Stage 1 – Explore and do missions until Level 30.

Welcome to the trophy guide for Elex 2 developed by Piranha Bytes and published by THQ Nordic. The game is a sequel to the hit action RPG Elex that was released in 2017. The platinum trophy is meant to be earned across multiple playthroughs but it can easily be done in one with good save management. Read through the trophy descriptions in the guide to get a good idea of what is needed. Don’t feel overwhelmed; it is actually very easy to not miss anything.

Here is an overview of some steps that you should follow, along with some tips to help get the platinum in just one playthrough:

  • Make sure that you always keep save file 1 as your character that has not joined any factions. Your save should say you are an “Enforcer”. This means you are not tied to any faction.
  • Play the game on Story difficulty. There are no difficulty related trophies.
  • Loot everything and explore everywhere. Items stack in your inventory and there is no weight system. Hold the cross button to sneak to steal items. If the eye icon in the bottom left of the screen is closed, then no one can see you and you won’t get caught.
  • Don’t spend money on anything but fuel and skill/Elex recipes to make sure you have enough to pay all of the skill trainers when you get to that point.
  • Prioritize side missions over main missions to keep leveled up. Level 30 is a requirement for some of the faction related trophies.
  • Get to level 30 and then tackle all of the faction related trophies.
  • Do not spend attribute points after you are able to equip a decent weapon.
  • Don’t spend skill points on anything except for “Additional Tank” in the Jetpack skill tree.
  • Keep an eye on the “Pass A38” trophy. It can easily be missed based on your choices in the mission and will require about an hour playthrough of a new game if you miss it.
  • Once you get to the mission where you are tasked with confronting the Changeling, move to Stage 2 of the trophy guide.

Stage 2 – Finish all miscellaneous/missable trophies then finish the game.

Make sure that you have done all of the other trophies besides “Perfectionist”.
Here are the trophies that you should keep an eye on:

  • “Berserker” – Go to the Berserker’s fort and begin the questline by trying to go into the fort. After you progress through the questline, you will be asked to join by Rat. You should reload your save afterwards to remain neutral.
  • “Cleric” – After reaching level 30, go through the Alb questline that starts at their depot and Azok will make you a Trooper. Ask him for another mission and he will send you to get “Hagen’s Orders” from a group of Outlaws. Take them to Hagen in the Cleric’s castle and he will give another mission. Keep faithful to the Clerics in the dialogues and Hagen will offer to make you a Cleric. You should reload your save afterwards to remain neutral.
  • “Outlaw” – After reaching level 30, talk to Hector in the restricted area of the Outlaw crater. Express interest in joining and the quest “Glory to the Rabble” will start. Go to the Morkon grotto and proceed through the questline. When you meet Ivika, agree with her in all of the dialogues. You will eventually be asked to pick someone to promote. Choose Dmitry. Go back to the Outlaws hidden in the grotto and they will send you to Hector. He will then offer to make you an Outlaw. You should reload your save afterwards to remain neutral.
  • “Alb” – Go to the Alb depot and talk to Azok and the Alb questline will begin. After completing “An Alb Agent”, he will offer to make you an Alb. You should reload your save afterwards to remain neutral.
  • “Morkon” – Go to the Morkon grotto and you will be taken on a tour. This will begin the Morkon questline. After deciding Khan’s fate, you will be asked to join the Morkons. You should reload your save afterwards to remain neutral.
  • “Pass A38” – While doing the “Berserker’s Trust” mission to join the Berserkers, you will be tasked with helping Thorhild. Eventually, her workers will leave and be at Chloe’s bar. Talk to Butch and offer to get them more shards and that you will talk to Fenris. Fenris will send you to Tilas, who will send you to Raik back at the bar. Raik will have you come back the next day and lead you to an Outlaw ambush. Defeat the Outlaw and talk to Raik again. Tell him to leave and never return. Talk to Tilas, then Butch, then Thorhild and this will complete the mission.
  • “Detective” – Do each task requested of you from the children Justin, Bobby, and Petra in the Berserker fort. This will start their mission. Complete it to pop the trophy.
  • “Toy Time” – Talk to Makar in the far east classroom in the Alb depot. Be nice to him through the dialogue. Return the next day and he will give you the “Smuggling Toys” mission. Complete the mission.
  • “Irissa’s Fate” – While doing “An Alb Agent” for the Albs, you will decide Irissa’s fate. Pick an option to pop the trophy.
  • “Eternal Oblivion” – While doing the Morkon questline, you will be tasked with deciding Khan’s fate. Duel and kill him and you will pop the trophy.
  • “Hotshot” – Unlock all combat skills. Reload your save to get your skill points back.
  • “Unbreakable” – Unlock all survival skills. Reload your save to get your skill points back.
  • “Self-Sufficient” – Unlock all crafting skills. Reload your save to get your skill points back.
  • “Idealist” – Unlock all character skills. Reload your save to get your skill points back.
  • “Free as a Bird” – Unlock all Jetpack skills. Reload your save to get your skill points back. The only skills you should unlock before going for the respective skill tree trophies are “Additional Tank” and “Fuel Capacity”.
  • “Military Leader” – Recruit 5 companions.
  • “Storyteller” – Find 20 audio logs.
  • “Key Master” – Pick 100 locks. You can reload a save and pick the same lock until the trophy pops.
  • “Computer Scientist” – Hack 30 safes. You can reload a save and hack the same safe until the trophy pops.
  • “Entrepreneur” – Receive 1000 shards.
  • “Banker” – Receive 10,000 shards.
  • “Treasurer” – Receive 50,000 shards. You can reload a save after receiving them at the end of a mission and keep reloading your save after turning the mission in to pop the trophy.
  • “Drinker” – Drink 100 health potions. You can save, stock up on them, use them, then reload your save until the trophy pops.
  • “Creator” – Reach a destruction level of less than 10. Make good dialogue choices. They are usually the top option. In Chapter 2, you can save, donate money to Thialg at the Bastion to lower your destruction, and reload until you pop the trophy.
  • “Destroyer” – Reach a destruction level above 90. Make bad dialogue choices. They are usually the bottom options. Killing innocent creatures boosts destruction also. You can also make a save and kill a lot of NPCs to pop the trophy and reload your save afterwards. Focus on this during your playthrough first since Thialg will accept donations to lower your destruction in Chapter 2.
  • “Fire in the Hole” – Kill 10 enemies with hand grenades. Acquire some hand grenades and find an innocent creature. Save, kill the creatures with grenades, and load until the trophy pops.

