Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a multiplayer game that is perfect for all skill levels. Four proton-pack-wielding Ghostbusters attempt to catch a Ghost! Haunting unique locations in asymmetrical multiplayer battles (online or offline). As players progress, they will unlock cosmetics and upgrades for both Ghostbusters and Ghosts to evolve their gameplay experiences. This game will allow players to enjoy the game solo or with up to four friends. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has all the iconic gear and gadgets, from Proton Packs to PKE Meters and Ghost Traps, that fans would expect and new gamers to the universe will enjoy when playing as a Ghostbuster. Ghosts have multiple abilities in their arsenal, like possessing objects, of course sliming, and more, that make haunting all the various locations a blast to play. In addition, many will recognize the Firehouse and Ray’s Occult Books that act as the game’s hub. This is where players will choose missions, customize their characters, practice firing their proton packs, and explore all there is to learn.

Stage 1 – Play the Story Mode.

Complete the story mode which consists of 5 Acts. You will be at Level 30 for your Ghostbuster upon completing the story. After this point move onto Stage 2.

Special Notes
1. As you play through the Acts, do the requirements at the various levels. If you notice that your objective has changed or that you are not increasing your XP level, than you more than likely need to follow the next part of the story progression.
2. When you have finally become a full Ghostbuster at Level 30, you will only want to play as a ghostbuster so that you get them up to Level 50.
3. After step 2, switch to play as one particular ghost class only so that you can earn XP to get that ghost class up to Level 50. Overall, this means you will be somewhere around Level 72 – 75 if you follow steps 1 and 2.
4. Haunting an item will cause it to move around, and it will increase the amount that room is haunted. The more items you haunt in a room, the quicker the room will be haunted.
5. Possessing an object will allow your ghost to hide and move around. Some objects with wheels, will allow you to move quickly while you have possessed the object. This will increase the rate of recharging your Ghost Meter energy.

Stage 2 – Play Matches for all other trophies.

You will play matches on the 5 maps where you will need to collect all newspaper clippings (5 per location/1 per match) and perform certain tasks as a Ghostbuster as you rank up to Level 50. You will need to play as a Ghost and rank up one of the classes of Ghost to Level 50. Playing as a Ghost you will also need to perform certain tasks along the way to eventually earn all trophies.

Legendary Buster
Earn all other trophies.

Congratulations on your shiny new platinum!

Swift Removers
Destroy all Ghost rifts within 5 minutes of the match start.

For any location, playing as a Ghostbuster, you will need to find all 3 rifts and destroy them within 5 minutes of starting the match. The rifts are typically far away from each other and some maps are easier to quickly search like the Whitestone Museum and the Clock Tower Brewery and Pub If the rifts have yet to be discovered, they will be in the artifacts (book -Tobin’s Spirit Guide, Stone Statue, and Vase). See the pictures below.

Meticulously Efficient
Bust a Ghost with less than 1,000 dollars worth of property damage.

As a ghostbuster, you will need to capture a ghost without doing 1,000 dollars of property damage. You can earn this by being very careful in using your tools, especially your Particle Thrower and your P.K.E. Meter.

Catastrophic Destroyer
Do 5,000,000 Dollars of Career Property Damage.

As a ghostbuster, you will need to cause extensive property damage over the time that you play as a ghostbuster. The Whitestone Museum is a great place to quickly earn lots of property damage as there are lots of display items on the floor, walls, in display cases, and hanging from the ceiling that you can destroy. Also, there decorative parts of the walls (cement and plaster parts) can also be destroyed to earn a great deal of property damage dollars. This will be earned over multiple matches as it accumulates naturally.

Seasoned
Reach Profile Level 50.

As a ghostbuster, you will need to level up your character up so that they achieve a full Level 50. You will need to complete lots of matches while you play to earn all other ghostbuster related trophies for the game. However, this may become a grind if you have quickly earned the other trophies. It is recommended to not switch to playing as a ghost character until you have completed this trophy.

