Welcome to the trophy guide for Fairy Tail. This can also be considered a walkthrough and may be used for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. Achievements for Steam and Xbox are in almost all cases the same as the PlayStation 4 Trophies. A roadmap is provided in the stages below.

Follow us on twitter for the latest news and giveaways.

Stage 1 – Complete the Main Story

Fairy Tail is a perfect entry level rpg, that’s due to it being unbelievably easy. The 3/10 rating above is due to a slight enemy spike at one point, and the last few S Rank Battles. Besides those, never expect to use the item shop, buffs, or anything. Nothing is missable and everything is marked for you on the mini-maps, this game holds your hand through it’s entirety and you shouldn’t struggle too much. With that being said there are a few things that you can do to make your journey easier.

~You can turn off battle animations greatly cutting down on playtime.
~If you jump then press X at scavenge spots, you’ll skip the picking up animations.
~Running is a 100% success, abuse it.
~Candies are the only collectible and besides the 2 cities, there’ll all on main paths or behind a blockade. Not hard to find at all.
~Link Hunt will substitute field enemies. So If you do a quick Link Hunt battle, you’ll barely run into any enemies after that making traversing a map a breeze.
~Never use a full x99 Link Hunt as it summons a heavily armored enemy that’s a nuisance.

Below isn’t a walkthrough, but more of a point form checklist if you care to follow it and remove the tedious nature of tracking everything for yourself. A few trophies won’t be listed as unlocking like the ‘Bonding Trophies’ and that’s because it depends on how often you change your party members around. If a Character Story doesn’t show up for you, though they should, it could be affection related. Nab it when it appears, as nothing is missable in this game.

Stage 2 – Post-Game Clean-up

Nothing really changes in clean-up besides the fact of no story line quests. This is all just clean-up of post-game grinds.

Trophies

 Fairy Tail
Acquired all trophies.

 Move Over, Old Man!
Cleared “Gildarts Throws Down the Gauntlet”.

At the end of the game you’ll attain the privilege of turning your Fairy Tail members into S-Rank Guild Members. Upon having everyone reach S Rank and possibly clearing all ‘A-Rank Guild Missions’ and their quests, Gildarts will be found beside the S-Rank Job Board. Complete his request for this trophy, it’s recommended to do this early as Gildarts is the most powerful character and will help whittle the S-Rank Grind of missions.

 Master of Requests
Completed all requests.

All requests is a very demanding thing as there are A LOT, far more than there should be. All requests entails a couple different categories:

The quests above also don’t factor in the 50 Regular Requests, the 8-part 10 year quest, or the 4-part 100 year quest either that you have to do.

 Best Guild in Fiore
Became number one in the guild ranking.

After obtaining A Guild Among Guilds, you’re new goal will be to carry that S Rank all the way to guild spot number 1! This will require you do to do a vast number of quests and shouldn’t be unlocked until somewhat into Post-Game grind. Though, there are many many many more quests to do after you become Guild Rank 1, so do not think you’re close to done once you achieve that rank!

 Candy Collector
Get all of the rewards from Nikora.

Nikora is the little white mascot that lives in Lucy’s room on her desk. He requires you to obtain all 50 points of Candies to obtain this trophy. There are only 2 types of Candy; 32 Delicious Candies and 6 Sparkling Candy. Delicious Candies are found in crates throughout the game while Sparkling are found by destroying ‘giant objects’. This trophy is not missable as all areas with candies are able to be returned too. If you’ve been following Stage 1 above you’ll know of all the candy locations, but if not just know that crates are either in plain sight on your path that you can’t miss or behind an Over-damage Barrier. The only ‘tricky’ candy is to find in cities, but I’ve included a map for both cities with their locations.

Amounts of Candies in each map:
Magnolia: 3
Boundary Forest: 1
Great Plains: 4
Akane Beach: 4
Capital Highway: 4
Crocus: 3
Tenrou Island: 3
Hakobe Mountain: 5
Mikage Forest: 3
Worth Woodsea: 4
Sacred Mountain of Zonia: 4

The 2 Cities Maps Candies are marked with a Red Dot):

Note: For exact locationing of these candies, open the chapters above in Stage 1 and CTRL + F or Search for ‘Cand’ <- omit the y incase of the duplicate ‘candies’ was used.

 ULTRA DAMAGE
Dealt 1,000,000 damage with Magic Chain.

1,000,000 damage sounds daunting, but by post-game standards it’s easily obtainable and doesn’t even require utilizing every facet to attain. Few things to make this happen generally on your first try:
~Have a full level 99 team with full 3 Rankings with everyone.
~Drink the +12% Attack Power Bar drink at the guild.
~Have everyone equip Level 5 + Attack Lacrima’s if they can, or Level 4 if not enough.
~Have Wendy in the party and have her use the attack up buff on the entire party.
~Being end-game you’ll be able to make your other 4 main characters all Rank 12, so they can enter their specialty modes by holding Up.
~Go to Great Plains or Boundary Forest as the enemies will be far below your level.
~Use a Fairy Gauge but don’t use Extreme Magic, run your Combo’s all the way to 20+ using level 3 combo’s if you can.

