Welcome to the trophy guide for Buried Stars. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Stage 1 – Route A
During your first playthrough play as you see fit. The reason being is you’re locked into the “Normal Ending” on the first run, which unfortunately you’ll have to start from the beginning again and this is quite a lengthy VN to re-read. Anyhow, during that first initial run that you’re locked into you should earn: The Beginning Basics of Conversation Reaction Recap Check Watch Change Settings Listening to Recordings Positive Bot Setting Show Ended Note: some of these are miscellaneous, don’t fret if you didn’t earn them. they’re covered in the walkthrough.
A peculiar note about this game is, there is no pausing during the visual novel mode – pushing options will skip text. So unless you’re in an event, the only saves are Auto-Saves. For that convenience the guide is broken down by Auto-Save segments, detailing what, where, and when everything unlocks. Though be warned, the platinum does not require 100%, so if you’re using this guide to get a 100% compendium then I apologize. The first route done will be the A Route as it comes chronologically in the collections. There will be 3 stages to this walkthrough as well; Route A, Route B, and a Clean-up. A Clean-Up is needed as certain new options become available after seeing the true end, meaning you’ll need a 3rd playthrough or the conveniently placed saves found within the walkthrough below.

The first will be Juyoung. You could run another playthrough and fail to increase her rapport but it’ll take a long time. Manual Save 3 was conveniently placed at the final Recap, where you can abuse the rapport lowering. You’ll have to undo all of Juyoungs Rapports, which undoes Inhas and Gyu-hyuks too. You’ve already obtained Inha’s endings, so you’ll need to increase Gyu-hyuks rapport during the final communication. Follow the events below

Rapports is sort of like this games version of ‘affection’. Most Rapport Events happen at certain levels of ‘affection’ for a character, so it’s imperative that you get as much Rapport increases in every scenario and make correct decisions. Each character has a total of 5 rapport that you must achieve to obtain their respective trophy.
Seil differs from other contestants though, a few of his are tied to his ‘affection level’ but his are also locked behind making the correct choices in certain orders. Refer to Stage 1 & 2 above to achieve this.
Revenant Fell into eternal purgatory.
After obtaining the True End certain choices and things are added to subsequent playthroughs and loads. One of these are the word Laboratory during the 2nd chapter. Making use of that word on everyone, and following the trail of new stuff that’ll crop up you’ll lock yourself into the Abyss ending also known as the C Route. Refer to Stage 3 above to achieve this.

Do-yoon has a total of 5 full squares, meaning you’ll only need 2.5 squares to achieve this which is completely feasible as you’ll have multiple squares reaching the end of a route. Following the Stages above will net you this trophy no problem.

Hyesung’s difficulty lies in the fact that he has the least amount of game-time compared to other contestants for specific reasoning. He also has a rapport locked behind correct choices not just ‘affection’. Follow Stage 1 above to obtain this trophy.

This particular epilogue is rewarded for Seil’s ending. This Seil’s ending is an automatic ending if you’ve finished Route A.
Mental Breakdown You’ve gone crazy.
This trophy is for completing depleting Do-yoon Han’s mentality. This would be difficult to come by naturally but there are exploitable areas, namely recaps areas where you can’t progress unless you get the right answers. Abuse the failing system until you go crazy for this. This trophy is included in the Stages above, so follow it to not miss this.

Buried Stars is based on a show that utilizes the popularity of votes for their contestants, and this is done through a social media app called Phater – sort of like Facebook, or Twitter. Every contestant has a set bot to auto-write for them to interact with fans, what you need to do is change this.
The auto-writing has no effect on the gameplay, so do not worry about what you change it to, just acess your Watch Settings and change this to anything.

This ending is achieved for being rescued but unsuccessfully being able to conclude the truth. This is easiest when paired with any ‘unique endings’ that branch off far before the end of the game. Like Remaining Concealed trophy for example. Refer to Stage 1 above to achieve this.
Rash Verdict Rescued but gave up on truth.

This ending pertains to Do-yoon himself, but as you can’t increase your own rapport it’s for failing to discover the truth. There are multiple ways to go upon achieving this by failing to choose certain correct answers especially nearing end-game. Follow Stage 1 above to achieve this.