Animated
Haunt 50 Objects in a single match.

While playing as a ghost you will need to have possessed and unpossessed 50 objects during a single match. This should be your only focus for this match so that you quickly earn this trophy.

Terrifying
Send 5 Civis to Horrified state within 10 seconds as ghost.

As a ghost, you will be able to scare the civilians within a match location. The civilians are randomly dispersed throughout a level. It is recommended to use the Rock Island Prison. You should start by haunting some items within the various rooms and hallways except for the large room with the bell and the library/seating area rooms. Always scare them where ever they are not in any groups together. This way they will congregate in an area that is less or has no haunted items within it. When the civilians are relatively close together you will need to make sure that your ghost meter is full so that you can unleash your ghost ultimate, use the dash ability (if needed), and be able to scare them quickly to that you cause 5 of them are in the horrified state (meter indicator is red) within 10 seconds. See the picture below.

Ectoplasmic Entity
Fully Haunt a Location without Getting captured Once.

As a ghost, you will need to haunt at least 5 – 10 items in a particular room and then repeat in any area. Continue to do this while not getting captured over the course of a match. Your rifts can all be destroyed as this is not affecting this trophy. You will need to avoid the ghostbusters by dashing away from them and possessing items to move around a level while recharging your ghost meter. You can get caught in the ghostbusters particle beams (tethers), however you must break free and not get captured.

Cultured
Complete a Job at each location.

Play and win a match at all 5 different locations in the game. The locations are: Whitestone Museum, Hudson Canyon Lodge, Rock Island Prison, Clock Tower Brewery and Pub, and RMS Artemisia. See the picture below.

Fully Upgraded
Equip an upgrade to every slot of a piece of gear.

You have 4 different gear that you can upgrade different parts of them. The 4 gears you have are: Particle Thrower, Proton Pack, P.K.E. Meter, and Ghost Trap. Choose any of the 4 gears and upgrade all the different parts for it. The ability to upgrade gear and gear parts will unlock as you progress through the game. The game will notify you when you level up your Ghostbuster that a new upgrade is available. You will see a symbol of an exclamation mark in yellow over either the Customize Gear table in the alleyway or upstairs in the back tech room. See the pictures below.

Master Collector
Find all secret clippings for every location.

All 5 locations in the game have 5 secret clippings that you can collect. They are highlighted in a yellow glow and with a yellow dot above. There will only be 1 secret clipping available at any given location at a time. Therefore, you would have to play a minimum of 25 sessions where you have collected the secret clipping in the location every time. They are randomly placed in the locations as they could be in any room: on the floor, on a shelf or table, inside the pot of a plant, etc. You can go to Ray’s in the main hub of the game and there is a clipboard with all the secret clippings that you have discovered on them. See the pictures below.

Legions
Capture 1 of each of the 5 Ghost Types.

There are 5 types of ghosts in the game. The five types are: Ectoplast, Ghouly, Basher, Howler, and Poltergeist. When you play Job sessions as a ghostbuster, the ghost will be random unless you play with others online who play as any of the already unlocked ghost types. Use your Ghost Trap to capture at least one of each of the 5 types of ghosts. See the pictures below.

Summoner
Summon 100 minions.

When playing as a ghost, you will be able to summon minions that will scare the ghostbusters and civilians in the area. After playing many Job sessions, you will naturally earn this trophy as long as you use the ability to summon minions frequently. Note: Remember that you can quickly recharge your ghost meter energy by possessing an item and then moving it over a long distance or around in a circle. See the picture below.

Escape Artist
Break free from a 4 Buster tether.

When playing as a ghost, you will need to escape from the 4 ghostbusters all using their Buster on you at the same time. You will see a visual indicator on the screen showing that you have been tethered by all 4 ghostbusters. To quickly escape you will need to smash the square button to break free. If you are caught in this part, you can still break free by smashing the circle button and moving away from the ghost trap to try to break free. See the picture below.