And voila.

 Demonic Destroyer
Destroyed all giant objects with Over Damage.

As you’ll have already learned about blockades by the time you come across ‘giant objects’ they’ll work in the same manner just with an increased damage requirement usually in the 120,000+ damage range. Again, come post-game 120,000+ damage is a laughably easy number to obtain so you needn’t worry for this.

All of these just like smaller blockades, will appear in your map in the form of enlarged blockade signs with a slightly more golden color. Every map except cities have one, so if you load up a map and not see one, then move onto the next.

All ‘giant objects’ also grant you candy upon their destruction as well, which is needed for Candy Collector.

 Luxury Facilities
Upgraded all facilities to maximum.

Facilities are upgradeable guild facilities that’ll bestow benefits upon your team. Forr this trophy you’ll need to have fully upgraded every facility. Unfortunately, upgrades are locked behind chapter progression so you shan’t be earning this before post-game.

The following facilities are required to be fully upgraded:
~Pool
~Laboratory
~Stage
~Kitchen
~Table Set
~Bar Counter
~Library Room
~Material Storeroom
~Item Shop
~Request Board

 A True Family
Raised Bond Level of Team 10 to 3.

Bonds are a characters affection with another teammate. Raising bonds is done through completing requests with party members. Depending on quest level, the bonding points you earn will differ. Through the mandatory stories, and side quests you do this one fairly early. This trophy requires 10 pairs of members to reach Rank 3.

This is a fair bit of a lengthy grind as the first 80% of the game gives minimal affection points. Forced parties and story events have you switching up members enough that this isn’t too much of a grind if you need to grind at all. So just play away and this should come far before you even reach S Rank.

 Feast of the Fairies
Participated in a Link Party with everyone.

Link Party is a feature of Fairy Tail’s mechanics. FOr this particular trophy they’ll want you to host a Link Party with all 16 Members that this game has to offer. Meaning you will need to complete every character’s requests to have them be recruited into your team.

The characters needed for this quest are as follows:
~Natsu
~Lucy
~Gray
~Laxus
~Juvia
~Erza
~Gajeel
~Wendy
~Mirajane
~Gildarts
~Jellal
~Sherria
~Ichiya
~Sting
~Rogue
~Kagura

 Just Call Me Genie
Responded to all community service requests.

Community Service Requests are one of the request types Fairy Tail has to offer. Every time the chapter progresses, there’ll be a new set of requests that pop up at varying locations. Like all other things in fairy tail, these will always be marked on your mini-map and you’ll needn’t worry about missing any. This is also not missable, so no it’s stress free. If you hunt these out as soon as they’re available, you’ll often not have the required items but make no attempt to hunt them down as this game gives you an abundance of every item with it’s ungodly amount of quests. You should always harvest points as you run past though.

The list of community service requests are as follows:

  • Plain Prune Delivery
  • Chrysanthus Delivery
  • Aqueous Rock Delivery
  • Water Delivery
  • Aqueous Rock Delivery… Again.

Note: All of these are marked in the checklist playthrough in Stage 1 but is unneeded as they’re marked on your map.

 Smooth Sailing
Completed 50 requests.

Requests are the bread and butter of Fairy Tail besides the storyline. For most of the game whether they’re Character Requests, Community Service Requests, or Job Board Requests they’re not mandatory. There will come points in the story you need to have certain guild strength, requiring you to do requests to reach the said rank. For this trophy you will need to complete 50 of any requests accumulated. Rest assured, there are A LOT more than 50 so this’ll come without struggle.

 Magical Foundation Growth
Performed Magical Foundation Growth.

Magical Foundation Growth is a feature that’s implemented post-game. When you reach level 99 and accumulate 2000 Magical Foundation Growth Points through battling, you will need to head to Ultear’s Crystal. This Crystal is found beside the S Rank Request Board, reverting a character back to level 1 will earn you this trophy.

 Tartaros Crusher
Defeated Mard Geer.

Story Related

Mard Geer is the main antagonist and he will be the final story event that’ll take place during the Final Chapter.

 A Guild Among Guilds
Attained Guild Rank S.

Guild Ranks are obtained through ranking up your guild by earning points through requests. You’ll start at the very bottom and work towards Rank S. Guild Rank S is the highest rank a guild can achieve in Fairy Tail. This requires a vast amount of points to level up your ranks and will not likely come until post-game.

 Upgrade
Upgraded a facility.

