Welcome to the trophy guide for The Gardens Between. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4/5 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Play thorugh the game while picking up the miscellaneous trophies.


Welcome to the guide for The Gardens Between, a fun puzzle game that plays on the notion of time. There are a few trophies that are not story related but all can be cleaned up in Chapter Select. The main thing to know is that after completing each set of levels you will be shown a memory, during the memory you will have to forward time, but be careful not to advance too far and complete the memory. This is because you need to reverse the time and find an object that will vibrate. Once you find the object, hold leave the memory at that time. Eventually, it will reveal something and a trophy will unlock.

The other missable trophies are:
Level 3-2 “Game Over”.
Memory 3 “Friendly Fire”.
Level 7-2 “Found You!”.
Level 8- Screen 2 “Don’t touch that!”.

Walkthrough
1-1 Forward time by holding the left analogue stick right until you cannot move forward, then rewind time be holding the left analogue stick to the left until the level makes a noise. Now forward time until the pair reach the lantern. Press X to pick it up and forward time till they reach the top and press X again.

1-2 Forward time until you reach the chime, interact with the chime by pressing X. Rewind time to pick up the orb, use the orb on the bridge to get across. Continue forward and you will automatically pick up an orb, but then lose it when walking past the flower. Continue forward until you reach the chime. Interact with it. Rewind time to pick up another orb and then forward time until the end of the level.

Memory 1 – Forward time but be careful not to finish the sequence, reverse time to find the frame where the door starts to vibrate, then leave the time on this frame until the door opens – Trophy “Moving In”

2-1 Forward time until you reach the bouncing box, place the lantern on the box. Reverse time so the box picks up the orb. Forward time and pick up the lantern from the box. Forward time, going across the bridge until you reach the bouncing box for a second time. Place the lantern on the box. Continue forward until the box gets another orb and the boy is at the chime. Interact with the chime. Rewind time and take the lantern from the bouncing box. Now forward time to complete the level.

2-2 Walk forward until you reach the bouncing box, place the lantern on the bouncing box. Rewind time so the box picks up the orb, then forward time to reach the bouncing box again. Take the lantern. Forward time, going across the bridge till you reach an orb, now reverse time a little to the second bouncing box, place the lantern on the bouncing box. Forward time and meet up with the bouncing box again and pick up the lantern. Forward time until you reach the box again and place the lantern to avoid the black orb. Continue forward and you will meet up with the box, pick up the lantern and continue forward to complete the level.

Memory 2 – Forward time, but be careful not to finish the sequence, reverse time, you need to then find the frame where the cooler shakes, hold time there until it opens. Trophy “New Friends”

3-1 Forward time until you reach the column, interact with the column by pressing X, this will allow you to move the time in the level without moving the characters. Reverse time so the blocks move back on top. Continue forward across the bridge to the next column. Interacting with the column and knock down the dominoes causing a chain reaction. Walk forward so the girl picks up the orb, when reversing time make sure the boy interacts with the chime, continue backwards to the second column and interact with it. Reverse time so the dominoes are upright Trophy “Reset the Dominos”. Continue forward with the characters until you reach the chime, interact with it. Then continue forward to the end of the level.

3-2 Walk all the way to the column and interact with it. Move time so the plug gets plugged in and the TV turns on. Exit the Column and reverse time so the characters are back by the VCR. When the boy tries to reverse the tape, hold time at that frame so the VHS fully rewinds and pops out. Now forward time going up the VHS tape path. Continue forward across the bridge, by the TV is a bouncing box. Place the lantern on the box. Forward time to the column and interact with it. Reverse time so the bird on the TV turns black, exit the column time shift and walk the characters backwards. The bouncing box will pick up an orb keep reversing time till the bouncing box and the characters meet up. Take the lantern, then go back to the column, forward time with the column so the bird dies in the video game Trophy “Game Over” Exit the column and continue forward to complete the level.

3-3 Walk forward to the column, then interact with it to move the bouncing box backwards. Exit the column and walk forward and place the lantern on the bouncing box. Go back to the column and move time forward to move the bouncing box so it is under the lampshade. Exit the column. Move the characters forward until the bouncing box picks up the orb. Go back to the column and move the bouncing box back to where we can meet up with it. Exit the column and walk to the bouncing box, pick up the lantern and continue forward. Go across the bridge. The characters will split up and the boy should interact with the second column. Move the bouncing box so it is near the girl. Exit the column and make the girl place the lantern on the bouncing box. Go forward and interact with the column again. Move the bouncing box so it is just to the right of the broom handle. Now exit the column, and continue to move the characters forward. Trophy “Great Catch”. Have the boy interact with the chime. Now go back to the column again, and reverse the bouncing box so it is near the bowl of popcorn. Exit the column and forward the time till the popcorn gets knocked and the bouncing box picks up the orb. Go back to the column and move the bouncing box with the orb back to behind the girl. Exit the column and pick up the lantern with the girl. Continue forward to complete the level.

