Welcome to the trophy guide for Granblue Fantasy: Versus. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.
Follow us on twitter for the latest news and giveaways.
Stage 1 – Obtain the Mission Training trophies
Mission Training trophies will teach the basics of fighting and give you and understanding of how to play. You won’t need to do 100% of the missions either, it’s quite forgiving. You will need to complete all the basic missions but only touch base on the others. After completing this stage you’ll have obtained:
Ready to Rumble!
There’s More than One Way to Win
See? I Kept Up Just Fine!
Dragon Knight’s Might!
Stage 2 – Arcade Mode
This will be your standard arcade battler mode. In terms of length it’s relatively short. You can change the Battle Settings to make it even quicker without voiding the trophy. There are only 7 rounds to the arcade mode and upon completing it you will earn:
Congratulations!
Stage 3 – RPG Mode
This is the meat of the game, where you’ll spend almost the entirety of gameplay! Not only will you have to play through it once, unless you’re lucky with draws, you’ll have to replay it all again in hard mode (Minus the final boss). There isn’t much to say about this as almost the entirety of the RPG Mode trophies are story related. A few things to remember would be:
- Try to keep all your weapons to 1 element, multi-element weapons can’t use the full strength.
- Opponents SBA/SSBA’s have an animation, hold R2 and block it.
- Always use the element the quest recommends you to.
- You don’t need to do optional quests (The green ones) but if you do for your main char, it’ll unlock their highest level cap.
- Every CPU partner comes with a pre-set skill set, find one that suits your playstyle.
There are a few trophies that are misc. during RPG Mode though. Make sure to always turn in missions, check out the Tower of Babyl, use local-coop, and use the draw feature. Upon completion of all the above you’ll earn:
A New Journey Begins
Unfamiliar Skies
Skybound Protector
Veiled Heavens
Casuality Unhinged
When the Dragon’s Voice Resounds
Event Horizon
Hard Mode
A Friend in Arms!
That’s Thirty
What Am I?
Skyfarer’s Challenge
Slime Vanquisher
Veteran of the Marketplace
Luminiera’s Blade
Note: You could farm and over power your weapons and characters and set the quests to play with both characters as A.I so you can complete quests while away from the game. Be careful though as the A.I in this game are AWFUL and will walk right into boss traps, attacks, won’t revive, and stand around very often. So don’t overly rely on this method
Stage 4 – Online Mode
There are only 2 online sections to Gran Blue; RPG Mode and Online. RPG has 2 trophies for completing an online quest. The rest are for doing things online against another player, like that of a standard arcade fighter. You’ll have to finish some Initial Ranking Matches before being granted access to online mode. Luckily GranBlue is much more forgiving than other arcade battlers as you’ll only have to win 1 online match, don’t forget to save the recording! The rest are using online features. After this step you’ll have earned:
Backup Please!
Reporting In!
Now the Real Fight Begins!
Hot Enough for You?
Always Strive for Perfection
Communication Skills at Full Power
Thanks for Looking!
Stage 5 – Clean Up!
All that’s left is just is misc trophies through viewing things and cumulative trophies, namely using techniques, finishers, and winning matches. For the most part you’ll be using character’s SSBA’s or SBA’s, and the occasional technique aside from those. These can all be done in multiplayer against a 2nd controller making this much easier. Upon finishing all the character related trophies the plat should be yours. You’ll earn the following for this step:

Platinum Sky

This Is the Result of My Training!
Activate skills 100 times using technical commands
There are two ways of activating skills in Granblue, Simple or Technical. Simple are skill activation’s with a shortcut, you can tell these by use of the R1 button. What you want for technical commands are the alternative execution without the R1. Look through your Command List to get a listing of all your commands.

Now the Real Fight Begins!
Complete the tutorial matches

The tutorial matches this trophy refers to is the online mode. Before entering online matches you must select “Initial Ranking Matches” which’ll put you through a series of 7 matches; 5 against A.I and 2 against online opponents. Winning or losing is not important, this is just to give you an initial online ranking. The real problem here that persists is the online portion, it takes a while to find someone to battle and when you do they’re very likely to not respond or just outright cancel the match. So have patience when trying to get through this.

