn this trophy when you are at Wren’s cauldron by throwing a clone at her cauldron and when it disappears into the cauldron.

Not like us
Kill every type of goblins.

There are 3 types of goblins in the game.

The types of goblins are:
1. Normal goblin which disappears upon death.
2. Exploding goblin which explodes upon death.
3. Invisible goblin which is invisible and you must use your amber vision to see.

You will need to kill at least one of each type of goblin to earn this trophy.

Pest control
Kill every type of roaches.

There are 3 types of roaches in the game.

The types of roaches are:
1. Normal roaches that are small.
2. Medium sized roaches that are very scarce. There is one in a room before entering into the vast room that houses the large elevator in Turquoise Dawn at the Annexed sequoia trunk balloon station.
3. Mother roaches that are very large. There is one in a room in Turquoise Dawn where you have to kill one in order to be able to absorb a quartz.

You will need to kill at least one of each type.

Great flat, nice view
Hide 5 corpses in a hideout.

You will need to kill five enemies and hide their bodies inside of a hideout (barrel, large box, large container, etc.).

Peek a boo
Stab 10 enemies from a hideout.

You will need to be hiding inside of a barrel, large box, or large container and when an enemy is close enough, you will be prompted to kill or stab them. Do this 10 times to earn this trophy.

Solutionist
Kill an enemy still wearing their armor.

Enemies that are wearing armor cannot be killed by using Styx’s dagger without removing their armor. Therefore, you will need to use a different method to kill an enemy that is wearing armor.

Some possible ways include:
1. Push them off a ledge if possible.
2. Without them detecting your presence, poison the food/drink that they are eating/drinking every so often. This will poison them and cause them to die.
3. Drop something heavy on them from above using a lift with crates or heavy items.

Goaaaaaal
Score a goal with a roach shell.

You will need to find an empty roach shell and then move behind it so that you push it through a structure that looks like soccer posts without a net. One place is in Turquoise Dawn when you first play in this level. There will be bridge that leads from an end building to the land on the side of the cliffs. Go below this bridge and you will find an empty roach shell. Walk behind this roach shell so that Styx pushes it through the wooden structure that is near the edge. You will earn this trophy as soon as you have moved the roach shell through it. See the picture below for more information.

Doodler
Spoil the Inquisition blueprints in Turquoise dawn.

In Turquoise Dawn after you have gotten to the top of the elevator section there will be an area that is higher up that looks like a small village. The balloon station here is called the Annexed Sequoia Canopy. You will need to go up and into a larger hut that will have the Inquisition blueprints. When prompted you will need to have Styx sabotage them. See the picture below for more information.

Ratatouille
Kill 5 enemies with poison.

In some areas there will be a food platter on a table or a drink container that you can see is highlightable when you use your amber vision. You will need to sneak to one of them and throw up on/in them so that they are poisoned by Styx. Remain hidden and let the enemy do their natural guard duty rounds as they will eventually eat/drink from the contaminated source and will die a few seconds later.

It’s afraid
Get rid of the queen roach.

You will earn this trophy after earning the Matador trophy and during the same mission by destroying the queen roach as you absorb the quartz crystal that is on her large body. See the picture below for more information.

Matador
Stuck the queen roach’s tentacles at least 4 times in the ground.

You will be in Akenash Ruins during the mission called The Forgotten Crown Gem. Here you will need to confront the queen roach’s tentacles that are in the ransacked library area. These tentacles will strike out at Styx and you will need to dodge their attacks. The tentacles will show a burst of air and make a sound cue showing you right before they attack so you can dodge out of the way. When you do this, the tentacle will become stuck in the ground for a few seconds. You will then have an opportunity to kill the tentacle by targeting it with your dagger. See the picture below for more information.

You can’t see me
Remain invisible in a hideout while an enemy searches it.

You will need to have the invisibility ability equipped and it is recommended to also have this upgraded with cost reduction and consumption interrupted so you can remain invisible longer while you are not moving or consuming amber. Once ready, you will need to make sure that at least one enemy is aware of you and is searching for you. You will need to be invisible when you are hiding inside of a large box, barrel, or container. You will earn this trophy after an enemy has looked inside of your hiding place and not found Styx.

Full house
Unlock all Ability wheels.

There are 7 crystallized pure amber to collect in the game. These crew (side) missions are given by Djarak called Echoes of Amber. There are 3 of these missions. By finding these you will be rewarded with the ability to have more of the ability wheel unlocked. Eventually it will reach its maximum of 4 parts to the ability wheel after collecting all the crystallized pure amber. It is recommended to follow a YouTube video like the one below to find all of them.

Big games
Kill all types of orcs.

There are 2 types of orcs in the game.

The two types of orcs are:
1. Super large orc guards around the large elevator in Turquoise Dawn at the Annexed sequoia trunk balloon station when you are going up to get to the top of the elevator section.
2. Buffalo head orcs that are in Turquoise Dawn and they are the only enemies that have a horned buffalo-looking head. They are also in Turquoise Dawn at the Annexed sequoia trunk balloon station when you are going up to get to the top of the elevator section.

You will need to kill at least one of each type to earn this trophy.

Fuhgeddaboudit
Use Jasper’s workshop or Wren’s cauldron to forget an upgrade.

While on board the zeppelin you can use either Jasper’s workshop (unlocked earlier in the game) or Wren’s cauldron to upgrade. However, you can also use them to forget an upgrade. You will earn this trophy after you have chosen and forget whichever upgrade. Note: You will get the associated skill point back to be able to use again.