Memory 3 Forward time, but be careful not to finish the sequence, reverse time and find the frame where the TV begins to vibrate. Hold time there until the crow pops out. Trophy “Staying Up Late”. Also Forward and reverse time so the popcorn hits the boy in the face 5 times. Trophy “Friendly Fire”

4-1 Walk forward until the girl jumps onto the saw handle, now reverse and forward time until the you saw through the plank of wood Trophy “Saw Through Time”. Continue forward till you reach the chime and then interact with it. Keep going forward pass the fog and you reach a second orb. Now head back and interact with the chime just behind you and continue back until the black orb takes your orb away. Continue forward to the end of the level.

4-2 Continue forward and interact with the chime. Continue forward until you get to the three boxes. Place the lantern on the third box. Rewind time until the box picks up the orb. Now go back to the three boxes. Pick up the lantern and go across the bridge. Continue all the way to the top of the level. Place the lantern on the second to last box. Now rewind time all the way back so the box picks up an orb. Now you can continue all the way to the end of the level, pick up the lantern from the box and exit the level.

4-3 Go forward until you reach the column, use the column to bring down the platform. Exit the column, and use the girl to place the lantern on the box. Use the column again to move the platform down so it picks up the orb, then back up to the girl. Exit the column and pick up the lantern. Continue forward across the bridge. At the second column bring the platform up, exit the column and have the girl place the lantern. Go back to the second column, use it to move the platform all the way down to get another orb and then back up to above the characters so it removes some of the fog. Exit the column, and move the characters forward and have the boy interact with the chime. Interact with the column so the platform is now at your level, exit the column and pick up the lantern. Use the column again and move the platform all the way down and the black hole all the way up. Continue forward to the third column, move the platform to the top, then exit the column, move the girl onto the platform, the box will run away. Leave the girl on the platform and as the boy use the column to bring the platform all the way down, so the girl picks up an orb. Trophy “Gone Fishing”. Exit the column and then proceed to exit the level.

Memory 4 Forward time but be careful not to finish the sequence, reverse time and you need to find the frame where the poster begins to vibrate hold time there until it furls upwards. Trophy “Our Secret Clubhouse”

5-1 Walk the girl and the boy across the number pad, then walk the girl back. To complete this part, we have to input the number 64-46-76. To do that, move the girl forward across two numbers, then backwards across two numbers, then move the boy back onto the 7, and the girl onto the 6. This will activate the computer. Now move the girl onto and off the number 4 three times. Continue forward to the column, interact with the column so the printer works. Exit the column and continue forward to the chime, then interact with it. Interact with the device with a wave monitor and interact with it. you will then see the glass start to wobble, pause time here until the glass breaks and then continue forward.

5-2 Head forward to the first column and use it so the dinosaur bones just break the amber around the chime. Exit the column. Head to the chime and interact with it. Head backwards and go pick up the orb. Use the column again and line the dinosaur bone so you can use it as a ramp. Continue forward to the second column. Remove the rock but keep the dinosaur bone going down as a ramp. Exit the column and walk to the bouncing box and place the lantern with an orb on it. Go back to the column. Make the dinosaur bones ring the chimes so the black orb moves from below us. Exit the column head back to the bouncing box and pick up the lantern with an orb. Head back to the column and interact with it. Ring the chimes so the black orb moves from above us, then position the dinosaur bone so we can continue upwards. Continue to the third column and interact with it. Completely rebuild the whole dinosaur. Continue to the end of the level.

Memory 5 Forward time but be careful not to finish the sequence, reverse time and you need to find the frame where the eggs starts to vibrate, then leave the time on this frame until the eggs hatch Trophy “Mischievous Discoveries”

6-1 Head forward picking up the orb along the way and use the column. Bring the bouncing box so it’s just ahead of the characters. Exit the column. Place the lantern on the bouncing box and then head back to the column. Move the bouncing box to the next location. Exit the column. Head back to where we moved the bouncing box and take the lantern from him. Interact with the chime and then put the lantern back on the bouncing box. You will now be able to head to the lower path. Head to the column again and bring the bouncing box back to just ahead of us. Pick up the lantern from the bouncing box and then head all the way backwards to the other bouncing box. Place the lantern in the bouncing box. Head back to the column and move the bouncing box with the lantern one place forward. Now exit the column and continue along the path. Pick up the lantern and complete the level.

6-2 Continue forward until you see a water droplet fall. Reverse time so the water droplet is lined up with the wiring. Then hold time at this spot until the light is powered. Continue forward until you reach the next clouded area, reverse time so another water droplet powers up the lights, continue forward across the fog bridge. Interact with the chime. Head back to the column, you will need to power on the lights with the water droplet to get past the fog. Use the column to get the pipe to fall down so a constant stream of water is flowing. Make your way to the beginning of the level to pick up an orb. Walk forward and you will clear some fog. Inside this fog is a bouncing box. Place the lantern on the box. Go to the column and repair the pipe. Now use a water droplet to power on the lights and continue forward to the end of the level where you will meet up with the bouncing box . Pick up the lantern and complete the level.

