Welcome to the trophy guide for Rugby 20. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.
Follow us on twitter for the latest news and giveaways.
Stage 1 – Learn the Controls by playing Matches and Create a Solo Mode Team.
All trophies can be earned on Amateur Difficulty. Learn the controls of the game by playing matches and doing drills. In the process you will earn Rewards of XP (level up) and SP (money). You will also earn Cards that you will be able to open and see what you have won. You could win Challenge, Bonus, Booster Packs, and/or Player Cards. You can select Challenge or Bonus Cards (up to 3) before any Match to earn even more XP, SP, or give you an advantage in that Match. After earning SP, you can then spend it on buying more in game Cards under the Main Menu: My Collection, Card Management. If you are knowledgeable about the real world of Rugby, then spend on whatever you like from Challenges, Bonuses, Players, and even certain Teams’ Players Cards. Always choose Epic Players to get the best players for Solo Mode Team. (The game allows you to have and field duplicate players during a Match.)
Create a Solo Mode Team and add/remove players as you earn new players from winning or buying Cards with SP. In Solo Mode, play through one of the two League Divisions from the lowest all the way to Elite League Division. There are no trophies that involve you to join or not complete any of the Optional Tournaments (European Masters Tournament or World Championship Tournament).
Tips:
– Use either Cloud or USB saves when playing through the tiered League Divisions in Solo Mode and/or during the longer Tournaments.
– From the Main Menu Options, set the time of all the games to be 5 minutes (only two trophies need to be set differently noted below in their trophy descriptions).
– All games can be simulated, however this is not recommended for your Solo Mode Team during the tiered Tournament Division.
– To earn money for upgrading your Staff, play in the Friendly games (do not simulate them). You will earn the exact same amount of money for a win, loss, or tie. You will also earn money at different points in the Season, however it will take longer to earn the amount of money needed to upgrade your Staff fully. When Upgrades to your Staff are available, make sure to buy them. Do not buy players, Skill Improvement, Healing, or Stamina Recovery.
– After completing Training and you feel comfortable playing the game, play your Solo Mode Team tiered Tournaments. In the Season schedule you can skip Training offers. The only benefits from doing Training Offers are they may increase some of your players’ stats for the next game, however they can also have a negative impact on your teams’ performance.

Stage 2 – Complete the Title Divisions.
In Tournament Mode, choose the Tournament that you need to earn the associated trophy from. Pick a high ranking team as your team. Then either play and/or Simulate the Matches. If your team wins it all then you will earn the title division trophy. Some of these involve more games than others so you may choose to make Cloud or USB saves just in case.

Congratulations on your new platinum trophy! You collected all other trophies.

Best of the best
Win the Top 14.
In Tournament Mode, select Top 14, and choose the highest ranked team or one that you like. You can choose to play all the games, some of the games, or simulate some to all of the games. If you are playing the games, it is recommended to Cloud or USB save after winning Matches.

Fighting spirit
Win the Pro 14.
In Tournament Mode, select Pro 14, and choose the highest ranked team or one that you like. You can choose to play all the games, some of the games, or simulate some to all of the games. If you are playing the games, it is recommended to Cloud or USB save after winning Matches.

Your cup runneth over
Win the Premiership.
In Tournament Mode, select Gallagher Premiership Rugby, and choose the highest ranked team or one that you like. You can choose to play all the games, some of the games, or simulate some to all of the games. If you are playing the games, it is recommended to Cloud or USB save after winning Matches.

Promotion
Win the Pro D2.
In Tournament Mode, select Pro D2, and choose the highest ranked team or one that you like. You can choose to play all the games, some of the games, or simulate some to all of the games. If you are playing the games it is recommended to Cloud or USB save after winning Matches.

Comeback kid
Win a match after trailing by 20 points.
For this trophy set the match time to 15, 40, or even 80 minutes in the Main Menu Options. Play a Quick Game, choose a higher ranked team for your team and a lower ranked team as your opponent. Let the other team score at least 20 points on you by not winning any line-out throws, rucks, or completing any plays/passes. After your opponent is winning by at least 20, focus on scoring as many points as possible while preventing them from scoring so that you can take the lead and win the game.

On top of the word!
Win the Nations’ Trophy.
In Tournament Mode, select Nations’ Trophy, and choose the highest ranked team or one that you like. You can choose to play all the games, some of the games, or simulate some to all of the games. If you are playing the games it is recommended to Cloud or USB save after winning Matches.

A safe pair of hands
Catch all line-out throws during a match.
During one match, catch all of the line-out throws. If your team did not cause the line-out to happen, then you get to choose either a 3, 5, or 7 man setup for the line-out throws. Choosing a 3 man setup is the easiest to get the pass to the right man. Pass in the ball by pressing X and then quickly hit the buttons shown on screen to catch the ball.

Now the real work begins
Reach an elite division in solo mode.
Play through the Seasons in Solo Mode and eventually you will win the previous Division to the Elite Division. Shown in the picture below is: the D1 Gaul Championship League route (left side of Two Leagues Setup picture).

