Welcome to the trophy guide for Tails of Iron – Bright Fir Forest DLC. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Series X and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4/5 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Start and play the DLC
Hello and welcome to the DLC ‘Bright Fir Forest’ for Tails of Iron! Dive once again in the epic world of Redgi. In order to start this DLC, make your way to the Crimson Fort (shown below) and speak to the squirrel. Then interact with the fast travel board and select a newly added area called ‘Bright Fir Forest’. Upon arriving in the new area, the squirrel will give you a full set of armor and weapons. These are perfect for new players, as the given equipment is yellow of grade (legendary). Completion of the main game is required in order to start this DLC (Watch the credits by sitting on the throne).
Make your way towards the right and jump the giant mushroom in front of you… Continue and your first trophy will pop. (“The Bright Fir“).
The roadmap is as followed:
“The Bright Fir” + “Shield Maiden Yellow Tongue” in the new area called The Bright Fir.
“Defeat Croakhis Khan” + “I remember my first beer” are earned in Crimson Fort. (Requires 5 golden coins, can be earned during your visit to Mole Town)
“Defeat the Grub Buster” is earned in Mole Town (Arena)
“Defeat the Stalker Queen” is earned in The Iron Mines of Turn Tail
All trophies require you to complete 3 missions, where the third mission each time is the trophy mission.
Shield Maiden Yellow Tongue
Defeat Shield Maiden Yellow Tongue in Bright Fir Forest
The tactic for this big one is as followed:
White attack: Block, raise shield
Red circle attack: Dodge
Red attack: Dodge roll and get 2 hits in
Phase 2 (66% HP):
Yellow Tongue now does a white earthquake attack. Block, roll forward and get 2 hits in.
Dodge roll all red attacks.
Defeat Croakhis Khan
Defeat Croakhis Khan in the depths of the Crypts
The first phase of this boss is rather tricky. It’s hard to find a pattern in which you can deal some damage. However, the turtle that is alongside you will deal some damage from time to time. The biggest part of this phase will be holding the block button to block his arrows. If you see an opening to get a single hit in, go for it. Use your arrow to get him to 50%
Phase 2:
You’ll still be holding the block button a long time here. Once he does his yellow flash attack, parry. Now it is time to get some hits in. Keep repeating this process until he is done for. In the video below the turtle actually did the final strike.
Defeat the Grub Buster
Defeat the Grub Buster in the Mole Town Area
The Grub Buster! A slow enemy that is predicable and not too though to beat.
Phase 1:
There are 2 moments during phase 1 in which you can deal damage.
1) Attack him once the red circle is above his head. It will fly towards you. Dodge by rolling behind it. Now you can get 2 hits in.
2) Yellow flash icon; parry his attack and get 2 hits in.
Keep in mind:
A) Block projectiles by raising your shield. Keep doing this until you reach phase 2.
Phase 2 (33% HP):
The Grub Buster will have a few different moves, but the tactic will remain the same.
Phase 3 (10% HP):
Fire your bullets and kill him off.
Defeat the Stalker Queen
Defeat the Stalker Queen at the Tram Stop in the Mines
This is one of the easier bosses throughout this DLC. Once the fight starts, go full button smash on him. Dodge the red attack by rolling. If he does a flashing yellow attack, parry it.
I remember my first beer
Sit on the King’s chair in the newly constructed pub
The 4th and final mission in Crimson Fort. Accept the quest on the quest board and visit the band in the cellar. Now pay the trader a visit and pay him 5 coins for some planks and nails. Go back to the band and sit on your newly build throne!
The Bright Fir
Travel to Bright Fir Forest and bask in the golden light of the Bright Fir
Earned upon arriving in the new DLC area, after jumping the big mushroom.