Upgrading facilities is one feature in Fairy Tail that’ll upgrade a number of stats, bonuses, shops, or features depending on which facility you upgrade. This trophy is for doing your very first upgrade, which’ll likely be in Chapter 1 as that’s when you get access to them.

Fantastic Beast and Where to Hunt It!
Defeated a rare monster.

A rare monster is an understatement. Every time you do a Regular Request, which are repeatable, you have a very low chance of the quest spawning a rare monster. You will be notified upon entering the map of this said rare monster, so all you’ll have to do is hunt it down when you see the message. The problem is the low rarity, this game has a total of 50 different Regular Requests that you’ll complete, and it is very likely this monster won’t appear any of those 50 making you continuously farm them until it does.

Wanna Go All Out? It’s Time to Duel!
Won a duel.

Dueling is a feature to have a 1-on-1 battle with different Fairy Tail characters. First time victories will reward you and the strength varies depending on the character. The lowest leveled member is Lucy, and will be available in Chapter 1. You can engage in duels by pressing Triangle.

 Unlocking the Second Origin
Unlocked the Second Origin.

Story Related

The Second Origin is a plot related trophy that’ll take place in Chapter 2 at Akane Beach.

 Lacrima Researcher
Synthesized a Grade 5 Lacrima.

Lacrima’s are Fairy Tails version of ‘accessories’ that’ll grant the wearer numerous different stat changes. Synthesizing a Grade 5 Lacrima will require you to have an upgraded Laboratory, so make sure you have that. Depending on which Lacrima you want to create, it’ll require different materials. Luckily for you, if you do all the side-quests, character quests, community services, and story then you’ll have enough materials to easily nab this without any farming whatsoever. So by end game, just pop into the laboratory and make one, voila!

 Law
Activated Mavis’ Law.

In Fairy Tail one of the core battling mechanics is the use of the Fairy Gauge. Occasionally, every so often there is a chance the regular finishing attack will become an Extreme Magic. Mavis’ Law is one of the Extreme Magic’s that can be used, unfortunately it’s RNG to a degree. The higher the combo meter, the higher the tier of Extreme Magic’s used. For Mavis’ Law to appear you’ll want a 10+ Combo Meter. At 10 it can start to appear with relative ease, but something closer to 15-20+ will assuredly give You Mavis’ Law with a very high percentage.

You’ll notice as your guild rank increases that it unlocks Extreme Magics, Mavis’ Law is obtained once your guild reaches Rank S.

 Crocus, the Blooming Capital
Arrived in Crocus.

Story-Related.

Crocus is the other city in the game and will be first accessible during Chapter 3 as part of the story line.

 BIG DAMAGE
Dealt 100,000 damage with Magic Chain.

100,000 Damage is laughably easy to get. It may seem daunting at game start when you’re topping out at 2,000 – 3,000 Damage but do not fret. By end-game you’ll have 5 team members at level 99, rank 3 affection allowing upwards of 20+ Fairy Gauge Combo’s, Bar drinks, and returning to lower maps for overpowering. Refer to ULTRA DAMAGE for more details.

 Magic Chain
Completed a 5 chain with Magic Chain.

During battles you’ll fill a feature called the Fairy Gauge. This gauge will allow your entire team to do a combined attack taking turns through the rotation of characters. As you progress in the story your character bonds will increase and so will your party size. You’ll likely get this before too far in-game, but with a full 5 member team at full bonds you’ll be able to chain up to 20+ so this is by no means difficult.

Champion of the Grand Magic Games
Crowned Champion of the Grand Magic Games.

Story Related

Being crowned Champion of the Grand Magic Games is a story event that’ll take place in Crocus during the end of Chapter 5.

 Rough and Rowdy
Destroyed 5 objects with Over Damage.

Throughout different maps (fields not cities), certain paths and areas will be blocked off by a blockade. These blockades have varying damage requirements you must meet for them to be destroyed. Ranging from 5,000 – 80,000+ damage for the small blockades. You’ll come across many blockades you won’t have the strength yet to destroy but none are missable, so you can always come back when stronger or have more members.

 Last Ages
Used Last Ages.

Story Related

Despite the usage of the word ‘use’ in the description, this is nothing that’s something you will actively do. Using Last Ages is a story event that’ll happen at the end of Chapter 6.

 All-Access Pass
Upgraded all facilities.

Facilities are upgradeable guild facilities that’ll bestow benefits upon your team. This trophy will want you to upgrade every facility only once, as the all upgrades is for Luxury Facilities. Due to the nature of some facilities being locked behind story progress, you will not be able to attain this before Chapter 7.

The following facilities are required:

~Laboratory
~Stage
~Kitchen
~Table Set
~Bar Counter
~Library Room
~Material Storeroom
~Item Shop
~Request Board
