Stage 1 – Earn all trophies

Welcome to the trophy guide for Kayak VR: Mirage. A great first game to get yourself acquainted with the PSVR2.
The best way to play this game is standing, as you can move faster in your kayak. It is possible, however, to play it seated.

The game has an in-game currency which can be earned by completing races and doing various tasks. You can spend those coins unlocking some fun skins for your kayak and paddles! Make sure to use those, as they look fancy! For the ‘Sea Veteran‘ trophy, you will need to kayak 100 km, which is quite a lot. It is therefore recommended to do all races and paddle around in the Free Roam mode.

In order to obtain the platinum, keep the following trophies in mind:

Antarctica:
A lost little orca
Breathtaking (Race)
Astronaut
Speed Demon
Aurora Australis
Antarctic Expedition
Find Willy

Costa Rica:
King of King’s Canyon (Race)

Amnemonemomne (Spot a clownfish)
Welcome to the jungle
Totally dude!
A lost little turtle

Congrats on earning all trophies available!

A lost little orca
Get the inflatable orca to the open water.

The inflatable orca can be found in Antarctica. Go through the path as shown in image one. This is the bigger path on your left as you spawn. Upon arriving in the larger inner area, take the path on the right. Upon following this path, the orca will be hidden on your left.

Sea Veteran
Kayak for 100km in total.

Kayak a total of 100km in total. You will not earn this during a single play session.
In the top right menu, you will be able to see how much you did in a single session, or in total. Use this as a reference to know how many more kilometres you still need to kayak.

Breathtaking
Get a silver medal or better on the Endurance track in Antarctica.

Gold: 03:57
Silver: 06:37
Bronze: 10:38

The endurance track is an excellent track to test your skills for the Olympic track. You should be able to easily complete this track before even attempting the hardest track out there. For this track, save some energy for the last part, as it can take up to 6 minutes before you reach the finish line. It can be exhausting!

King of King’s Canyon
Become the King of King’s Canyon by getting a gold medal on the Olympic track.

This is by far the most challenging trophy for this game. You will need to get used to the game and its mechanics before you even try to attempt this. To make some preparations, you will need to:
A) Earn the “Breathtaking” trophy.
B) Completed various race tracks to practice your skills.

As you start the race, you will make your way to checkpoint 4. From here, you must make your first U-turn and paddle upstream towards checkpoint 5. From there, go back to checkpoint 4 and continue towards checkpoint 6.

In the next area, you will be making an “8” shape, going through checkpoints 7, 8, 9 and 10. The last two are both upward, challenging you once more.
Continue your way to checkpoints 11, 12 and 13. As you pass 13 you will need to duck for the log that is laying on top of the rocks.

After going through checkpoints 14 and 15, you will need to make your final special move to take checkpoint 16. Make a sharp turn and paddle upwards for the last time.

Continue towards checkpoints 17 and 18. Pay attention to checkpoint 19, as you need to make a turn. From there, give it your all and speed up through the last remaining checkpoints in order to reach the finish.

Day Trip
Get a bronze medal or better on the Day Trip track in Costa Rica.

Select the track “Day Trip” in Costa Rica. The time limits are as follows:
Gold: 7:08
Silver: 9:19
Bronze: 14:16

The time is lenient and you might get it on your first try. The length of the track is medium, so don’t go all out in the first few minutes, instead save some strength for the last bit too.

Day Trip Trophy Video Walkthrough.

Astronaut
Get serious airtime with your Kayak.

This can be earned in Antarctica. There are various ice ramps in the area where you spawn.
Alternatively, there is also a glitch available in this area. Go to the hidden explorer’s camp and follow the video below.

Astronaut Trophy Video Walkthrough.

Kabourophobia
Overcome your kabourophobia.

Kabourophobia is the fear of crabs and lobsters.
Crabs can be found in Norway, in a small bay towards your left as you spawn. You will need to hit (and kill) the enemy with your paddle in order for this trophy to pop. This can be pretty hard, as the crabs are on solid ground. Gain some speed and put your kayak
on land and hit the crab.

Refer to the video below for visual aid.

Moby Dick

Rider on the Storm
Get a medal on one of Norway’s tracks in the storm.

The easiest-rated track available in Norway is called “Lighthouse” with the following time requirements:
Gold: 0:50
Silver: 1:21
Bronze: 1:57

The time is lenient and you might get it on your first try. Make sure you select the “Storm” weather, as daytime will
not trigger the trophy.

Rider on the Storm Trophy Video Walkthrough.

Speed Demon
Reach 40 km/h.

This trophy is best earned during the second race in Antarctica. It is called “Let it go” and starts on a slope going down. If you paddle hard once you hit the water, the trophy will pop.

Ophidiophobia
Overcome your ophidiophobia.

Ophidiophobia is the fear of snakes. A snake (multiple ones) can be found in Australia. The one you need is just before the horizontal tree that goes over the water. If you spot the snake lying on the rock, hit it with your paddle to pop the trophy.

If the snake is not present, restart the level and try again. The other snakes present in the level won’t help you earn this trophy, as you won’t be able to hit them with your paddle.

A lost toucan
Get the inflatable toucan to the other side of the canyon.

Can be found in Australia. As you spawn, turn around and you will see it floating.

A lost little whale
Get the inflatable whale to the open water

The inflatable whale is found in Norway. As you make your way to the lighthouse, check your right side. There is a small cave with a whale inside it.

Galeophobia
Overcome your galeophobia.

Galeophobia is the fear of sharks. Sharks can be found in Norway, in the same spot as the submarine.

Das Boot
Spot the submarine.

The Submarine can be found in Norway. It is a bit past the lighthouse on the right side.

in order to stay clear of them.

You’re a wizard
Perform a magic trick.

While in the pool, put the inflatable ball inside the flamingo.

WWII Plane
Spot the WWII plane.

The World War II plane can also be found in Norway. Did you know that there are more planes in the sea than submarines in the sky?

Anyhow, the location of the Plane is just between the spawning point and the lighthouse, underneath the surface.

Thalassophobia
Overcome your thalassophobia.

Fear of large bodies of water.

This can be done in Antarctica. As you spawn, go through the ice arc in front of you. Paddle a bit towards the open sea and stay there until this trophy pops. It may take a few minutes.

Sleep with the fishes
Stay underwater for one minute.

Put your head under the water. You can also adjust the height of the kayak to make things a bit easier.

Aurora Australis
Spend some time under the Aurora Australis.