Refer to each individual trophy for more details and the easiest way possible to unlock it. After this is done, defeat the Changeling and leave the area. You will pop the final trophies of the game.

Platinum
Unlocked all trophies.

Congratulations on another hard-earned platinum!

Perfectionist
Elex II completed.

Story related. This will unlock after you defeat the Changeling and leave the area.

Enforcer
500 monsters killed.

Monsters can be found out in the wild and will respawn after a while. Kill every monster you encounter, and you will easily earn this trophy as you work towards the platinum.

Socializer
300 missions completed.

Missions are found all over. They can be given to you from job boards, NPCs, and companions. Work on all of them before you try to progress in the story. This should unlock naturally on the way to the platinum.

Pack Rat
Collected 100,000 items.

While exploring, loot everything you come across. There is no item weight system, so you are free to loot to your heart’s content. Explore every building that you come across while exploring. If you are doing a quest where you are following an NPC through a new area, they will wait for you while you go explore.

Creator
Destruction is below 10.

Destruction is the karma system in Elex II. Making good dialogue choices (usually the top choice in a conversation) will reward you by lowering your destruction. Eventually, you will unlock this trophy. In Chapter 2, Thialg will be at the Bastion. You can donate to him to lower your destruction level and reload your save to get your money back. It is very possible to get this and “Destroyer” in one playthrough.

Destroyer
Destruction is over 90.

Destruction is the karma system in Elex II. Making bad/mean dialogue choices, and killing innocent people/animals will make your destruction grow. You will unlock this trophy when it is over 90. Work on this during your playthrough first since you can donate to Thialg in Chapter 2 to lower your destruction. It is very possible to get this and “Creator” in one playthrough.

Warrior
200 monsters killed.

Monsters can be found out in the wild and will respawn after a while. Kill every monster you encounter, and you will easily earn this trophy as you work towards the platinum.

C.R.O.N.Y. U4 location.

Family Reunion
Wardek found.

Story related and unmissable.

Lover
“Old Love Doesn’t Rust” completed.

This trophy is for romancing Caja. While she is following you, pick dialogue decisions that she likes and be nice to people. Dialogues that lower your destruction are typically what she likes. Whenever you talk to her and ask how she is doing, you can see her loyalty towards you. Once she reaches the level where she admires you, you can ask to try a relationship again with her. This will start the “Old Love Doesn’t Rust” mission. Sleep a few times and talk to her again. Pick the top dialogue. You will get a cutscene and the mission will complete and the trophy will pop.

There is a way to boost Caja’s loyalty to you, but it requires a lot of Elex. Make sure Caja is following you and save your game. Go to the Alb’s Depot and across from Nyra’s and the classroom, there will be an Alb named Lokev. He will ask for one Elex. Give it to him, and Caja’s opinion of you will grow. Go up the ramp next to Lokev and sleep in the bed until morning. Leave and talk to Lokev again and give him an Elex. Repeat this process until Caja reaches the loyalty of admiring you and she will initiate the conversation that leads into the “Old Love Doesn’t Rust” mission. After completing it and getting the trophy, you can reload your save to get all of your Elex back.

