Test Drive
Win your first cup.

Cups are 4 races long, and to win you need to score the most points over the four races.

Top Performer
Complete 15 Magic Paths.

Magic Paths are unlocked by picking up a series of golden instruments. They act as shortcuts and should be taken at every possibility.

A Cat Always Lands on Their Feet
Perform 15 Sweet Jumps.

To perform a Sweet Jump, drive the kart over three of the bouncy purple pads in a row.

Add a Little Umph
Perform 10 Drift Trails in a cup.

Baby Corp Cup is a good cup to work on for this as it features a lot of easy drift trails. Complete ten in the four races to unlock.

Things Money Can Solve
Buy 5 different things in the shop.

To purchase items in the shop, the player must first complete challenges such as winning a cup with a character, or winning ten races. After unlocking 5 items, purchase them with the in-game currency.

Just Smile and Wave
Perform 30 Drifts.

To perform a drift, press L1 or L2 while going around a corner. Repeat 30 times to unlock the trophy.

[The Path to Success
Go through 50 boostpads.

Drive over 50 boostpads. This will unlock naturally.

The Rebel
Pick up an apple power-up and explode around others.

The apple power-up eventually self-destructs. When it does be in close proximity of a rival racer and explode it on them.

PRESENTATION!
Perform 75 Jump tricks.

While going over a jump, press L2 to perform a trick. Repeat 75 times.

Trolls Glitter Party
Use Troll Surprise 7 times in a cup.

To gain a Troll Surprise, first pick up musical notes. When you have enough you will get one. Press Triangle to use it. Use 7 in the four races to unlock.

One of a Kind
Complete a race without getting hit once.

Play on Relaxed difficulty, and at the race, make sure to time the boost at the start of the race. You should be far away enough from the other racers to not have to worry about them. Make your way to the end of the level to unlock.

Not Settled Over a Pint
Hit 33 players with a Lucky Token.

Lucky Tokens are gold pickups. You will find one in a level normally on the secret path or the magical path. Will likely come naturally as you play the game. If not, replay challenge Foreign Objects under Tier 5. As the only weapon is the Lucky Token.

Kowalski’s Plan of Attack
Enter 5 different shortcuts.

As with any racing game you should be making use of the shortcuts, they are pretty easy to spot and you will naturally unlock this as you play.

In Harmony
Play the same cup with 6 different hosts.

Play any cup 6 times with each of the different hosts. Needs to be done on the same difficulty. You can change host by paying some musical notes to change but unfortunately it is random which host you get. As you need to complete a cup on lightning difficulty with all of the twenty characters to unlock some of their items, it is likely you will unlock this without trying if you continue to play the same cup over and over.

The Bad Guys
Steal the Golden Dolphin in Museum of Fine Arts in under 40 seconds.

Best done on Challenge Tier 3 Level 2 as this requires you to pick up the Golden Dolphin and win, but it also shortens the level to reach the Dolphin.

The Night Fury Way
Win Viking Cup in Lightning Speed.

Lightning Speed is the game’s toughest difficulty and it is therefore recommended to unlock some new items in the shop first to power up your Kart.

A Hideous Zippleback Shot
Hit 2 players at the same time with a bomb power-up.

When picking up the bomb power-up make sure two enemies are close together before throwing.

The Best Defense
Hit 20 enemies with the shield

The shield is one the game’s power-ups. Make sure when you activate it another player is close-by and crash into them.

Skadooshing
Beat 10 ghosts in time trials.

There are 20 time trials in total. Beat the ghost on ten of them to unlock. These are quite hard and require you to unlock better karts and equipment.

Master of All Villainy
Hit 3 players by throwing drop items forward.

To throw a drop item forward press up while pressing X. Hit 3 enemies this way to unlock.

Rage of the Gumdrop Buttons
Hit 200 opponents with power-ups.

Pick up power-ups and hit opponents 200 times. To farm this, replay any of the challenges that require you to hit opponents X amount of times.

Team “Friendship”
Unlock all characters.

There are 20 characters in the base game. In order to unlock them you need to win all of the cups in single player and complete all of the challenges.

Knack For Mayhem
Beat all Lightning difficulty Cups.

Lightning difficulty is the hardest difficulty. You will need to win all 6 Cups which each have 4 races.

Horner’s Hoard
Get 20 collectible Lucky Tokens

Lucky Tokens are the games’ collectibles, they are found on jumps and on the Magic Paths. Unfortunately, the other players can also pick them up, so if you miss them on the first lap they likely will not be there on the second lap.

Hero’s Chi
Beat all ghosts in time trials.

There are 5 cups each with 4 races, you will therefore need to win a total of 20 time trials to unlock.

The Crimson Paw
Complete all challenges.

There are 6 tiers of challenges, each with 6 challenges, the final challenge is always a boss battle which will unlock a new character.

King Julien’s Inner Circle
Unlock the whole shop!

The grindy one. To unlock all the items, you will need to perform tasks with each racer, such as win a cup, win a cup on Lightning difficulty, win ten races, collect a certain collectible. In the shop you can see which items you require and what task you need to unlock them.
