Stage 1 – Play through All Acts/Episodes
Play through all acts/episodes of the game. You can play on easy and still earn all trophies. Most trophies will be earned naturally playing the game. However, the game is divided into episodes that features autosaves at various checkpoints and completion of each episode. There is not an act/episode select after completing the game, so it is important to pay close attention to certain requirements for some trophies. For this reason outlined below are the episodes listed showing where to you will need to meet the requirements to earn the trophies associated for certain episodes to earn all trophies in one playthrough.
Episode List Guide:
Note: As you earn Skill Points, use them immediately to upgrade your character perks. Also, remember to focus on getting the Perks of the characters that could potentially die due to the choices that you make in your playthrough. You can always Restart an Episode if you want or pause the game, load a game and choose one of the Autosaves prior to what choice affected the available Perks.
Stage 2 – Replay through Episodes.
If you missed a trophy, then you will need to replay the game until you meet the requirements for a given trophy that may be tied to a specific episode. See the Stage 1 and the trophy information below as needed.
TWD: Destinies
Unlocked all trophies.
Congratulations on your shiny new platinum!
Fear the Living
Finish Act 5.
You will earn this when you complete the last Act of the game.
Heavyweight
Kill a Strong Walker with only melee attacks.
You will encounter larger walkers that will need more melee hits in order to kill them. They will chase and run towards you until they eventually fall face first into the ground. Use only a melee weapon to attack and kill at least one Strong Walker to earn this trophy.
Thick Skin
Kill enemies with Execution, Stab, Stomp, Melee, Firearm and a Grenade in “This Sorrowful Life”.
In the episode called This Sorrowful Life, you will have opportunities to kill various walkers using melee weapons, firearms, and grenades. Make sure that you kill at least one walker by Execution (after your blood is boiling), Stomp on a crawler walker, Stab, Melee, Firearm, and a Grenade to earn this trophy.
Fire in the Dead
Kill 5 walkers with 1 grenade.
Various episodes will have grenades scattered about the level. When you find one, you can pick it up to carry in your inventory.
Note: You can only carry one of these items at a time – Medicine, First Aid Kit, Flash Grenade, or a Grenade. However, you can drop any of them to pick up and use another item and then repick up the item that you dropped to your inventory.
You can roundup walkers into a group or find a bunch of at least 5 that are together and then use the Grenade on them to instantly kill all of them.
Not running from a fight
Win the pit fight in “The Suicide King” without dodging.
During “The Suicide King” episode, when you are fighting make sure not to dodge at all. It is best to be on the offense and to keep punching the enemy back into the walkers. The walkers will help to inflict damage to your opponent too. Your opponent will try to roll and end up behind you quite a lot so make sure to turn around when you see them start to roll. Then continue to punch them until the round is over. You will only need to do the first round of the fight this way as the trophy should be earned after the first round. Otherwise pause the game and Restart the Episode.
Zoned in
Kill 5 enemies with the Sniper Rifle without zooming out.
When you play an episode where the Sniper Rifle is found, you will be able to use it and use the zoom. Make sure to find an area where there are 5 enemies and then zoom in and kill them without ever zooming out. Note: Use your Skill Points to increase the Sniper Rifle upgrades in your Skill Tree under Daryl. The earliest episode where the Sniper Rifle is available is “Bloodletting” where you will need to kill walkers in the gym from the balcony.
Executioner
Perform one execution with each melee weapon (Bat, Fire Axe, Crowbar, Machete, Sledgehammer, Katana).
Melee weapons are available during episodes, but not all are available until later in the game. The common melee weapons are: Bat, Fire Axe, Crowbar, Machete. The Sledgehammer is less common and the Katana is the least common as it is only available to Michonne.
When you are killing walkers, your character will say “My blood is boiling” or “My adrenaline is pumping”, this is your audio clue that you can perform an execution. To perform an execution, melee hit an enemy once and then press the Triangle button to trigger the event. Keep track that you perform at least one execution with each type of melee weapon. It is best to perform an execution as soon as you can when you discover each of these melee weapons as the story unfolds.
Anger Management
Become Wrathful and survive.
Playing as any character, if you become overwhelmed with attacks by walkers, your character will eventually suffer a condition such as Wrathful. When a Wrathful condition occurs, you will need to move away from the walkers and try to avoid being attacked again during this short period of time. There may be a restriction on your character that they may no longer be able to do until you do as stated in the upper left corner of your HUD. If you have difficulties trying to complete this trophy, you can always let your character become Wrathful by attracting the walkers and not fighting and only minimally fighting them off of you. If you die, you will restart the episode or the checkpoint in the episode to try again.
Bad call
Make a bad expedition decision.
You will need to make a Bad choice for a person that is on an expedition. See Stage 1 for the Episodes that contain an expedition. When you are in your camp, you will need interact with your map to select the next episode. At the start there may be an expedition where you will choose one person to go on a mission. These will possibly give some Skill Points as stated. Then after you have started an episode, at one point it will be interrupted as the person on the expedition will call you and ask for your advice which they will follow. Most of the choices are very obvious as to what is the good and bad choice. For example, if the person wants to attack other people or invite people back to your camp, most of these would be the bad call. Whereas if the person says that they are going to hunt a wounded animal or they are returning to your camp alone, most of these would be the good call. Then your own episode will continue after you tell them what to do, then a little later you will hear what happened (FAIL for a Bad Call) and earn any Skill Points. See the pictures below for an example.
Plan ahead
Succeed in 5 expeditions.
Throughout the game you will complete some expeditions as shown in the episode list from Stage 1. You will need to have a Good outcome from at least 5 of these expeditions. If you are trying to earn all trophies in one playthrough, then you can complete an expedition obtaining a Bad outcome and then immediately letting your character die. This will bring you back to the last checkpoint and you will once again have the expedition interrupt your episode so that you can choose the other (Good outcome) for it.