Berserker
Joined the Berserkers.

Proceed through the questline “The Berserkers’ Trust” until you meet Rat in the Upper District. Accept his offer to start the “Rat’s Paranoia” quest. Afterwards, you can ask to join him, and he will make you a member of the Berserkers if your destruction level is low enough. Load a save afterwards if you are trying for the “Defector” trophy.

Cleric
Joined the Clerics.

Level 30 required. Go to the Cleric’s castle. There, you can speak to Hagen and Reinhold. Show interest in joining them. They will tell you that you need to become an Alb to join them. Reach the rank of Trooper by doing missions for the Albs and then ask Azok for another mission. This will send you to a group of Outlaws. Deal with them however you want and get the item Hagen’s Orders. Instead of taking this to Azok, take it to Hagen. He will send you to talk to Viola. Agree with her pro-Cleric dialogues and don’t take them back to the Depot. Talk to Hagen and ask him what he needs. He will give another mission to meet up with a group after waiting three days. Sleep in a bed and go to the marker. Talk to Shira after her speech and accept the Clerics. Deal with her however you wish and return to Hagen. He will allow you to join the Clerics if you are level 30. You can save beforehand, join them to pop the trophy, and reload if you are going for the “Defector” trophy.

Outlaw
Joined the Outlaws.

Level 30 required. Go to the Outlaw’s Crater and speak to Hector. Show interest in joining him and the mission “Glory to the Rabble” will begin. You will need to become a Berserker or Morkon to proceed. A simple way to do this is to follow the Morkon questline and agree with all of Ivika’s requests whenever you meet her during the amulet quest. Eventually, you will look for a replacement and Dmitry is one of the options. Pick him and report back to the Outlaws in the tunnel. They will tell you to talk to Hector in the Crater and he will make you an Outlaw. You can save beforehand, join them to pop the trophy, and reload if you are going for the “Defector” trophy.

Alb
Joined the Albs.

Go to the Alb’s Depot and start their mission “An Alb Agent” by talking to Irissa and Azok. After completing the mission, speak to Azok and ask to join them. You can save beforehand, join them to pop the trophy, and reload if you are going for the “Defector” trophy.

Morkon
Joined the Morkons.

Go to the Morkon’s Grotto and a guard will take you on a tour. This will start the Morkon questline where you need to gain Khan’s approval. After completing the mission with Vlad, you are tasked to show your loyalty. Either pay 1000 Shards or fight in the arena. Khan will ask you to follow him and decide his fate. Kill him and then you can ask to join the Morkons. You can save beforehand, join them to pop the trophy, and reload if you are going for the “Defector” trophy.

Defector
Decided not to join a faction.

Progress through the game without joining a faction. You can save, join a faction and pop the corresponding trophy, and reload. Eventually, you will get a main mission where you have to search for Adam. He will ask if you have joined a faction yet. Continue the dialogue and the trophy will pop.

Pass A38
Raik forgoes his salary to benefit the Cultivators.

As part of the “Berserker’s Trust” mission, you will need to help Thorhild. Talk to her and she will mention that she needs tools. Go to the blacksmith in the fort named Lasse. He will say that he needs 25 pieces of iron. If you did Scrappy’s mission in the mine, you should have that if you looted and mined. If not, return to the mine southeast of the fort and collect some. Give Lasse the iron and he will ask what to make. Pick either option and return to Thorhild with the news. She will tell you that all of her workers ran off. Go to Chloe’s bar in the fort and talk to Butch. Keep picking the top dialogue options to try to get him and the other workers higher wages. Return to Thorhild and tell her you will talk to Fenris to get the workers more shards. Fenris will send you to Tilas, who will send you to his assistant, Raik. Raik will tell you to come back tomorrow. Sleep in a bed until morning and return to Raik. He will have you follow him to an Outlaw who you will have to fight. Go talk to Raik and tell him to leave and never come back. Return to Tilas and tell him Raik is gone. Talk to Butch in the bar and return to Thorhild. This will complete the quest and pop the trophy.

Detective
“Hitch and the Three Investigators” completed.