Event Horizon
Clear the final chapter of the main quest
You will be awarded this for competing Final Chapter: Event Horizon. The location of this chapter is the Pandemonium where you will undergo the following quests:
Brown are story, Red are boss or raid, and green are optional.
- Episode 39: Into Pandemonium
- Episode 40: The Absolute
- Regret and Resolve
- Where Trust Lives
- Sky Realm Adventurer
- Dark Designs
Green quests are not needed for main quest completions.

Reporting In!
Use search filters in RPG mode to join a co-op quest and clear it
Co-op in RPG mode is not initially available until you clear Episode 8: Undesired Duel. Once you clear that mission you’ll unlock Katalina, then the rest of the roster as the game progresses. You can access online in RPG Mode through a few various ways; hitting square at the quest prep, islands, or even from the RPG Mode menu. It is recommended that one of two things happen for this though: Complete the game first, allowing you to have access to all the quests and hard mode broadening the chances of finding a partner or Boost it with a password protected room as the online is pretty dead.

It`s Looove!
Finish off an opponent with a 3-count pinfall 10 times in a match

A 3-count pinfall is a result of Ladiva’s SSBA. Her SBA will not work as it doesn’t take place in a ring. A few things to note that differ’s between Ladiva’s SSBA and other character’s are:
- Ladiva’s SSBA start-up does not damage the opponent.
- If the opponents HP was too high, her SSBA will fail at 2.97s count.
Though the description mentions ‘in a match’ it’s very finnicky and you could do many more than 10. What seems to be more concrete is winning 10 matches, not the rounds. So you could easily set the matches to 1 round bouts and do it that way. SSBA’s finishers always have a different winning screen, above is a picture of Ladiva’s SSBA win screen, so if you see this you know you’re doing it right!
Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!

Congratulations!
Clear Arcade mode
Arcade Mode is the typical mode for arcade fighters like GranBlue. Clearing Arcade mode isn’t too long nor difficult. You’ll initally choose your character and then the first CPU and their difficulty. Every fight after that you’ll get to choose your opponent and their pre-set difficulty from a small selection presented to you post-battle. Upon completing your 7th win, you’ll have succeeded in clearing arcade mode!
Note: Customizing Battle Settings does not negate this trophy.

That’s Thirty
Perform 30 draws
Perfoming draws is a feature in RPG Mode. To unlock this feature you’ll first need to earn Skybound Protector (Complete Chapter 2) trophy. Back at the RPG Mode’s menu, Draw will be the 4th option. You’ll have the choice between Single Draw’s or 10-Part Draw’s. You’ll earn hundreds of tickets naturally through quests and bonus missions making this trophy a natural occurrence.

Veteran of the Marketplace
Spend a total of 100,000 rupies
The rupies spent for this must be done in RPG Mode. You’ll earn rupies through questing and well over 700k-800k rupies by end-game. Everything that consumes rupies will count towards this; buying, selling, or upgrading.

What Am I?
Get a Vyrn weapon in RPG mode

Vyrn is the ‘dragon’ that grew up with Gran and is always with him, the companion and mascot of Granblue. Vyrn weapons are found in RPG Mode and are weapons based off of him. Every character has a Vyrn weapon they can unlock through Bonus Missions. Look under the Standard Missions not Online Missions to find the Vyrn Reward Missions. You’ll notice them by his avatar (Look in the picture above for an example). Complete the mission to get this trophy, the missions are all relatively easy and will likely come without trying.

Strength Comes from Our Bonds!
Summon Ares 10 times in a match.

Ares is a summon of Katalina’s. You’ll need to summon Ares through use of Katalina’s SSBA. Her SBA will not work as it’s a summoning of multiple sword’s that’ll impale your opponent. Above is a picture of Ares, so if you see Ares you know you’re doing it right!
Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!

What a Blast!
Activate skybound art 100 times
Skybound Arts or SBA’s are one of two ultimate skills of a character. It’s the weaker counter-part to SSBA’s that require the use of a 100% full SBA Gauge as well. Both the full yellow or full blue can be used to activate SBA’s as long as you enter the input. Open the 100th execution this will unlock.
Note: SBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1.

