Welcome at the trophy guide for In Death. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.
Follow us on twitter for the latest news and giveaways.
Stage 1: Complete the two worlds
Welcome to In Death, a fun VR game where you progress by dying! The world consists of two levels: The Purgatory and Paradise Lost. Both of these levels have an end boss. After defeating the end boss in The Purgatory you will be teleported to Paradise Lost. After you complete the end boss in Paradise Lost you will be teleported to The Purgatory again. Every time you complete the circle it gets harder. Do not worry since you will probably die a lot before you reach this point, and that does not matter since it is the only way to get further in the game. While trying to get to this point make sure to take a look at the in game achievement guide. Do note that trophies unlock AFTER dying, so if you know you did the requirement and nothing pops up, now you know why.
Stage 2: Complete the three pit trials
There are three different Pits in this game, they are a different area, and have different enemies. You start in the Pit of Reformation, and after you complete it you will unlock the next one. And the third one is unlocked by completing the second one. You can complete Pits by getting enough kills inside of them. After you have unlocked all three, then they will come in random orders.
Stage 3: Grind Fest
After completing the first two stages, you will be ready to start grinding. It is going to be a long grind, but it will be a fun one. If you want to know approximately how close you are to a trophy you can check the
Trophies

In Death Mastery
Complete the game 100%.
You will need to unlock all other trophies before you can earn this shiny platinum.

Bone Collecter III
Deal 1,000,000 damage in one afterlife.
This sounds like a daunting task to pull off, but will come after obtaining most of the in game achievements. For example, achieving the ‘score … headshots in one afterlife’ achievements will increase your headshot damage. So leave this trophy for the end.

Harbinger of Sorrow
Score 126 headshots in one afterlife.
Refer to the trophy ‘Harbinger of Anguish’ for more information.

Harbinger of Anguish
Score 666 headshots in one afterlife.
This is by far the hardest trophy in the game, getting a headshot requires you to shoot at the head of an enemy. Now for the hardest part, playing the game over and over again, while enemies get stronger and your arrows get weaker. This can take around two / three hours of your time, and dying will reset the counter. There are not any particular tips to give, play carefully and kill every enemy you see with a headshot. Also there is no in game counter to tell you how many headshots you got, so you have to keep track yourself.

Picking Up The Pieces III
Loot 24,000 gold pieces in one afterlife.
After killing an enemy you will get gold, you can use this gold by buying items at the Reliquary. You can make this trophy easier by getting headshots, this increases the gold you get. Additionally, you can get the in game achievements ‘Picking Up The Pieces I and II’, these will give you bonus gold when you make a headshot.

River Of Blood III
Kill 21 enemies within a short time period.
For this trophy it is suggested to make good use of your teleport arrows. You will have to kill 21 enemies in quick succession. Find a group of enemies and keep in mind where they are, now search some other rooms for more enemies. If you think you have found enough, then try and kill them all quickly. Getting headshots will kill enemies in one or two shots.

Lay Them To Rest III
Exterminate 251 Abominations.
Refer to the trophy ‘Lay Them To Rest V’ for more information.

Lay Them To Rest V
Exterminate 3001 Abominations.
Abominations are the most common enemy in the game, they can be found everywhere. Be aware that they come in big groups. The Abominations are weak against all attacks and will die with a single shot. Keep replaying the game and eventually the trophy will unlock.Refer to the photo below to see their visual presentation:

Storm the Abbey III
Slaughter 233 Monks.
Refer to the trophy ‘Storm the Abbey V’ for more information.

Storm the Abbey V
Slaughter 3033 Monks.
Monks are the archers within the game, they can teleport over the place so keep that in mind fighting them. This enemy type can also be found in most places. While they are stronger then the Abomination they still should not be a big problem.
Refer to the photo below for a visual presentation.

Temple Raider III
Slay 80 Temple Knights.
Refer to the trophy ‘Temple Raider V’ for more information.

