Difficulty

Difficulty refers to the toughness of the ingame difficulty and the trophies. While trophies may be easy to obtain, it’s possible that the game itself can be pretty challenging. Think about games like Monster Hunter World and Dark Souls. It’s also possible that the ingame difficulty may be easy, but that the trophies may be challenging. Think about games like Wolfenstein

Trophy Difficulty 1/10

  1. No ingame difficulty related trophies
  2. No missable trophies (with use of savefile)
  3. Mainly story trophies
  4. No time/score related trophies
  5. No “No-die’ trophies
  6. Little gameplay (Choices only or just pressing X)
  7. No secret trophies requiring effort

Trophy Difficulty 2/10

  1. Introductory gameplay elements
  2. Maybe some platforming, enemies or just lighthearted difficulty
  3. Bare minimum controls
  4. Basic knowledge of the game

    B) Pity Pit

Trophy Difficulty 3/10

  1. Introduction to controller management
  2. Using shoulder buttons, combinations, shields, dodging
  3. Require reflexes and handling of different buttons simultaneously
  4. Collectibles and missables may be indicated on in-game maps
  5. Missable trophies require effort
  6. Multiple playthroughs may start showing up, requiring different requirements for endings

    Cat Quest

Trophy Difficulty 4/10

  1. Manage items, stock a supply, plan out a battle
  2. Handle trophies that span out an entire game
  3. Bosses may take up a couple of tries, strategies can be needed
  4. Collectibles require extensive searching, pre-requisites, or missions and quests.
  5. Missables that span the game, difficulty is a requisite, one time-visit areas
  6. Collectibles and missables show less frequent on the map, or not at all.

Trophy Difficulty 5/10

  1. Games that involve no-death, but allow saves or no-deaths aren’t too difficult
  2. Time-limits or easier speed-runs start to appear
  3. Difficult enemies
  4. Bosses with huge healthbars
  5. Rage or aggravating gameplay
  6. Grinding may be an elements

Trophy Difficulty 6/10

  1. No-deaths become more difficult
  2. Time-limits become strict
  3. Gameplay mechanics need studying
  4. Bosses have multiple patterns/phases/difficulties
  5. Playthroughs with specific runs: No items, no upgrades,
  6. Mechanics can induce more frustration as you’ll need multiple tries

    B) Kill La Kill IF

Trophy Difficulty 7/10

  1. No deaths with no-saves
  2. Mastering gameplay elements and practicing them a lot
  3. Very strict time-limits, hard missions, tights speed runs
  4. Specific playthroughs that are hard
  5. Constantly re-trying, reloading checkpoints

    A) Whipsey and the lost Atlas
    B) Ancestors Legacy

Trophy Difficulty 8/10

  1. No deaths with no saves
  2. Perma-death may start appearing
  3. Save file deletes upon death
  4. Time limits, speedruns by mere seconds
  5. Overly specific requirements; playthroughs, kill styles, defeat bosses in particular manners

Trophy Difficulty 9/10

  1. No room for errors
  2. Perfect runs, perfect speedruns, knowing the game inside out, dedicated practice
  3. High level of skill is needed
  4. Usually requires 50+ hours of practice

Trophy Difficulty 10/10

  • Perfection required
  • Only 1 in 10.000 will be able to achieve
  • Impossible requirements; walkthrough on hardest difficulty with permadeath, no saves possible

Time to Platinum

Time to Platinum¬†gives an indication how much time (hours) you will be spending to earn all the trophies. It’s possible that the Difficulty will influence the amount of Time to Platinum.

It’s not possible for the Time to Platinum to influence the Difficulty.

Multiple walkthroughs and RnG elements can influence Time to Platinum.

  2. 2-5 hours
  3. 5-10 hours
  4. 10 hours
  5. 11-15 hours
  6. 15-20 hours
  7. 20-30 hours
  8. 30-50 hours
  9. 50+ hours
  10. 100+ hours