6-3 Head to the first column and make the second can align with the gap. Then move the girl across the first gap, and the boy to the second column. Move time back so the first can is aligned with the first gap, then exit the column and walk both characters across. Keep walking forward and as the girl jumps after standing on the faucet pause time so the faucet continues to spin and will eventually turn off. Continue forward with the boy and reach the column. Move the objects so the detergent bottle and the foggy bridge are aligned with the gap then exit the column and make your way across. Continue forward across the pizza box and interact with the column. Move the bottle, fog bridge with the chime so it is just about to align with the gap behind us. Exit the column then head back onto the fog bridge and use the chime.  Go back to the column in front of us, and align the  pizza box. Exit the column and head back across the two gaps.  Head all the way back so the girl absorbs the orb.  Now head forward to the column and interact with it. Align the first box without any fog then exit the column. Once across the first gap place the lantern on the bouncing box. Now go back to the column and align the detergent bottle and fog bridge. Exit the column. Go across the first gap, pick up the lantern and go across the second gap on the pizza box. You can now make your way to the end of the level.

Memory 6 Forward time but be careful not to finish the sequence, reverse time and you need to find the frame where the faucet starts to vibrate, then leave the time on this frame until the faucet falls off. Trophy “An Expedition Goes Down The Drain”

7-1 Head forward and pick up the orb, go backwards to the column. Interact with it and make the red box in the mural move until it gets to the whale. Exit the column and continue forward  across the bridge all the way to the second column. Interact with it moving the re box onto the tyre. Place the lantern on the bouncing box. Then interact with the column again and move the red box so it is on the top of the slide. Exit the column and go back to till you see the light also on top of the slide and then head forward to the column again, interact so the red box goes past the tyre and gets rid of the fog and the plank of wood falls down, then place the red box back on the tyre. Exit the column. Pick up the lantern from the bouncing box and make your way to the end of the level.

7-2 Move the girl by the fog and wait for the bouncing box to get rid of the fog so she can take the right path.  Then make sure the boy also takes the right path by timing it so he goes through the cleared fog also. Interact with the chime. Keep going forward across the fog bridge.  Make your way to the cassette player. When the yellow bouncing box is just below and to the left of the boy. Change the frequency of the cassette player so the blue bouncing box is moving. When it is near the girl, move the frequency to the red and then place the lantern on the blue bouncing box. Now put the frequency onto blue and move the blue bouncing box so it is right at he bottom on the small island.  Change to the red frequency so the red box moves onto the cassette, not move onto the blue frequency and place the blue box b the girl. Change the frequency to green. Head backwards to the fog and it will reveal another bouncing box. Trophy “Found You!” Walk to the end of the level.

7-3 Walk forward, picking up the orb, go through the fog, place the lantern on the bouncing box and continue forward, interact with the chime, then go back pick up the lantern and the black orb will absorb your white orb and you can make it across the bridge, Now picking up another orb keep going across the bridge, at the second chime interact with it, then go forward picking up another orb, then go back to the chime and interact with it again, place the lantern on the bouncing box, continue forward till you reach the column, move the black orb in the sky so it absorbs the white orb on the bouncing box, exit the column and go back to the bouncing box and pick up the lantern, now head back up to the top, and interact with the column again, this time sign up the stars so they create a chime, exit the column, head to the chime and interact with it, now head back to the column and interact with it, moving the orb so it is to the left and above the basket, now exit the column and go and pick up the orb by aligning it up with the lantern, now make your way to the end of the level Trophy “Reach For The Sky”

Memory 7 Forward time but be careful not to finish the sequence, reverse time and you need to find the frame where the telescope starts to vibrate, then leave the time on this frame until the Trophy “Stargazing” unlocks.

8 Screen 1 Continue forward until you reach two bouncing boxes, place the lantern on the left one, reverse time until the box picks up the orb, go forward again and pick up the lantern from the box, go across the bridge, continue forward until you reach 3 bouncing boxes, place the lantern on the left box again, continue forward until it picks up the orb, then reverse to pick up the lantern, reverse a little more and interact with the chime, place the lantern in the middle bouncing box and continue forward until you meet up near the end and pick up the lantern and go across the bridge to end the stage.

Screen 2 Continue forward, until you are at the same level as the Oscillator machine, pause time here and when the lightning strikes it bolt will connect with the machine Trophy “Don’t Touch That” continue forward until you reach a wooden bridge between a saw and a pair of scissors, again wait for the lightning bolt to connect with the scissors, at the column move time so the TV’s plug is near the globe, continue forward a little more till a lightning bolt connects with the plug, continue forward until the bouncing box is on top of the hose, and wait here until the pressure builds up and the beach ball will be cleared away, when you meet up with the bouncing box place the lantern on it, rewind time so the bouncing box goes back into the TV and use the column, so that the TV is plugged in, exit the column and continue forward until you meet up with the bouncing box, pick up the lantern and continue to the next stage.

Screen 3 Continue forward to the end of the level. Trophy “The Gardens Complete” Trophy “Platinum Garden”

A Garden Friend gums up the pipes.

During Memory 6, forward time and then reverse time until the faucet starts to vibrate, leave the time at this point till the faucet falls off.


Stargazing
A Cosmic Garden Friend phones home.

During Memory 7, forward time and then reverse time until the telescope starts to vibrate, leave the time at this point till the telescope moves.


The Gardens Complete
Friends apart, memories remain.