Temple Raider V
Slay 2190 Temple Knights.
The noble knights join the fight, this enemy type is still pretty common. There are different types of Knights but they all have one thing in common, they are particularly weak against headshots.

The Innocent III
Bring salvation to 103 Orphans.

2. Pit of Perdition Mastery (Complete Pit of Perdition without ever taking damage.)
3. Pit of Reformation Mastery (Complete Pit of Reformation without ever taking damage.)

5. Paradise Lost On A Budget (Complete Paradise Lost without spending gold.)
After completing one of these challenges, Orphans will spawn in the correct level, they can spawn anywhere, but are most of the time well guarded. When you get close to them they will run away. They look like gold babies which you will have to kill (or bring salvation in a less gruesome way of saying it).
Take a look at the photo below to see how they look like:

Arrow of God
Make the most unbelievably long Headshot.
This trophy is kind of buggy. What you think is an unbelievably long headshot is not long enough for the game. Try and make an enemy spawn at, for example, the end of the level, and get as far away from him as possible. Now when you are at a good distance you will have to get a headshot, which consists of a lot of luck.

RIP
Die.
This trophy will unlock when you die for the first time. This is the only way to progress in the game.

Bane
Kill a large number of enemies with a single Curse.
Refer to the trophy ‘Eternal Rapture’ for more information. But use the ‘Wrath of God’ arrow instead of the ‘Tempest’ arrow.

Eternal Rapture
Kill a large number of enemies with a single Tempest.
To obtain this trophy it is suggested to get a group of Abominations together. This is best done at the end of the first level, Purgatory, before entering the boss fight. Also make sure you have the arrow and some ammo for it. Get a little group going and make sure they are in line, then blast them with the Tempest.

Assassin
Kill 666 enemies who haven’t noticed your presence.
If an enemy attacks you, it means he noticed your presence, this will always occur by getting close to them, or shooting at the enemy. For this trophy you have to get sneaky and kill 666 enemies while they are not aware that you are near them. With most enemies you can kill them by getting an headshot, but the Abominations can be killed by one shot.
Another way to do this is by killing Cupids in the second level, Paradise Lost. This enemy can be found nearly anywhere in this level, and most of the time they are flying outside of the buildings.

Bonk!
Knock a Cupid out of the sky using your shield.
For this trophy you have to get close and personal with a Cupid. This is only possible if the Cupid is flying inside of the rooms. When you found your victim, teleport as close as possible to him, and hold [L1] to bring up your shield. Now smash him with your shield until he dies.

The Unwanted III
Save 7 Orphans in one afterlife.

Death by a Thousand Needles
Kill 666 enemies with Barrage of Needles.
For this trophy you have to use the arrow ‘Barrage of Needles’.
This arrow sort of acts like a shotgun, and can penetrate the armor of the Knights. Keep using the arrows until you are completely dry, at this point you can try and find a Quiver (kill 73 monks for it to unlock), which restocks your ammunition, or go into the Reliquary and see if they sell the ‘Barrage of Needles’ arrows.

Purgatory Mastery
Defeat Anakim The Abominable at full health.
Anakim The Abominable is the end boss in the first level, Purgatory.
You can skip most of the first level by using the roofs as a shortcut, and doing it this way also helps you because you are not losing any health. If you manage to get Anakim to 70% health, then a Lambs blood will spawn before the fight.
The only hard part of this trophy is dodging all the arrows that the Monks are shooting at you. Anakim is really slow, so he wont be a big threat. Try and circle around the arena, while occasionally stopping and shooting Anakim.
If you want to know what the boss looks like, then take a look at the photo below:

If you manage to reduce his health to 50%, then a Lambs blood will spawn before the fight. Gabriel The Fallen has a set of attacks which can easily be stopped by staying behind one of the pillars around the area. Be beware that enemies will spawn and shoot at you. If you want to know how the boss looks like, then take a look at this photo:
