Stage 1 – Story mode
Story mode is a short game mode where you’ll play as a single character. Your objective is to beat the boss a few dungeons away from you. This mode is great to start with to learn the different characters and mechanics that are tied to them.
You’ll need to complete it with the following characters:
– Ranger – “Shimmer of the mountains“
– Explorer – “Hats and Scrolls”
– Priest – “The Taste of Prayer“
– Paladin – “The Burden“
– Lyya – “Home is Everywhere“
– Adventurer – “Master of Adventure“
– Shaman – “Being alone“
Stage 2 – Dungeon & Exploration
A dungeon is a shorter game mode where you’ll need to explore a few rooms and defeat the boss with 3 characters of your choice. You’ll need to do this for the following levels:
– Weird Cave – “Save the Night” & “Meet by Chance” (FInd Leafcloud the Apothecary)
– Island Dungeon – “Who Lives Under the Sea” & “Wand of Physic” (Find Yanson the Artison)
The Exploration mode offers a longer experience. You’ll be able to grind equipment (also legendary) and get the cards you need.
In this game mode, you will need to complete:
– Forsaken Archipelago – “End the Eternal Night“
– East Archipelago – “Calm the Sea“
– Dwarf Kingdom – “Frost and Snow“
You’ll also want to earn the “A Lot of Anchors” (600 Anchors) during exploration.
Great Adventurer
Unlock all other trophies.
Shimmer of the mountains
Complete the story of Holistacia the ranger.
As mentioned before, a story is a shorter variant where you learn the basics of the character and the game.
Here are a few general tips:
– Match the equipment with the cards. Make sure you get the correct elements (Leaves, shields, swords) in order to play your cards.
– Provide yourself with enough healing for durability.
– Go with high damage on smaller enemies
– Poison/Burn can work effectively on longer battles such as bosses
– Equip/buy new equipment when you find better ones
– Upgrade skill cards at temples.
The game helps you very much if it gets to difficult. You’ll be able to keep 1 gear piece from each character if you die. You can also retry as much as you like. Winning/losing chapters earns you EXP, unlocking new cards.
Below is a video of the final fight for reference. The game provides you with different skill cards and equipment each run. It is therefor impossible to tell you what to equip on a run.