Talk to Justin in the Berserker Fort. He will run off after the conversation. Next, go to Bobby north of Chloe’s bar. He will give you a quest called “Guard the old bottles”. Wait after the quest starts, and a guard will approach. Talk to him and a bum will approach. Give him 20 shards to go away and the quest is complete. Go to Petra who is located by the northeastern wall of the fort. She will ask you to follow her. Follow her and talk to her about the cigarettes. She will then go inside the nearby house and talk to Hitch. Follow her when she runs off and she will meet up with Bobby and Justin. Eavesdrop on them and find out that Justin sends them off on various tasks for two days. Sleep in the nearby inn for a couple days or return later. Head back to the meeting area and the children will have another conversation to eavesdrop on. Justin will confront you afterwards. Accept his quest and you will receive “Striker’s Notebook”. Read it in your log and talk to Justin. Tell him the truth about the notebook. He will send you to talk to Fenris. Talk to him and be honest about the children figuring out the crime. Return to the Justin and speak with him. This will complete the mission and pop the trophy.

Toy Time
“Smuggling Toys” completed.

In Alzea’s classroom in the far eastern building of the Alb’s Depot, there is a child named Makar. Sleep in a bed in the building across from the classroom and choose evening. Go into the classroom and talk to Makar. He will ask some questions; be nice to him and mention that Berserker children play with toys. After the conversation, sleep until evening a few more times and go back. Talk to Makar again in the classroom and agree to help him and you will start the mission “Smuggling Toys”. Follow the quest marker to the Berserker fort and talk to the children. Petra will have you talk to Justin and Bobby and ask if they have a toy for you. Ask them both, then ask Petra again. She will give you a toy. Bring the toy back to Makar and you will complete the mission and pop the trophy.

Irissa’s Fate
Decide Irissa’s fate.

Talk to Irissa when you reach the Alb’s main area. You will do a somewhat lengthy questline for her involving a bomb exploding and going with Zarek to the Outlaws’ Crater. At the end of the “An Alb Agent” quest, you will confront Irissa, make a decision, and pop the trophy.

Legendary
Discover the secret of the old map.

Find all 16 map pieces and place them on the puzzle wall in Bastion. It is located next to the Jet Pack upgrade table on the floor above Adam. This will start a quest called “Well-Guarded Secret”. Follow the objective to Old Ironworks and interact with the console. The password is Infinite Skies Inc. You will receive a Prototype item that cannot be sold. It rewards you with more XP and reveals all teleporters on the map. See “Treasure Hunter” for a list of map piece locations.

Eternal Oblivion
“Khan’s Execution” completed.

After gaining Khan’s approval in the Morkon’s Grotto questline, he will ask you to follow him. He will want an honorable death, so duel him and kill him. The trophy will unlock. You will be able to join the Morkons afterwards.

You can tell if the safe is a low level by interacting with it and pressing triangle to hack it. If it allows you to, then it is a low level one. Save your game, hack it, and reload your save. The safe code will not change, so repeat this process until you unlock the trophy.

Peddler
20 merchants found.

Merchants are located all over each faction’s main area. You can also find NPC’s called “Traveling Merchant” that will also sell you items. Once you talk to them, they will appear on your map as a money bag. As long as you are exploring thoroughly and talking to all named NPC’s, you should get this easily.

Entrepreneur
1,000 elexit shards received.

See the “Treasurer” trophy description.

Banker
10,000 elexit shards received.

See the “Treasurer” trophy description.

Treasurer
50,000 elexit shards received.

Elexit Shards are the currency in Elex II. This trophy is for receiving them, not selling items for them. Keep doing missions to earn shards and you will unlock this. One trick to make this very easy is to find a mission that rewards you with Elexit. Save before turning it in. Turn the mission to get the shards and reload your save. Repeat this process to easily pop the trophy.

Drinker
Healed by potions 100 times.

Healing potions can be bought, brewed, and found. Save your game, use all of them from your inventory, and load your save. Repeat this process until the trophy pops.

Hunter
20 monsters killed.

Monsters can be found out in the wild and will respawn after a while. Kill every monster you encounter, and you will earn this trophy as you work towards the platinum.

Defender
20 Skyands killed.

Skyands can be encountered during the “Enemy Scouts” main mission. If you want to get the trophy out of the way quickly, save before fighting the 5 Skyands and reload after killing them. Regardless, this trophy should unlock naturally through the course of the story.

Ruthless
30 innocent creatures killed.

Innocent creatures include: Cavebirds, Rats, Grotto Birds, and Isopods. Killing innocent creatures will increase your destruction level. Earning the “Creator” trophy before switching focus on gaining destruction for the “Destroyer” trophy is recommended.

Fire in the Hole
10 kills by hand grenade.

Hand grenades can be found, crafted, and purchased. A good way to earn this is to find an innocent animal, such as a Cavebird, Rat, Grotto Bird, or Isopod and save your game. Kill them with grenades and reload your save until you get 10 kills and pop the trophy.