Who’s Ready for a Show?
Activate super skybound art 50 times
Super Skybound Arts or SSBA’s are one of two ultimate skills of a character. It’s the stronger counter-part to SBA’s that require the use of a 100% full SBA Gauge as well. The exception is that only full blue (Health lower than 30%) can be used to activate SSBA’s as long as you enter the input. Open the 50th execution this will unlock.
Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X.

All Together Now!
Finish off an opponent with a super skybound art 10 times in a match
To further clarify: Finishing off an opponent means to win the match and not just the round. Be careful though because SSBA’s have a set-up attack then a follow through execution. If the initial set-up for a character is what kills them and not the execution of the SSBA, it will not count as finishing them off with an SSBA. If you’re still unsure of this, every character has a unique winning screen when winning through SSBA so keep an eye out for those. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!
Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X.

Too Easy!
Dodge attacks or cross over an opponent 100 times
This should come naturally as you’ll be playing a lot of matches. This trophy asks you to do 2 things: dodges or cross overs.
Dodging: Press R2 and direction away from your opponent. What this will do is have your person stay in their spot but do a twist of sorts to, well, dodge an attack.
Cross over: Press R2 and direction towards your opponent. What this will do is have your person not only avoid an attack but slip past the person as well. You’ll know if it was a cross over if you weren’t hit and you’re on the opponents other side now.

You’re Wide Open
Hit an opponent with overhead attacks 100 times
Overhead attacks are your typical arcade battler technique. In Granblue’s case you’ll get close to an opponent and press L2 to overhead attack them.

No Running Now, Sweety!
Throw an opponent 100 times
Throwing opponents is your typical arcade battler technique. In Granblue’s case you’ll get close to an opponent and press L1 to throw them. Only successfully performed throws will count for this.

Thy Name Is Bahamut!
Summon Proto Bahamut 10 times in a match.

Proto Bahamut is a summon of Gran’s. You’ll need to summon Proto Bahamut through use of Gran’s SSBA. His SBA will not work as it’s just a dash with an empowered sword. Above is a picture of Proto Bahamut, so if you see the Bahamut you know you’re doing it right!
Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!

That Settles That!
Use the skill With Sweetest Skills! on an opponent 10 times in a match

With Sweetest Skills! is a combo of Charlotte’s which is not an SBA/SSBA like most other characters. With Sweetest Skills! is a follow-up combo to Noble Strategy meaning you’ll have to chain them together. Noble Strategy will make Charlotte go airborne then you’ll need to follow through with With Sweetest Skills! and make sure it hits for it to count. Below is an execution of the skill:

Thanks for Looking!
Edit and save your profile or avatar
You’ll obtain this trophy for editing either your Profile or avatar. These are two separate features that represent different aspects. Though you’ll earn this naturally as you tackle the trophies because upon your first entry into an online lobby, you’ll need to create an avatar to access the lobbies.
Profile: From the main menu head into Customize > Profile. While into the profile menu, under the Player Profile section press Triangle to edit this.
Avatar: This’ll happen the first time you engage in online battles but it is possible to do so outside of that. From the main menu head into Customize > Profile and into the Avatar section which’ll change your online avatar.

Feel the Wrath of My Twin Blades!
Freeze an opponent in ice 10 times in a match

Freezing an opponent is the result of Lancelot’s SSBA. His SBA will not work as he’ll barrage you with a ground combo turning it into an air combo. You’ll know you’ve frozen an opponent succesfully if you see them encased in ice like in the picture above. Upon his 10th freeze this trophy will be yours.
Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!

Petrified by Fear
Petrify an opponent 10 times in a match

Every character in Granblue has a unique skill that only they can use. Percival’s is a black ball that’ll cause opponents to fall to the ground. Just How You Like It, Right?
Step on an opponent 10 times in a match

Stepping on an opponent is a technique of Metera’s. Stepping on an opponent requires you to use Metera’s SSBA. Her SBA will not work as she’ll launch a flaming arrow into the opponent. You’ll know you’ve successfully stepped on an opponent if you see her like in the picture above. Upon her 10th step this trophy will be yours.
Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!