This will bring you back to the last checkpoint and you will once again have the expedition interrupt your episode so that you can choose the other (Bad outcome) for it.

These walkers are not very alert and you can sneak almost entirely through the area with only having to distract very many of the walkers if needed.
Are you crazy?

During “Life Worth Living”, there will be 7 walkers that are around a police car. This will be towards the end of the tutorial part where Morgan is guiding you on how to survive nowadays. This is because towards the end of the episode you will need to use a Sniper Rifle to kill at least 15 walkers. Under the Main Menu>Options you can select Autoaim to make this much easier. When shooting at the walkers you will kill them with one bullet per headshot. Also, keep an eye on Shane as you will want to target the walkers surrounding him in order to keep his health bar higher. If his health bar decreases too much the game will proceed to the next part and you will no longer to be to take enough Sniper shots to kill the walkers.

This area is very dark and it’s hard to see the walkers so make sure to make use of your Instinct ability which highlights the walkers in the dark. Once you have obtained the Assault Rifle, make sure open the locked cell door with the Strong Walkers. Go inside by sneaking to pick up the Ammo Bag. When you are going back the way you came, use the Assault Rifle to kill 5 enemies in 10 seconds. The walkers will be more grouped together as there will be more of them in the hallways.

Guns Blazing

During “When the Dead Come Knocking”, you will play as Carol. There is no way to unequip a melee weapon so be careful and watch that your character does not automatically swing the melee weapon if they get attacked. Only use Firearms during this episode to kill walkers, enemies, and to break the boxes for the Ammo and items you need to collect. There is a Revolver, Sniper Rifle, and Assault Rifle during this episode so whichever you like. If you do not earn this trophy as soon as you exit at the end of this episode, then pause the game and reload an earlier autosave. Efficient
Kill 10 Walkers by the fence in 60 seconds in “Infected” .
During “Infected”, you will play as Daryl and you will be inside the pathway closed in on both sides by the prison fences. It is recommended to move down to the far end of the area by moving obstacles. Once near the pathway end, move close to the fence back and forth to get the attention of the walkers and to attract more of them towards you. Once you have 10 walkers or more, use the given weapon to stab the walkers in the head as quickly as possible. It only matters that you kill 10 within 60 seconds. You have to kill 12 walkers during this part, so if you do not achieve 10 kills in 60 seconds, then pause and restart until you earn this trophy.
