Welcome to the trophy guide for Kotodama. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Obtain all the endings, words, and tips.


Welcome to the Kotodama Trophy Guide! Pqubes very first developed game! A game with quite a few tricky words to obtain and endings to get but nothing to worry over as long as you follow below!

Note: Kotodama has a lot of crashing at choices if loading a save at a choice. Highly recommended to make manual saves at regular intervals and quick saves as soon as you enter new locations.

The most important factor you NEED(!!!) to do is make sure to read all the quackers as SOON as the appear as they will unlock oppurtunities to earn the collectibles. If you missed a word or tip during following below, it’s because you did not view a quacker!

Stage 2 – Misc Trophies


At this point you should have 3 remaining trophies, 4 if you haven’t failed a Kotodama. If so, load up one of your save files and purposely fail the next Kotodama for Game Over. The remaining 3 trophies are luckily all tied together! At the title screen you’ll want to press Options to get to the Puzzle. From here there are 6 characters to “Fantasize Mode” with. You’ll need to complete a Hard difficulty Kotodama with all 6 different characters to obtain the remaining trophies and your platinum!

Tips in Kotodama is just an encyclopedia of the games contents i.e. Characters, Mysteries, Events, etc. The 53 tips are as listed below in the chapter they appear (For locations refer to the Stage above:

  Good Ending
See the Good Ending

The Good Ending is a slight variation to the true ending, you’ll just have had to choose the wrong person at the end. To obtain the Good Ending you must choose ALL Red choices (Correct choices) UNTIL the Final red choice “Look at Nanami” DON’T choose that option. To get the Good Ending you will want to choose “Look at Wakaba.”, The principal works too. Follow through with the Teachers battle and Nanami’s battle and you will earn this. You’ll get this by following the routes in the stage above.


  Bad Ending
See the Bad Ending

This is by using choices with information you shouldn’t have, most of the blue choices lead down this path. You’ll get this by following the routes in the stage above.


  True Ending
See the True Ending



The true end is by choosing all the correct choices in the game, which happen to be highlighted with Red Text, though they’re only red if you’ve previously made that choice. You’ll then have to pick the correct person to look at during the Chapter 7, which happens to be Nanami. You’ll get this by following the routes in the stage above.

Kotodama has a simple CG list in terms of a VN. All of the CG’s except the special CG’s are revealed through the 3 endings, there aren’t any ‘side’ CG’s or missable CG’s if you’re following the paths.

The Special CG’s are unlocked by beating each character’s hard Kotodama in Fantasize Mode.

The Curse of Mikoto
Cleared Chapter 5 

This trophy unlocks as part of story progression. The end of chapter 5 is after everyone gathers on the roof.

Mystery of the Future-Reflecting Mirror

This trophy unlocks as part of story progression. The end of chapter 7 is after the incident in the forest if following my route.


 KOTODAMA Expert
Completed a puzzle in hard mode 

Kotodama’s hard mode unlocks late in story progression after each character’s 2nd+ Kotodama. First availability is Honoka’s 2nd Kotodama in Chapter 1 after the time leap. You’ll meet a screen saying “Honoka’s underwear unlocked in Fantasize Mode” after the 2nd Kotodama. You can now go play hard mode with Honoka.


KOTODAMA Activated
Completed a puzzle 

A “puzzle” refers to the mini-game ‘Kotodama’. You’ll earn this through story progression after the tutorial against Nanami Kagura.

Fantasize Mode
Played Fantasize Mode 

Fantasize Mode is an unlockable feature after completing the first ‘Kotodama’ mini-game. It is essentially a “Free Play” accessible from the main menu or your dormitory. You’ll unlock more characters the more story you play. 

You’ll earn this naturally as the Special CG’s are locked behind this mode.


Game Over
Experienced a Game Over 

This trophy is simple, experience a Game Over. In Kotodama’s mini-game “Kotodama” you start with 20 moves. Move your cursor to the top row swapping out tiles repeatedly until you run out of turns if you don’t earn this naturally.