Ghostbuster in Training
Capture 25 Ghosts.

As a ghostbuster you will need to capture at least 25 ghosts over the course of many Job sessions. There is only 1 ghost per Job session so a minimum of 25 Job sessions will need to be played.

Ultimate Defense
Down all 4 Busters with an Ultimate ability 5 times.

Over many Job sessions, you will need to play as a ghost and will need to use your Ultimate ability on all 4 ghostbusters at the same time. This is the triangle button that releases the Ultimate ability. It has a long charging time so use it carefully. It is best to use this ability when you are in a narrow hallway or small room so that the 4 ghostbusters will be close enough together. See the picture below.

Diabolical
Sabotage the entire team of Buster’s Proton Packs in one match.

Playing as a ghost, you can be behind a ghostbuster and sabotage their proton pack so that it malfunctions. To sabotage their proton pack press and hold the square button until it is sabotaged. You will need to sabotage all 4 of the ghostbusters’ Proton Packs over the course of one game session. It is recommended to do this when the ghostbusters are focused on calming a civilian, destroying a rift, or you have slimmed them causing them to be temporarily unable to move. See the picture below.

Icing on the Cake
Pass Through a Buster to fully slime them down.

As a ghost, you will be able to dash for a short period of time before your ghost meter will be depleted. It is also recommended to use your two other abilities to spawn minions (L1) and to use your other Unique ability like slime (R1). Each ghost will have a Unique ability that can be useful for different situations.

For example, Slimer can use the Unique Slime ability to spew slime at the ghostbusters and this may slime them to the ground. You can also choose any ghostbuster and dash directly into them and you will pass right through them and slime them down. It is recommended to try to catch the ghostbuster off guard like when they are walking narrower areas like doorways and hallways, or when they are reviving another ghostbuster. If they do not have a chance to react, this will increase the likelihood that you will successfully slime them down to the floor.

Ghost Expert
Fully Level up a Ghost Class

Playing as a ghost, you will need to level up one ghost class to Level 50. (This is not the same as your ghostbuster, as they too will need to get to Level 50.) You can use any of the variations within a ghost type and it will still count towards that particular ghost class. Therefore, since this is a long process to level up a ghost class, it is recommended to use the default ghost class that unlocks the earliest in the game which is Ectoplast. See ‘Icing on the Cake‘ trophy description for a picture of the Ectoplast variant know as Slimer.

Back Off
Down a buster that is reviving another buster.

Playing as a ghost, you will need to dash through a ghostbuster that is in the process of reviving another ghostbuster that you have slime down. To do this effectively, you will need to slime down a ghostbuster, haunt an item and quickly move around in it so recharge your ghost meter, exit the object, and then dash directly into the ghostbuster that is in the process of reviving another ghostbuster. See the pictures below.

Liability
Do 1,000,000 Dollars of Career Property Damage.

Playing as a ghostbuster you will need to cause 1,000,000 Dollars of property damage over the course of one or more Job sessions. The best location to earn a great deal of property damage is the Whitestone Museum. You can destroy all the exhibits on display, glass panes, display notices, banners, vending machines, and the decorative parts (cement and plaster) of the walls that have cement edging near the bottoms (gray bottom and brown top portions to the ceiling).

Vaporous Expansion
Unlock a Ghost class variant.

As you play as one particular ghost type, you will naturally level up this ghost type. As you do so, you will eventually unlock new ghost classes and variants of them. As soon as you unlock your first ghost class variant, you will earn this trophy.

Surprise!
Down a Buster within 10 seconds of exiting a wall phase.

While playing as a ghost, you will be able to pass through these wall phases that look like circular cracks in the walls. There will be two of these in a level. As soon as you come near one of these, it will open a blue swirl and you can enter it by dashing towards it. It is a warping tube that will immediately transport you to the exit wall location.

