Stage 1 – Beat the game once (with God mode)
Welcome to yet another dungeon crawler! This game has 2 sections, the village and the dungeon.
Within the village, you will be able to upgrade your characters and build building. During the dungeon you can find new villagers, statues and many enemies. The dungeon has 3 parts (Forest, Desert, Volcano) for you to beat. Each part has a mini-boss and a final boss. Upon beating all world, you will face the final boss called the Void.
God mode
God mode is available from the main menu (Options → God mode). It needs to be enabled each time you start the restart the game from the PlayStation menu.
The mode itself doesn’t make you unkillable. It does give you a giant damage boost, which should make clearing the dungeons peanuts.
The unlockable statue Bedivere comes with the highest damage and HP (24). This should provide you with good odds to clear the dungeons faster once unlocked.
You can upgrade this character a bunch of times at the blacksmith, but it shouldn’t be needed.
Stage 2 – Get 10 more wins (with God mode)
As you beat the dungeon once, you will see many goals appear on the right side (once in the village). Focus on these as they may limit your progress. Upon clearing the game 8 times (filled up 8 cups) you will need to have the castle at level 5 before you can progress! The game will clearly state requirements like these, so do notice them!
Unlocking buildings will earn progression towards level 5. However, not all building do. Keep a close eye on the following icon as shown below. You may need to find missing villagers to unlock new buildings to make progress.
Some tips:
– The huntress provides you with bounties to get some extra gold
– The Blacksmith allows you to upgrade weapons
– Ametheryst allows you to unlock new characters (the statues) to play with.
– The following buildings provide no extra benefit (besides upgrading the kingdom): Mill (Irena), Librarian (Adeltia), Bard Song (Hermann), Circus (Jester).
– Sandra (Oracle’s hut) provides both negative and positive buffs at random. It’s not advised to use her services.
– Don’t upgrade visuals (walls, ground) as they don’t help increase the kingdom’s level. You will need to remove some rubble however.