Yggy, Yggy
Summon Yggdrasil 10 times in a match

Yggdrasil in Granblue Fantasy is one of the Primal Beasts. To summon her though you’ll need to use Lowain’s SSBA. His SBA will not work as it’ll summon Elsam and Tomoi to form an offensive pyramid instead. You’ll know you’ve summoned her successfully if you see Yggdrasil like in the picture above. Upon her 10th summon this trophy will be yours.
Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!

Sic ‘Em, Momo!
Attack with Momo 10 times in a match

Momo is a familiar of Ferry. You’ll need to summon Momo through use of Ferry’s SBA or SSBA. Ferry’s SBA summons Momo alone, while her SSBA calls upon all her familiars. Upon the 10th execution of either SBA/SSBA this trophy will pop. Above is a picture of Momo, so if you see Momo you know you’re doing it right!
Note: SBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) + R1 / SSBA is the same but with R1+X. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!

Show Me Your Strength!
Unleash the Spear of Arvess 10 times in a match

The Spear of Arvess a weapon of Zeta’s. Unleashing the spear requires you to use Zeta’s SSBA. Her SBA will not work as she’ll charge attack with her spear not unleashing it. Note: SSBA is used with a quarter rotation towards your opponent (Down then to right or left, dependent on enemy location) and R1+X. Remember this can’t be earned in RPG Mode!

The Required Mission The Weapon in the Store.
Luminiera Blade Omega is a SSR light elemental weapon you will need to Forge in Siero’s Shop. Forging the blade will cost 5 Gran Medal’s and 10 Champion’s Merits. Both of these require the use of playing on Hard Mode. Champion’s Merits are random drops you can obtain anywhere on Hard Mode, it’s Gran Medal’s that’ll wear you out. Gran Medal’s require to beat ALL the chapters on Hard Mode allowing Pandemonium missions to be played on hard as well, fortunately you won’t need to fight the final boss on hard mode! You can go straight to the optional quest. The you’ll need to farm the optional boss battle Sky Realm Adventurer (Found on Pandemonium) on hard, hoping Gran will drop them. If you’re lucky to S Rank this battle, which is difficult, you’ll be granted enough Gran Medal’s to Forge the blade.
Note: You COULD draw the blade from the Weapon Draw’s, but it is a remarkably low chance to do so.

Backup Please!
Use Request Backup (Online) in RPG mode to join a co-op quest and clear it
Request Backup is a feature in RPG that allows other players to aide you in a quest. You will need to complete Episode 7: Cruel Encounter before you receive a “Online co-op is now available.” message. When you do have the ability, all that’s left is to press Triangle or Request Backup during quest preparation to create a room. Be wary though as the online is quite dead, you’ll likely need a boosting partner.

Hard Mode
Unlock main quest chapter ∅ of RPG mode
Chapter ∅ (Boundless Skies, Limitless Possibilites) is essentially just the hard mode difficulty allowing you to replay all the quests on hard mode. This will unlock after you return to the world map once you beat the game, refer to Event Horizon for more details.

A Friend in Arms!
Clear an RPG mode quest with a player 2-controlled partner

Co-op in RPG mode is not initially available until you clear Episode 8: Undesired Duel. Once you clear that mission you’ll unlock Katalina, then the rest of the roster as the game progresses. Beat the CPU on Normal or higher difficulty in Versus mode
Do as the description says, you’ll have to win a bout against a CPU on normal difficulty or higher. Even if you’re a complete novice this is remarkably easy as the trophy is still obtainable through use of handicap. Once you select your character put your handicap at 5 stars and when you choose the opponent put them at 1 star. This’ll give you a huge advantage and you should easily obtain this in the first match. If you still have difficulty choose someone with distance attacks like Ferry and the opponent has one that relies on close range like Ladiva.

Memories Are Beautiful
Use the key record feature in Free Training mode
The key record feature in GranBlue is a way of having an opponent use any combo you’ve inputted against your own character. This is useful when you’re practicing to overcome tougher combo’s or certain move sets you find hard to defend against. Once in Free Training mode, and you’re all set-up, you’ll have to access the key record feature. You’ll press L3 to switch to the computer opponent, press L3 again to start recording, do a small combo, press L3 to end the recording and return to your character, then finally press R3 to play the combo you recorded for this trophy.