You will need to have enough energy in your ghost meter to be able to dash through the wall phase and then be able to dash through one of the ghostbusters on the other side within 10 seconds of coming out of the wall phase. It is recommended to use the Clock Tower Brewery and Pub wall phase that is in the back stairwell near the restaurant and the other wall phase is in the restaurant kitchen. You can lure the ghostbusters to this area by moving one of your rifts to either of the two rooms that have the wall phase in them. When the ghostbusters are focused on the rift, you will have an easier setup to slime them down. See the picture below.

Tobin’s Prodigy
Fully Haunt 10 Locations as a Ghost.

As a ghost, you will need to win the game session 10 times. You can speed up the process of haunting a location by possessing and haunting at least 5 – 10 items per room, or exposing your rifts and allowing them to be destroyed. These actions will decrease the amount of time needed to have a location become more haunted. Eventually, the game will begin a countdown that the location is becoming more haunted and that it will soon be completely haunted. You will need to avoid being captured by the ghostbusters at any time during this time as there will not be any more rifts in the game. Therefore, you will want to haunt items, use your dash to move quickly and stay as far away from the ghostbusters as possible.

Line em’ up
Pass through all 4 busters within a 3 second window.

Playing as a ghost, you will need to have enough energy in your ghost meter to be able to dash. You will also want to attempt this trophy when the ghostbusters are all in a confined area like a doorway, narrow hallway, or when they are trying to destroy a rift and they are lined up together like on a stairway. When they are in any of these types of situations, you will need to dash through them all at once. This is the easiest way to ensure that you pass through all 4 of the ghostbusters within a 3 second window.

Right back at ya
Break a tether and down the buster who tethered you within 10 seconds.

Playing as a ghost, you will need to have at least one ghostbuster that has tethered you with their particle thrower. You will need to break free from them and then dash right through the ghostbuster that you just broke free from their tether. As soon as you break free from the tether, you will need to slime them to the floor. You can also use your Unique ability to help slime them to the floor like Slimers’ Unique Slime ability.

Little Help Here
Horrify 50 Civilians with Minions.

Playing as a ghost, you will have the ability to spawn a small group of minions that will chase and attack the civilians and ghostbusters. The civilians will need to be in a calm state, and as a ghost you will need to be within about 6 – 10 m away from them when you spawn the minions. If you are too close to the civilians then they will be scared by the ghost and not the minions. After you have scared 50 civilians with minions you will earn this trophy.

Rivalry
Down the same buster 5 times in a single match.

Playing as a ghost, you will need to slime down the same ghostbuster five different times within a single game. If you notice one ghostbuster that is off by themselves then focus on attacking them and dashing through them. Once the ghostbuster has revived, you can repeat the same process. In-between when the ghostbuster is down, you will need to recharge your ghost meter so that you have enough energy to use your abilities again. If successful, you will have slimed down one particular ghostbuster five times within the single game.

Rift Seeker
Uncover 50 Rifts.

As a ghostbuster, you can use your P.K.E. Meter to help you locate any hidden rifts in artifacts or any other objects that the ghost may have moved them to. Your P.K.E. Meter will change to an orange ring when you are really close to an object that has a rift inside. If the object is moving than it is either a possessed object or haunted object by the ghost. These will not have a rift inside. An object with a rift inside will not be moving. Use your P.K.E. Meter to blast the object (R2) or your particle thrower (R2) to break open the object exposing the rift. Do this 50 times over the course of many Job sessions.

Fragile Panes
Destroy 150 Panes of Glass.

The Whitestone Museum as the most amount of display cases with panes of glass. This is the best location to quickly earn this trophy. However, the other locations do have panes of glass in them, some have more than others. Use your particle thrower to quickly destroy at least 150 panes of glass.

Solo Capture
Capture a Ghost all by yourself.

As a ghostbuster, you will need to capture a ghost without any help from the other ghostbusters. You can use your P.K.E. Meter to stun it, set an open ghost trap, and then use your particle thrower to tether it into the open ghost trap.