Well-heeled
Hook the ball back after an opponent feeds it in.
During a scrummage there are sequences of timed buttons that need to be done when indicated, every time.
Order:
– Down on both Left and Right Stick.
– Pull both Left and Right Triggers.
– Push forward on both Left and Right Stick,
however, even if you do not do these correctly, you can still get possession in the next step.
– Use the Left Stick to keep your “L” inside the randomly moving circle on top of the arch shown in the picture below. Repeat this as shown to gain possession of the ball.
– Now press back on the Right Stick to hook the ball back and then Left Stick to extract the ball from the ruck.

Ruck’n roll!
Perform a turnover in a ruck.
Rucks happen lots of times in every game. Have the opposing team with the possession at the start of a ruck and then gain possession of the ball. It’s recommended to do the Ruck Training to learn how to win a ruck under the Training Option in the Main Menu.

Not in my back yard!
Kick the ball outside the 22-metre line from the in-goal area.
From anywhere inside the in-goal area, you will need to kick the ball outside the 22-metre line. See the picture below.

Best-laid plans
Pull off 5 set plays during a match.
During any Match, while in a ruck, you can call a Set Play and the lines/buttons to press will appear on the field. You will know if you successfully completed a Set Play if the lines change from light to darker green. You do not have to score on the Set Play for it to count towards this trophy. Do any 5 set plays you like. In the Main Menu under My Squad, Team Management, Set Plays, you can change any of your offense/defense Set Plays to make them to your liking.

Had the final word
Score a try after the siren sounds.
At the 80 minute mark, a siren will be sounded. The game will be over if the ball goes out of bounds. However, you can continue to play the game and score a try during this time. The game will be over if you are not successful.

Worth a punt
Score a try after a grubber kick.
Make a grubber kick by pressing Circle and then run towards the ball (your player will pick it up automatically) and go into the goal area to score a try. See pictures below.

Off to a flying start
Score a try in the first 5 minutes of the match.
In the first 5 minutes of the Match score a try. If you need to change the length of the Match before playing it, under the Main Menu Options you can change it to 8, 15, or 40 minutes. Once you score a try in the first 5 minutes, you can choose to play the entire Match or quit if it was a Quick Match.

According to plan
Score a try with a set play.
To score a try with a set play, you want to be close to the opposing teams’ goal area. In the ruck, choose your Set Play to Perform, run it, and score a try to earn this trophy. See picture below.

Without even trying
Win a match without scoring a try.
Play a Match without scoring a try. To do this you can score from a Penalty Goal (kick the ball through uprights), and/or by kicking the ball through the uprights during regular Match play.

No harm, no foul
Finish a match without committing a foul.
Play a Match without ever committing a foul. A foul can be an offside, dangerous play, forward pass, and/or any action that causes your team to be penalized. To be safe, play a Match where you are not very aggressive in trying to win possession of the ball during rucks or line-out throws. At the end of the Match you will earn this trophy.

Alive and kicking
Win a match by taking the lead with a drop kick in the last 10 min.
During any Match, take the lead to win the game in the last 10 minutes (even past 80 minute siren sounded) by successfully kicking a drop kick through the uprights.

One small step for a man
Move up a division in solo mode.
In Solo Mode, after playing and winning the Division, you will move up to the next Division above it. In the picture below the D3 Gaul Championship League route was chosen to be played and winning it promoted the team to D2 Gaul Championship.

Practice makes perfect
Fully upgrade staff in solo mode.
In Solo Mode, as you play through the Seasons, there will be set times when you will be offered Staff Upgrades. Make sure to buy all of these as they occur. To buy them you need to have money available, so it is important to play (win, lose, or tie) the Friendly Matches. If you Simulate them you will not earn any money from them. You will also earn money at various intervals as noted in the Season Schedule, which you can examine at any point before a Match occurs. To earn this trophy as quickly as possible, it is recommended to not accept player offers or do any Player conditioning (other than the two trophy related ones), as these will decrease your banked money. There are 15 total Staff Upgrades that you need to buy (5 per Category: Physiotherapists, Coaches, and Doctors). The cost is $18,612 for all 5 of the Staff Upgrades for one Category. Therefore it is $18,612 x 3 = $55,836 to buy all 15 total Staff Upgrades for the Physiotherapists, Coaches, and Doctors.
It will take you a number of Seasons to earn this trophy, as there are only a few Staff Upgrades offered per season. If you do not have enough money to buy the Staff Upgrade, you have to refuse it. This will increase the amount of time needed to earn this trophy.

Investing in the future
Buy a player.
In Solo Mode, during any Season (players are the cheapest in the first few seasons), when offered to buy a Player, accept the offer.

Drill instructor
Train a player in solo mode.
In Solo Mode, under Players, choose any player that you would like to upgrade their skills. As shown in the picture below: Skill Improvement – Sprinting and Intense (cost $1000).