Hot Enough for You?
Win an online match
The description says it all, win an online match. What this entails though is a win done through Lobby, Ranked, or Room. Granted, you could win a match during the Initial Rankings and it’ll count too. It is recommended to boost this though, so hopefully you’ll have a partner. The reason being is that online matches are done through random match-ups like other arcade fighters or you’ll head into a virtual lobby with a plethora of arcade machines, each with 2 seats, sit at one and fight the person who sits at the other seat or vice versa. The problem with this is you can fight someone outside of your skill level, the game does visually mark those within your skill range through marking an online name with a star. The fault here though is the gap of that representation, that star you can see could be opponents who’ve had 40-70+ wins, considerably outside of your skill level. So unless you’re lucky, adept at fighting, or luckily get someone who will swap wins in the lobby it is recommended to boost this.

Always Strive for Perfection
Save a replay of your match
After you complete an online match, before you agree to replay or leave to the lobby, you can press Square to save a replay. There isn’t a save screen or anything, hit square and this trophy is as good as yours.

Communication Skills at Full Power
Use a sticker, emote, or phrase online

Stickers, emotes, and phrases all are quick ways of communicating online. While you’re gallivanting through the lobbies you’ll be able to pull up the Chat Menu by pressing Triangle. The Chat Menu contains: Favorites, Stickers, Emotes, Phrases, and Free Chat. Any of those middle 3 options will earn you this trophy when used.

Ready to Rumble!
Clear all basic missions in Mission Training mode

You can access Mission Training through the main menu. This menu has a considerable amount of different missions throughout different categories. For this trophy you will need to use the 1st Category Basic Mission.
There is no need to fret even though you’ll be practicing a little bit of everything, you are not required to master them all. There are a total of 25 missions to complete. The saving grace is that every mission has 5 attempts and you only need to succeed at 2 of those 5 each time. This is helpful as for some missions you may not be particularly skilled at. Upon returning to the Mission Training Mode this trophy will pop.

A New Journey Begins
Clear the RPG mode tutorial
Nothing too extravagant to mention here. RPG mode is a different game mode than the generic 1 vs 1 arcade battler, you’ll go through quests, bosses, raids, etc. The tutorial is a multi-part battle at the very beginning of the mode after selecting it.

Dragon Knight’s Might!
Clear 10 combo practices in Mission Training mode

You can access Mission Training through the main menu. This menu has a considerable amount of different missions throughout different categories. For this trophy you will need to use the 3rd Category Combo Practice.
There is no need to fret as yes these are combo’s, but you are not required to complete them all. There’s more than 60+ missions with the DLC and upcoming DLC, this trophy requires you to complete ANY 10 of those. So if you’re struggling, do the first mission for 10 different characters. Upon returning to the Mission Training Mode this trophy will pop.

See? I Kept Up Just Fine!
Clear a character’s countermeasures in Mission Training mode

You can access Mission Training through the main menu. This menu has a considerable amount of different missions throughout different categories. For this trophy you will need to use the 4th Category Match-Ups.
There is no need to fret as these are not match-ups for battles, countermeasures are basic countering techniques (interruptions, counters, blocking, etc) for each character. Choose a character you’re comfortable with and complete both of them (Lowain has 3). Different characters will utilize different mission types; punish, offense, defense, or maneuver. Regardless which you pick, you don’t need an abundant amount of skill level to complete these. To earn this trophy you’ll need a C ranking or higher (Complete 2/5 tries on each mission). Upon returning to the Mission Training Mode this trophy will pop.

There’s More than One Way to Win
Clear a character’s skill practices in Mission Training mode

You can access Mission Training through the main menu. This menu has a considerable amount of different missions throughout different categories. For this trophy you will need to use the 2nd Category Skill Practice.
There is no need to fret as these are not combo’s, Skill Practice is the basic move-sets for each character. Choose a character you’re comfortable with and complete all of them. Upon returning to the Mission Training Mode this trophy will pop.