Daily Dose
Complete a daily challenge.

When you play a match, at the start there will be a daily challenge listed for you to complete. Do not worry about completing this until after you have completed Acts 1 – 5 from the story. Play as either a Ghostbuster or Ghost depending on the requirements and then complete them. These daily challenges change every day. You can view the Daily Challenge in the Contracts from the Side Hustle desk in the Firehouse. See the “Side Hustle” trophy for a picture shown this as an example.

Clutch Capture
Capture a ghost with less than 30 seconds to spare on the clock.

Playing as a ghostbuster, as you near the end of any Job session, there will be a timer counting down the final seconds of the game. You will need to capture a ghost with less than 30 seconds left on the timer’s clock before the game ends.

Whoopsie
Destroy a very Expensive Object.

At the location of RMS Artemisia, there is a Poseidon Statue on the second floor that counts as an Expensive Object. You will need to use your particle thrower to destroy it. See the pictures below.

Reckless
Do 100,000 Dollars of Property damage in one Job.

See the “Catastrophic Destroyer” trophy for more information.

Teamwork
Pull a Ghost into a trap with a 4 person tether.

Playing as a ghostbuster, you will need to have all 4 ghostbusters using their particle throwers to tether a ghost into an open ghost trap to capture it.

Therapeutic
Calm down 100 civilians from Scared state.

Playing as a ghostbuster, there will be civilians that are roaming the location. The civilians will become scared as you start to use your gear and/or if they see a ghost or minions. The civilians will run away and be in a scared state shown above their head in either yellow (sad) or orange (sadder). During these two colors of the scared state, a ghostbuster can approach them to try to calm them down. When you initiate the calming process, there will be a Quick-Time Event that occurs where you will need to press when indicated to help calm the civilian. A civilian will have a blue color (neutral) above their head when they are calm. If you do this successfully, the civilian will return to a calm state. However, there is a possibility that they could become more scared while you are trying to calm them if they see the ghost, minions, or another ghostbuster using their gear close by. You will need to successfully calm down 100 civilians from the scared state. It is impossible to calm a civilian when they have reach the scared state that has a red color (terrified) above their head, as they will be terrified and they will leave the location.

Discovery
Break open an artifact to reveal a Rift.

There are 3 artifacts in the game: Stone Sculpture, Tobin’s Book, and Vase. Either use a blast from your P.K.E. Meter or your particle thrower to break the artifact to reveal a Rift. See “Swift Removers” trophy description of pictures of these artifacts. See the picture below.

Advancement
Equip an upgrade to a piece of gear.

You have 4 different gear that you can upgrade different parts of them. The 4 gear are: Particle Thrower, Proton Pack, P.K.E. Meter, and Ghost Trap. Choose any of the 4 gear and upgrade one of the parts for it.

We have the best insurance
Finish a Job with the location totaled.

You will need to get a rating of Catastrophically Destroyed Building at the end of the match. This is about 1 million Dollars in Property Damage. An easy location is the Whitestone Museum where you can destroy lots of the displayed items, glass panes, decorative wall features, display signs, vending machines, etc. Not all items can be destroyed and their Dollar values will vary.

Mycophile
Collect all Spores, Molds, and Fungi in a location.

At any given location, you will need to collect all 30 Spores, Molds, and Fungi. This should be your only focus when trying to complete this trophy as it needs to be done during one match. They can be on the floor, shelves, inside plant pots/beds, behind items, etc. However, they will emit a glowing color as you are near them otherwise some are not seen from further away. You will need to cover all rooms and areas within a location.

Skilled
Fully Level up a piece of Gear.

As you play as a ghostbuster, as you move up levels, you will unlock new upgrades for your gear. You can go to the Customize Gear tables either in the alleyway or upstairs back room of the Firehouse. You can select any of your 4 gear (Particle Thrower, Proton Pack, P.K.E. Meter, or Ghost Trap) and then upgrade any available options for it. Once you have fully leveled up a piece of gear by choosing the unlocked upgrades, you will earn this trophy. See “Fully Upgraded” trophy description for more details.

Side Hustle
Fully Complete a Contract.

There is a table before the area where the main desk is in the Firehouse where Jobs are located. Click on the Contract and choose whichever Contract you want to complete. Some are easy and quick to earn (only 3 requirements) while others will be harder and more time consuming (8+ requirements). See the picture below.

Pesky Jerks
Destroy 100 Minions.

The Minions are the termites of the ghost world and they are the small ghosts that attack and chase the Ghostbusters and civilians. You will only need to destroy 100 of them with either your P.K.E. Meter blast and/or your particle thrower to earn this trophy.

There you are!
PKE Blast Flush a Ghost out of hiding.

As a ghostbuster, you can use your P.K.E. Meter to track the location of a ghost to a particular object that you can destroy. Your P.K.E. Meter will have an orange indicator when you are near by and a complete orange indicator ring when you are really close to it. Use the Blast feature (R2) of the P.K.E. Meter to destroy the object and force the Ghost to come out of hiding.

Stunner
Stun a Ghost with your PKE Blast 25 Times.

As a ghostbuster, you will be able to use your P.K.E. Meter to help you locate the ghost in a location. When you are very close to the ghost, you can press R2 to blast the ghost. This blast feature will need to recharge over time before you can use it again. By using the blast it will temporarily stun the ghost for a few seconds. Repeat this 25 times over the course of many games to earn this trophy.

Collector
Find all location secret clippings for a single location.

For each location there are 5 secret clippings and there is only one available per match to find and collect. There are 25 total secret clippings and you can view the bulletin board in Ray’s to see which ones you have collected. See the picture below.

Rift Destroyer
Help Destroy 30 Rifts.

As a ghostbuster, you can use your P.K.E. Meter to help you locate the rifts at a location. There will always be 3 rifts per location every game. When a rift is exposed you will be able to use your particle thrower to blast it so that it is eventually destroyed. These can be destroyed by yourself or with any combination of the other ghostbusters. It is easiest to destroy them when more of the ghostbusters are destroying them together.
Note: There is a brief amount of time that a small crosshairs target appears and if you hit it, this will earn a great deal more damage to the rift. Destroy 30 of the rifts and you will earn this trophy.

Welcome to the Crew
Unlock all story elements.

There are 5 Acts that are the story elements for this game. Upon completing them your Ghostbuster will be at Level 30 and at this point you can freely play as either a Ghost or Ghostbuster for as many matches as you need to earn all trophies.

I collect Spores, Molds, and Fungi
Collect 500 Spores, Molds, and Fungi.

In every match location there are always 30 of these to collect. They will have a glowing red, green, or blue color around them. As you collect more, you will earn more XP to rank up your Ghostbuster. They can only be collected while playing as a Ghostbuster.

I don’t need these
Detonate all 3 of your rifts during 1 match and still win.

Playing as a Ghost, you will need to find all 3 of your Rifts, haunt them, unpossess them, and then collect the Rift. To find a Rift location, you can press (L2) and it will show the direction and distance from you. Next, drop the Rift and detonate it. However, if the Ghostbusters have found any of your Rifts, you will need to collect it, drop it away from them, and then detonate it before they destroy it. If you get captured as a Ghost before all 3 Rifts have been detonated, then you will need to try again in another match. After you have all 3 destroyed by your Ghost, you will notice that the location has been increasingly more haunted. The amount of time left in the match will be very little and it only requires that you do not get captured by the Ghostbusters and you win the match by driving them out of the location that is now completely haunted. See the picture below.

Stylish
Equip an unlocked cosmetic item to your Buster.

There is a row of wardrobes where you can click on them to do a Customization of your Ghostbuster. As you progress through the game, you will naturally unlock various clothing and style items that you can pick for your Ghostbuster. The first time you choose an unlocked item, you will earn this trophy.
